My last review of Spring Massage was over 9 years ago, and that's how long I've been coming here. It continues to amaze me that over the years, they've maintained the quality of their massages and listened to customer feedback to make improvements. I pretty much exclusively get foot massages because I have severe psoriasis and I'm really self conscious. The massage therapists here are extremely understanding of my health issues and my decreased mobility over the years. They always make it comfortable and welcoming for me and are mindful of my autoimmune flareups. Some days I can't move properly, have zero mobility in my hands, and they accommodate me and help me move a bit better. Some days I scratch myself silly and it looks like terrifying, but they still help me find peace by putting the lotion on my calves and loosen up the muscles. I always add CBD (additional $10) but it helps calm my skin down a lot and it's great for my rheumatoid arthritis flareups. The quality and care Spring Massage delivers is comparable to those of high end "spas" without the hefty price tag. The prices are more than reasonable, their massage therapists are incredibly skilled and are willing to listen to your needs. I overheard another customer who came here for a pregnancy massage, and she had a few special requests. The owners listened and made sure they understood her completely before setting her up with a massage therapist. If you're looking for relaxing self care session that won't break the bank and walk away feeling like you're ready to face reality again, I highly recommend coming here to check it out for yourself. It's not a luxurious spa with all the fancy amenities. It's a small treat that's affordable enough to work it into a proper consistent self care routine. read more

For $90, I got a 60 minute body massage and 30 minute foot massage. Wonderful deep tissue massage. Worked all of the kinks out, and was incredibly relaxing. Decided to treat myself to a foot massage and narrowed down the options to either Spring or Bodhi. Based on the google reviews, Bodhi seemed a better bet, however the prices at Spring Massage won me over. Walked in and was immediately greeted and was directed to a nearby chair after selecting the 60 min. foot massage. My assigned therapist was Michael who set to work immediately. Here's the TLDR breakdown: Cons: -current chairs are an 80's reclining chair without ample lumbar support. But there are pillows that you can use. Comfort 7/10 -Decor is a bit garish, purple walls and again, those red chairs do not set off relaxation vibes. But then, just close your eyes during your treatment and problem solved. This ain't massage envy and there isn't an option for a Sweddish massage. Come here to get muscle knots and tension out, not to be frou frou'ed over. -The foot massages happen in the lobby/front space area so you will hear people calling and walking in. Bring earbuds -the hot stones could have been used for longer Pro: -the 60 min foot massage is actually 50 min foot w/ hot stone and 10 min back massage in the chair. This isn't advertised so I was pleasantly surprised to get this: 10/10 -prices are extremely nice and super affordable: 60 min foot for only $41 if paying via card: 10/10 -there was not any surprise fees, upfront payment or haggling over tip that was mentioned in google reviews of other nearby massage places -Michael was not a talker (we both had earbuds in lol), but he was efficient and perceptive. I always try to squeeze in a massage when I come to the area. Thus far Spring Massage has the most affordable, quality massage in metro Atlanta (Duluth). I would call ahead to ensure availability for your desired time. I was able to have my toddler sit quietly in an empty chair while I had a foot massage. The employees were all friendly to her and made sure she too was comfortable. My husband and others in our party had full body and back deep tissue massages. We all were feeling rejuvenated post session! Our muscles were worked on pretty good so we all were sore haha! Will definitely be returning as a returning customer. read more

I used to really love Spring Massage until my recent visit. This is still a good place if you're looking for a quick massage and don't mind noise similar to getting a massage at a mall or something. The head to toe is an incredible deal ($45 for 1 hour) and the masseuse are usually good and will help relieve any pain. Unfortunately, the problem much lies in the noise issue here. Every time I've come, without a fail, there are other customers sitting on the waiting couch laughing out loud or having loud conversations. This is extremely rude but may not be in other cultures I'm not sure. However, a massage is usually supposed to be quiet and relaxing and you will not get that here if your purpose is to get away from noise and relax. My masseuse also was talking to another masseuse next to him causing him to pause my massage every min or so. I was so furious at the loud laughing customers, my masseuse treating his job like a social event, and even masseuse switch off for some reason (maybe half way tired?) I can't say that I'll be back until a long time and I hope the business improves their model with no talking signs or building a separate section and door to the massage area. This place may also be centered around a different target market and it's totally understandable then. I just had an incredible massage experience. I wished I had known this place earlier. My body has been aching for awhile now. Tried to stretch, run, and lift weights. Wasn't helping at all. Until I found this place today! I booked a 2pm appointment and Ms. Judy was my girl and she did an excellent job. How do you know when a masseuse know their stuff? It's when you say nothing at all and she is able to track down all my knots and used her elbow and pressure to get the kinks out of my body. It's been over 5 years since I've found a decent massage place. I will be back for sure. I got the 45 min back and 45 min foot. I love running, so my foot was thanking her quietly while I took a light nap in the chair. Don't take my word for it!! Try it out yourself! Oh yeah, when you first walk in, be real quiet. I'm particular because I require really aggressive massages from a masseuse that can feel knots and work them full pressure, and 95% of masseuses don't do it (I'm kind of small so maybe they think I can't take it?). Painfully therapeutic I suppose. I had Kim (sweet Korean lady)- and it was one of the top 3 massages of my life. If you need deep tissue (elbows etc) and haven't been satisfied with the pressure from others, book Kim (just ask for a hard/deep massage). I want to like this place so bad. I love how easy it is to set an appointment or walk in and the prices are amazing. When I have a good masseuse, the value is unbeatable. But today, I left with my body feeling limp... not from relaxation, from pain. I'm not sure if I looked like someone my masseuse hated in a past life but I felt like he had a personal vendetta against me and my joints. My 30 min chair massage included 20 minutes of a pointy elbow and the full weight of a man pressed into my skin, there were 5 minutes of joint cracking, and 5 minutes of a pretty pleasant scalp massage. We must have just had some miscommunication because I asked three times for less pressure and each time the pressure increased. By the end, I was expecting him to make me say uncle. I was going to leave but talked myself into staying with the assumption that the pain would work out knots and I'd have a brand new body when I left. False. I've been home for 30 minutes now and feel like I need to take an ice bath to soothe my aching shoulders. read more

I have been here twice in the past week. The first time, I went with my partner. We both got the full body massage and were given couples massage room. My boyfriend enjoyed his massage. My masseuse was excellent- she didn't ask me about what kind of oil I wanted, but she did a great job with the massage itself. I was sore on my back for the next three days. Once I recovered, I decided to take my sister, grandma, and 2 friends to get a massage before their flight back. All of us enjoyed it! This time, Lulu gave me a perfect (and I mean perfect) full body massage. She got all of the knots I had in my shoulders and consistently massaged me until I felt like I was melting into the massage bed lol. All of my friends and family said the massages they received were legit and really, really nice. We are usually picky about massage places, but Spring Massage is amazing. I count it the luck of the draw or divine intervention to come right in without a reservation, as a walk-in on Sunday afternoon, and got a fully body massage in 60 minutes with Kim. Oh that was sooooo good, she had masterfully skilled techniques and handiwork, and read my shoulder and neck tensions so well, worked out the kinks and stiffness, and never pushing or kneading too hard beyond my pain threshold. When you first walk in, you may not understand why it's rated so high as t doesn't look like a typical fancy shambala looking center massage place. When she first started off, I thought she was going to do the whole massage with just my towel on, but when she rolled it down and put on that coconut oil (which is $10 more) O.M.F.G it was heaven. She beat the burden off my shoulders and the world off my back! ( ' -') she gets in there hard because she loves you. There were points where she rolled the towel to half my butt and the side of my butt to massage it to the point to where if she tapped my ass I'd belt out "I'm not for free, yo!" It was easy to get a same day appointment for me and my friends. 2 of us opted for the hour long massage and another friend did the head to toe option. The place is clean and all our massages were very relaxing. I hardly ever fall sleep in a massage and I ended up sleeping for a bit since I was so zen. Foot massage: you start off soaking your feet in a hot blue concoction. Then you get a 50 minute foot massage. They end with a 10 minute arm, back, and neck massage in a chair. They were able to get knots out from my back that sometimes don't even come out in a 60 minute body massage. Overall, the experience was great. I don't like how the men receptionist tells you what to tip at the end. And if you don't tip what he says it's frown upon. The service is being paid for. Tips are extra for the person giving the service. They are paid a percentage out of the service fee as well. Any tip above that should be appreciated. That needs to be fixed or it'll run customers off for attempting to make them pay what you feel they should. Not cool at all!! She has over 20+ years of experience and used reflexology along with stretching to get my shoulders to loosen up and worked on my lower back. I love getting foot or body massages every once in a while, so this place is pretty much my go-to in the Duluth area. The first few times I came here, I got the 1 hr foot massage. The massage itself is very relaxing and soothing, but the area where it is done is a bit loud. It is in the common area where the front desk is, so you can hear people talking and it could be distracting when you're trying to relax. However, if you get a body massage in one of the rooms, it could be much more relaxing. I've noticed that if you get one of the massage rooms on the right hand side, you can hear people from the restaurant next door, so I would ask for a room on the left hand side. My first massage I have ever went to in Georgia so I was skeptical because I randomly walked into the first massage place I saw. Walking in the area was very clean and good atmosphere though I was kinda shocked about how some of the massage chairs were in the lobby but surprisingly it remained quite peaceful. I did the Head and Toe combo for $40 for an hour. They were extremely kind and also attentive to me. I had surgery on my right ankle a year ago so I was nervous about the pressure. But they were already a step ahead of me asking me if the pressure is okay or whether it's okay to touch that area. I generally go to Harmony Massage, but decided to try this place out. Since it was a week day, it was not that busy, but two parties were waiting before me. I only waited for 5 minutes before I was lead to my room. I will never understand why the chair massage chairs are right there in the lobby. Two people were receiving this service and so the parties that are waiting on the couch are just sitting there looking at that. Sometimes, I don't care to disrobe and so I appreciate a chair massage on occasion. However, I just wouldn't feel comfortable with being the entertainment while clients wait (nothing else to look at) or having anyone walking in being greeted by my chair massage. The foot massage area is adjacent to the lobby and thankfully separated somewhat by some sheer curtains (but not totally). I would say it's a no frills type of place. It's not beautiful, just very plain. It doesn't smell amazing. You might notice, as I did, that the towels are frayed and worn. I didn't hate my massage, but there were a few noted flaws. I begin with the fact that the floor in my room needed to be swept. It was noticeably dirty with string and a candy wrapper and some other debris all over it. Also, as I was disrobing, a male employee (I'm sure of it) passed my room and let loose the longest, loudest, most disgusting burp ever. He had to feel much better after that. I, however, was repulsed. It did not inspire my relaxation. Next, my masseuse asked me if I wanted the regular oil or the coconut oil. What she should have asked was if I wanted the regular oil or the coconut oil for an additional $10. I had to probe to get to the fact that there was an up-charge. I do not respect the practice of not disclosing up-charges right up front. I need it stated in the same sentence that you ask me about additional services or items. Don't surprise me when it's pay time. By the by, as I was getting dressed, I saw that "coconut oil" was going to be a concoction of oil mixed with Equate coconut scented lotion from Walmart. Other things, my masseuse had on loud shoes that clonked whenever she moved. Aren't quiet shoes during a massage in chapter one, page one? Also, she kept crashing into the rolling chair stool. At least 3 times. Most of my 60 minute body massage was focused on my back. I'd say about 45 minutes really. That left about 15 minutes for my lower body, my front side, and my scalp. That means that she really rushed at the end. It was obvious as her long slow rubbing turned into something like quick jabs. Lastly, I need that whatever you do to the right side, you do to the left side also. She did some good massaging tricks on my left leg and I guess she forgot about my right leg. I hated that. I think that time got away and equality be damned. I enjoyed the music, which featured birds softly chirping. I enjoyed the hot stone portion of the massage, which was included. The prices are really good here. I paid $50 for a body(ish) massage and I saw some other really good pricing for combination massages that included the feet. I guess I'm just into aesthetics, cleanliness, and a high priority on relaxation (and all that it entails) when I want a massage and I've just experienced better. read more

Wow. This place.. this place made me want to eat kale and cleanse my house with sage. I went in at 8:30pm for a quick 30 min body massage (I usually get 30 min body massages bc I get anxious about labeling massaged. I know it's weird) I walk in and I tell them what I need and they didn't even ask questions, led me straight to a room and got to business. I had a lady named Emily and Emily was WERKIN IT. She was getting on the table, using her hands, arms, elbow, the heel of her hand. She was getting it. And she cracked all the places I asked her to. At the beginning she asked light, med, or hard pressure and medium was perfect for me (I do a lot of strength training) but there were times were I was like *ow* but I knew it was worth it. She continued with the massage, doing arms and legs a little but focusing on the back area. This went on for about 20-25 min and then she came back w hot stones and a hot towel and omg. This hot stone thing brought me closer to seeing the light. It was soooo relaxing I wanted her to do that for another 10 minutes but I was coming to and end. And then she rubbed off all the massage oil w the hot towel while massaging at the same time. The last part made me laugh bc she was like lifting my body up by my hands, flinging me around like a rag doll (in a good way) I left in a daze. I forgot what time it was and walked out and it was dark. It was seriously amazing. I will probably come back every week to see Emily. Few things: make sure you tip, make sure you drink plenty of water after!!!!!! Be vocal about the pressure you need. I was goi g to do 30min foot and 30min body but I didn't have time today. But for $40?!? That's crazy inexpensive. They're located next to Kung Fu tea and honey pig. Open everyday 10-10. read more
