After my first experience at Spring Massage, I knew it would be my new staple massage place. I live 45 minutes away and it's worth the drive every time; I've been there probably a dozen times now. I have always been able to get same day appointments after work and even when I show up early when traffic is better than expected, most of the time they get me in earlier! You truly can't beat the price for the quality I've received. I initially found this place because I hated spending $100+ on massages when I knew places like this existed, especially in the Duluth area. I typically go for the one-hour full body massage - only $50 (plus my usual $10 tip)! Last time I did a combo massage (30 minutes back on the table, 30 minute foot in a lounge chair in the front of house) for only $40. Perfect to work out kinks in your back and take care of your feet in one go. The fact that they don't charge for a quick hot stone at the end of the back portion is such a nice added bonus! I've had three or four different therapists, both men and women, and they've all been great, each with their own style of massage. We called ahead and got an appointment with no issue (1 hour prior). Check in was easy . They gave me a list of massage and asked which on we would like . We chose the 30 foot and 30 body due to limited time. , but I would definitely recommend getting a longer session ! It was too good to end so fast . They gave also offer you hot stone and towels at the end . Only difference I noticed was I didn't get any thigh rub . (I been to make Chinese foot massages) but you can't beat the price ! Set an appointment for my mother and I for noon. There was no wait when we got there which was good. We both had a 90 min massage with 30 min foot massage. We got the foot massage first and it was amazing!! They used hot stones and warm towels. The body massage was not so great. The hole in the bed where you face goes was very uncomfortable. I had to keep adjusting my head to try to get comfortable, did not work! I asked for medium pressure and it definitely felt more like hard. Again they used hot stones and warm towels which were nice. Towards the end I was flipped over to massage my head and it was horrible! The pressure was way too hard. I had a headache from laying on the uncomfortable bed and the head massage made it worse. I will not tell anyone not to go get a massage there but I know I will not be going back! read more

Massages are a good way to unwind! I highly recommend calling ahead to make an appointment rather than relying on walking in since they are very popular. I went in for the one hour foot massage (it's only $30!!!) and upon arrival, they seat you behind some curtains to the right of the entrance. The seats are comfy, though it can get cold there when the door is opened, so that's a bit of a downside. They first sit you down and get you to soak you feet in a hot bath for about 5 minutes. Then they get right to work, and boy they really dig in there! My feet felt pummeled to bits, but it was worth it afterwards. During the last 15-20 minutes of the hour, they move you to the massage chairs where they work your shoulders, neck, back, and head. My massuer focused on my neck and shoulders after saying I had a lot of tension there. I came back a second time for a fully body massage for one hour ($50 for an hour, or $100 for two hours, etc.) with the same massuer who did my foot massage. I think his name was either Robbie or Robin, but I can't remember. He gave me a deep tissue massage, focusing on my neck, back, and hips. Even though during the massage, it caused me a lot of discomfort, it was worth it to feel such relief in those areas since they have always caused me issues. The prices are not bad and do not be afraid to tell them if it's too much or too little pressure or if you'd prefer them to focus on another area. But overall, they seem to know what they're doing and I don't think I've had a massage in a long time where I've felt so pain free afterwards! I'll definitely stop in again next time I'm in town. read more

The massage was ok.. My boyfriend & I got the " Head to Toe " but overall it was just too noisy. It's not very relaxing due to the fact that you're getting the massage right in front of everyone who walks in. I asked if they could close the curtain so it wouldn't be as bright and so that my boyfriend & I could have a bit more privacy & relaxation for our massage but... all they did was dim the lights which made absolutely no difference with the sun still shining in from outside. I was so pleased to be able to get in the day of calling. Most places were booked and nothing was available. I was hesitant about that I called and could choose what time I wanted to come but let me tell you! Amazing, everything that I needed! I was brought right into the room for my body massage, at first I thought they were going to leave the sheet on the entire time but they didn't. The masseuse was able to get out my knots near my neck and shoulders and ouch did it hurt but I feel so much better now. Then I moved to the common room to finish with a 30 minute foot massage. Ohhh my goodness it was incredible. The masseuse asked if the pressure was okay and I had a very peaceful, enjoyable experience. The price was very reasonable also! Came here while visiting the Korean Town with my wife from Florida. A gentleman name Will and a lady name Helen were amazing to us. I usually ask for Cola but she's always booked if you don't call ahead. Actually, call ahead for anyone period bc they are super busy on the weekends. My back up person is now Jenny. I had a great couples massage here with my husband. We did the 30 min body and 30 min foot. The body portion of this is just your upper body, which is exactly what we needed extra attention on so it was perfect for us. The woman who did my husband's massage used heavy pressure hat he requested and he said it was great. Mine was also good. The foot massage was nice too. It was just in the front of the store so it was bright and hard to just close your eyes, but still nice and relaxing. We will definitely be coming back! read more

Mark and Carol were wonderful! It was my first time getting a massage at Spring and I must say it's one of the best massages I've received. Mark was awesome. I am usually very very ticklish at my calf and feet but I don't normally say anything when i go in, I'll only tell the masseuse when it tickles, but Mark used the perfect amount of pressure and did not even tickled at all. Just when I thought oh that's going to tickle, I'll tell him but then not at all. My friend had Carol and said she was great too! She had tired and tight shoulders and Carol used a lot of her strength to help ease that area. The language barrier was great too compared to many other places I've been to. read more

This place was okay. I'd probably go back. It was clean, professional and the prices are very reasonable. I had the head to toe which includes a 10-minute head and hand massage, a 35-minute foot massage and a 15 minute back massage. The head massage was wonderful. Parts of the other massages were a little uncomfortable, you definitely need to tell them to ease up on the pressure if that's not what you want. My only gripe is that the main treatment areas (unless you are getting full body massage) are right upfront with no door separations. I could hear people going in and out, hear conversations and that loud a$$ phone. it was very distracting. Overall a solid experience, but not great. I requested a deep tissue massage and it was definitely deep! I would give it a five-star, but the lady at the front desk was a bit rude. After my sister gave a 20% tip. The place is clean and relaxing music played in the background. The massages were great. I prefer a firm massage to work out tight spots and Helen managed to find them without my saying. The first time I went here was to get a 1 hour body massage. It was one of the best massages I'd had in a long time. Tracy was very professional and genuinely wanted to do a great job. I really liked the environment because it was clean and there weren't any employees just hanging around doing nothing. I returned today, a month later, and it was a totally different story. The masseuse I had did a horrible job. She asked if I wanted soft, med, or hard pressure. I said hard; she said ok. However, what I got wasn't hard; several times during the session I kept reminding her. She always said "yes", and again no change. She just seemed to go thru the motions but didn't really seem interested in doing a good job. After my massage, when I went out to the lobby areas to pay, all the foot massage chairs were occupied by sleeping employees. Let me say, this was so unseemly. I had such high hopes for Spring Massage, thinking that they weren't going to be one of the typical massage places in Duluth. Sadly, it looks like they're like all the others. read more

I had asked if they had shorts because my pants were too tight- it was a spontaneous massage- but it seemed as if they didnt understand what I was saying, which was frustrating. The guy proceeded to massage my legs with my pants rolled up mid calf. So I paid for a full massage but only half my legs were massaged. Im not sure if I came on an off day or what but I certainly did not have the same experience as other reviewers. I came around noon on a Saturday. It was very busy. However, they were able to immediately accommodate me. I was drawn to the 1 hour foot ($30), which is the lowest price I have seen in Atlanta. The LaZ boy chairs are immediately attached to the front of the spa. It was incredibly loud with all the masseuses talking to each other the whole time or guests talking on the phone. I really really appreciate the quiet zones other spas require. My masseuse did a pretty terrible job. She kind of just sat there and stroked my feet while talking to the lady next to her. Then midway she stopped and had someone else finish for her... I was overall ready to leave before my hour was up. I might come back on a weekday when maybe its less rushed. read more

My foot massage was pretty good. Can't beat $30 for an hour foot massage. I had to knock off 2 stars because of the ambiance. I actually fell asleep, but woke up when my masseuse picked up the business phone while massaging my feet. Customers are constantly walking in and out. You hear everything if you are getting a foot massage because those chairs are in the lobby area. One annoying thing was a customer (I actually thought she worked there) was talking on her cell having a full blown conversation while she was waiting for her massage.
