First time here. I clearly asked for a chair massage. She told me it would be 10 minutes. Then she said in the next minute, we can take you here and tried to give me a full body massage. I told her no thank you I would like a chair massage. Then she said OK and took the chair out and asked me if I wanted a deep tissue and I said no, but just please focus on my shoulders and my lower back. They listen to your needs and always leave me feeling relaxed. I see May for my massages, but have actually had massages from most of the staff and every experience has been great . This was my second time. I liked the first massage better since I felt relaxed at that time. Today, I thought the massage was average. She did not seem to be experienced in massaging heads. I wanted a head massage with oil. But, she did ok. I was aching in my shoulder and neck, but I hardly got a massage on my neck. The session sort of started abruptly without introducing herself or asking me any conditions or preferences. So I did not have a chance to request a focused massage on the neck at the beginning. I would appreciate a bit more communication. The thing I notice is how cold the receptionist or owner? seems to be every time. She gives me a really cold and angry impression. I don't know why. Her facial expression and demeanor are not welcoming at the beginning and not appreciative at the end at all. It makes me wonder every time. I have always received great service here. The only issue with this place is their actual location and where they located the foot massage area. It's not separated from the front entrance so it's very hard to relax with people coming in the door and the employee's phones ringing that are left at the front counter. This location also seems to attract a lot of people that are unaware of proper etiquette for this type of establishment. Numerous times there have been other customers taking long phone calls on speakerphone while getting a foot massage and the employees have done nothing to stop the disruption. Since there are restaurants in the spaces on both sides both of them the body massage rooms have a lot of noise coming in through the walls on both sides. My favorite person to make appointments with here was Julia however when they reopened after the Covid closure I was told she did not return to work there. Their refusal to properly inform rude people on their phones that this is a place of relaxation coupled with the departure of my favorite therapist has stopped me from returning here. read more

I am sitting in the doctors office. The doctor said that I may have a fractured neck. This is because I got a massage from Empress Massage and the therapist walked on the back of my neck. I had been there several times before and it was great, but this time the lady severely damaged my neck. Stay away...not worth it to roll the dice with your health. read more

This place is located right next to the Discover Mills Mall. Walking in, you first notice four chairs in the main room area for foot massages. Looking through the beaded curtain, there looked to be about six private rooms for body massages. Place was clean and quiet. However, my first experience there wasn't that great. I was greeted by a lady. I told her I wanted just a foot massage. She pushed real hard trying to upsell me to a combo: 30 minutes foot massage, 30 minutes body massage. It was a turn off how pushy she was. Finally, she went back to find a person for me. She comes back and says that there is only one person available that has some back problems. Because of her back problems, she can't sit on a stool for too long. So...you guess it...she recommended that I do combo. I just walked out of the place. I went with my cousin for a "head-to-toe" foot massage. For $30, we were supposed to get a massage in one of those comfy special chairs, which would probably be out in public, but thats okay because I know how that works. I'm from Cali and I've been to plenty of these kinds of places. The woman on the phone was nice enough, English... okay and could schedule us same day. I liked the very cool lighting in the lobby and waited to be seen. They offered us tea which was nice, but we didn't get to enjoy until after the massage, by then which it was cold. Once the massage began, I realized my massage girl, although very pretty, didn't seem to know what she was doing. Furthermore, I noticed a few white, older males who were by themselves, that were going in the back with a girl. Hmmmm.... The massage was mediocre, but what really got me upset was that, even though we scheduled an appointment time, the woman seemed short of massage people. She herself massaged my cousin, but since the chairs are right in the lobby, she also greeted patrons, directed other workers and answered the phone! I mean once or twice, I can let go... but this kept going on. She gave my cousin an extra 5-10 mins, which I thought was the least she could do... To be fair, it is the day after Thanksgiving so I don't know how much that had to do with the overall experience. Then, to add insult to injury, she insisted on being paid cash. Even though they accept card. I don't know if she noticed the cash in my wallet when I went to grab my card, but she was very insistent which was very off-putting. Worst massage ever. She literally rubbed my back with oil for 50 min then rubbed my forehead with oil for 10 min and called it a day. My shoulders were so tense and I didn't even get a thumb on my shoulders. I felt like I was being lathered up to be cooked for thanksgiving dinner like a turkey with no pressure being added to be even called a massage. I went here today and was very disappointed with massage. First I explained to her I didn't want a hard massage. She preceded to give hard massage with deep pressure had to explain over and over again. Than as you leave at counter they sit there to see how much tip you going leave. I left a $5 tip because I wasn't pleased with the massage. The lady goes back and forth with the other workers in there talking in another language which I can clearly can tell she was mad with her tip. Enjoyed a massage-cupping combination hour for $65. Felt the massage was as strong as it could've been and worked every inch of my neck-back along with my legs. Very happy with Lina's performance. The cupping therapy was really the crown jewel of the session, however. My back was covered with cups which remained there for the better part of half an hour. I appreciate that it's not for everybody, but anybody interested in trying to pursuing should absolutely consider coming to this Empress location. read more

I got a gift from my Father for my birthday, I have heard my parents talk about this nice place for a long time. So I decided to give it a try this afternoon. First of all the place is really nice and clean. What I like most is the private room for body massage, sheets and towels are clean after each customer, room is very quite. I had a relaxing time in there. I had a good body massage with one of their massage therapists Cici. To be honest this is my first body massage, like ever. I was really nervous about it, I really glad that Cici is nice and skilled, asking me about the pressure to make sure I have a good first experience. Price is pretty good. And I enjoyed the massage, if you want some good quality relaxing time, I would definitely recommend this place for you. read more

I have gone to this location for many years and have never had a problem. That all changed on February 26th. I went in as I usually do as a walk in to see if they were available for one foot massage. That is when I had the misfortune of meeting Lina. She stole a large sum of cash out of my shirt pocket while I was lying there trying to relax. She started on my shoulders while my feet were soaking and then moved to my feet. She was sweating profusely while doing massage constantly whipping sweat off of her face and arms with a towel. I initially thought that she perhaps had the flu but now looking back on it I realize that she was nervous because of what she had stolen from my pocket. About 10 min before the foot massage was over, her and the owner, Yuqin Wang switched places. Lina went to the back never to come back and Yuqin stayed to check me out. It was that moment I quickly realized that my money was gone from my shirt pocket I payed them and went out to my truck to double check if I just left it in there. It was nowhere to be found. I went back in and told Yuqin what Lina had done and she laughed at me. I immediately called the police! I made a report with officer Joel Coward who took no less than an hour to even respond. He went inside to question the women who massaged me- but all of a sudden no one spoke very much English. Yuqin said she would translate for Lina. He said "This man is accusing you of stealing money from him" she said and I quote " I no take money from his pocket" while she proceeded to grab the exact pocket the money was taken from. I never showed her or anyone else but officer Coward which pocket the money was taken out of. Needless to say I filed a small claims lawsuit against them and Criminal charges are pending. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all cost. read more

Came in without an appointment. Me and my boyfriend wanted the couples massage. We were promised the couples room if we could wait 25 minutes. Waited 25 minutes but were placed in separate rooms and charged the price of two full body massages instead of the $10 cheaper couples massage... like we had asked for. I visited salon twice yesterday! The 1st time, it was AMAZING! I'm not from here so I wanted to try another service so I went back 20 minutes later. The massage itself was just OK the 2nd time. I feel like it was rushed bc it was at closing. Then the noise from the restaurant next door made it extremely hard to enjoy but nonetheless I was still excited to be able to get a massage! The 1st time I gave a tip bc I truly enjoyed it but the 2nd time I didn't tip bc of the OK massage that felt rushed and I couldn't relax/enjoy bc of the restaurant noise. The lady that checked me out asked twice if there was no tip and that pissed me off! 1st of all I just patronanized your business twice in one hour! 2nd, you don't ask people to tip you! 3rd, you should allow the customer to determine what and if they tip in this line of business or you will definitely lose customer's suggesting they tip! Not to sound racist but I have notice this about Asian cultures..they get upset if you don't tip and if told their work is bad! I doubt I ever support again! read more

I have been to Empress msg over 10x now. I have always been greeted very nice and friendly. I get an hour foot massage every time. It is ALWAYS excellent. I travel to Hong Kong and China 3-4x a year and get massages there. Empress msg is about as good foot msg as in Asia. The price is very good too. I have been looking for a massage place that I wanted to make my go-to place and this is it. I walked in when they opened and was taken right in. I had a really sore back, I couldn't hardly bend over. I had Anna as my masseuse and she was great. In addition to my back feeling so much better, I left feeling so relaxed.
