No plain bagels on a Sunday morning??? The workers then put my 12 bagels in the largest cardboard box imaginable. Aren't bagels one of sturdiest foods there is? A paper bag is sufficient. I first tried Jeff's about a month ago when a coworker brought in a variety for our office. I loved it so i decided to go back today. I ordered a plain bagel with strawberry and plain cream cheese. I'm kind of picky about strawberry cream cheese but their's is perfect for my liking! Bagels are super soft, decent in size, and reasonably priced. They even have an app for ordering ahead which is designed really well. I didn't get a great look at the place but it is a smaller like coffee shop kind of set up and based on where the counter is for ordering and pick up, it can feel rather crowded kind of easily. Customer service, however is iffy.. When I walked in, no one greeted me, said "good morning" or "welcome." I stood at the pick up counter for at least 3-5 minutes before anyone found it necessary to acknowledge me and ask for a name for the order. The first person at the counter helped 2 guests that were ahead of me, then continued to work blindly as I stepped up to the counter. The same employee then almost handed me a 3rd customer's order by accident and I pulled my hand back after hearing the name wasn't mine and she. (the worker) goes "Oh yea I was gonna say, "you're not *customer's name* wait." casually chuckles it off and proceeds to STILL not ask for my name or order information........This employee then went to trade places with another girl (I think Victoria was her name) who then asked me for the name on my order and began to look for it. When she could not find it (it was out of her reach/view), the other employee who was ignoring me originally, helped Victoria find my order and handed it to me. I said "Thank you" and the employee goes "yep" ????? Kinda uncomfortable situation and I wish they offered curbside and delivery options because I'd honestly rather not go inside again. I was the only person of color out of the 3 other customers and 3 employees that I saw and I would not put it past anyone that this would be the reason I was conveniently "overlooked" for so long when I could have been in and out in seconds, had someone simply said "Hello".. read more

I love bagels. Grew up in NJ. Loved to stop for an everything with cream cheese or pick up a bacon egg and cheese on the weekend. Since moving to Florida I was on the lookout for a great approximation of one of the things I missed from home. This place used to be great. It felt like I'd found a gem. Not the best bagel I'd had, but it hit the spot as a great reminder of a NJ bagel. However, the bagels are now small, misshapen, and the texture is bad. I've given them many chances but they have continued to decline over the last 6 months or so. Still better than Einstein's but won't be supporting anymore. What a disappointment. read more

We heard about this place from the community. The food was great, the bagels are delicious and are the highlight of the whole operation. That unfortunately is where it ends. The cashier, was nice but everything seems so overprice. A single side of crème cheese is 2 dollars!! That's ridiculous. Even the owners were there and only 1 of them said hi to us. There's ripped apart Coca-Cola trays with half emptied cans. There is stuff displayed all over it's so tacky. Trays displayed everywhere, and the art on the walls isn't even about the area. It's about lake eola, we're close to winter garden, lake Eola is maybe at best a 25 minute drive. Something crazy to me, THEY DONY TOAST THEIR BAGLES!! You've got an oven back there where you bake the bagels, and ample counter space for a toaster. There's plenty of sweet crème cheeses but only 1 sweet bagel option which is the cinnamon raisin bagel. Bulk bagel prices are good and the actual bagel itself is really good, including the creme cheese I had which was the, garlic and onion. I was really excited to check this place out. An ex-New Yorker who also has a mild addiction to carbs is a problem when you can't find good bagels and/or pizza. Luckily I feel pretty good about my bad habit now that I've found Jeff's. The bagels are a little different (my grandmother would never allow any bagel with jalapeños in her home. Ever. Never) but I like the riff on the classics. The Asiago everything and rosemary salt are my current go to's and highly recommended. I keep missing out on the chocolate chip variety, but we'll get there eventually! Went on a friend's recommendation. Got my usually everything bagel with cream cheese. I'm sorry but I was only able to eat half of it. It was super salty and garlicky. I could still taste the garlic 2 hrs later. I also got a plain bagel with cinnamon cream cheese and the cream cheese wasn't mixed together well. There were huge chunks of plain cream cheese. I would not recommend this place. I have had better bagels elsewhere. The prices are a little high. I got 2 bagels and 2 tiny side of cream cheese for $10. Not worth the price in my opinion. The amount of cream cheese they give is just barely enough to cover each bagel and definitely not worth $2. I could go to the store and get a tub of cream cheese for the price I was charged for two tiny cream cheese. As New Yorkers we are thoroughly impressed by this place. The bagels were light and airy the way I love them, my husband prefers them dense and heavy. We got a dozen and enjoyed most flavors, the ones with Asiago cheese were a bit overpowering. The blueberry was delicious but very mildly flavored. The 3 cream cheeses we tried were the Strawberry, Banana Pudding and Chive and Onion. The strawberry one was very liquidy. Tasty but watery. So glad to have found this place! I visited on a Saturday afternoon 20 minutes before closing time expecting for them to be preparing to close down, but oh no! They were in full swing selling bagels to several customers. The staff was friendly and welcoming. As a first timer I had several questions and they were answered with a friendly smile. I chose to order a mixed sample and so glad I did. Don't miss the Asiago bagel, it was delightful but truthfully so we're all that we sampled. Freshly baked, delicious authentic bagel flavor and texture. My family loved them and asked when I'm going back for more so they could order their favorites. Jeff is typically in the shop, at least he has been most every time I come by. If he doesn't have your bagel, it is possible (provided he is making more) for him to make your bagel. If this is an option, and you have the extra 10 minutes, DO IT. That bagel comes straight out of the oven, and there is just no competition for how great that bagel will be. If it's a Saturday and it's 10 am and you're still thinking about going, try again at an earlier time. Aka get there before 10. Delicious bagels with the right texture. They run specials from time to time and you should try those. For the regulars, jalapeño cheddar, rosemary salt, Asiago everything, cacio e pepe are my go-tos. The lox box is a must. My favorite bagel in the world is the Original Brooklyn Bagel, a Jewish deli in Midwood/Flatlands Brooklyn where I grew up. My second favorite bagel is Jeff's. There's a lot of mediocre bagels out there- I didn't even realize how mediocre until I had Jeff's. Why? Because a mediocre bagel's un-toasted texture is all wrong- either too tough or too chewy , or too bread like... Jeff's bagels are good cold, warm/fresh from the oven, and toasted the next day (or the next day after that...). I first found Jeff's bagels at Lake Speer landing. I also ordered a few times for pick up from their house, driving 35 ish miles each way just for bagels. I was happy to support their Kickstarter for the store, reward or no reward. I moved away from the area, but was able to snag my bagels recently on a trip back to Orlando. They were worth the wait as always. It was also my first time trying the rebake method for frozen bagels- worked great! The Otus cold brew I got with my bagels was great as well. My only suggestion would be to find some better way of packaging the bagels as they mixed in a way that made it difficult to tell what was what (the salt comes off the salt bagels, the onion, garlic and rosemary get on other bagels....). In store, it would probably be useful to have the bagel racks labeled. Jeff and Danielle are really sweet and I wish them the best success with the store- they've done a great job with it so far and it's a good addition to Ocoee! read more

I feel like I have been waiting years to finally get to try some bagels. All I can say is it was worth the wait. I had decided to order bagels to be delivered early the next morning so I was looking where I could order from and I may have let out a little OMG at 2am when I saw I could order them to be delivered. I ordered a dozen bagels, some jalapeño cream cheese and two lox box's. It was all AMAZING! Just reading the words lox box brought back a flood of memories. We had one delivered every weekend to our house growing up. The portion size that you get in one of the boxes is enough for two people. I had no idea it would be so packed with lox. And no skimping on the cream cheese either. There was enough for two bagels and not just a thin coat. The lox was sooooo good. It was funny when my mom saw the bagels she said those are small bagels and I laughed and said you mean they are actually the right size bagel. Some of the best bagels that I have had in a very long time!! I was able to swing by on Thursday AM and picked 6 to share with the family. I took a quick bit of the salt in the car and it was delicious just the way it is. It was a good fresh bagel with lots of flavor. The ones that I chose are Everything Bagel, Asiago Cheese Everything Bagel, Cacio y pepe (I didn't get to try this one before my daughter ate the whole thing), Salt, Cinnamon Raisin, and Sesame. They were all delicious. I actually melted a piece of cheese on what was left of the salt bagel for a quick lunch bit. These are fresh so don't order a bunch and let them sit. Plan to order and eat in the first few days since these are totally fresh! read more

Great bagels. Hot and fresh in the morning. Only problem is they run out by 9am. I got there at 8am on Sunday and had 12 people in line in front of me. It seems be be a small husband and wife shop. He bakes and she sells. Looking forward to them getting more staff so they can make more bagels and maybe add some more baked goods and flavored cream cheese. Cookies would be a great add too if they can match the quality of the bagels. I think they'll get there eventually. But what they are doing now is stellar and the bagels are delicious.
