Unfortunately, service needs lots of improvement…read more It was as if as soon as they see customers they run away. Shopping for my daughter, we wanted a little more fashionable look so we decided on Footlocker instead of Famous Footwear where we normally shop. When we entered there was one associate doing shipment at the register (?) , one standing at the front. And another with a customer. We looked at the shoes for a bit, and when I turned to check if any associate was going to check in if we needed sizes all were behind the register? Waited a little, and finally was set on a few to try on. I turned around to check again. Still not with customers but not eager to help in anyway. We walked out and decided to stick with Famous Footwear. It's a shame , I found shoes for my daughter and myself. But lack of interest from the employees made us shop elsewhere.

There was also another customer in the store who wasn't being helped. They were more interested in playing games with each other. They were playing this game that my 15 year old son plays with his friends. One person makes a motion and the other person has to avoid it. They take turns going back and forth. Oh well. I perused the store and looked at some Nike shoes and some Crocs. I've been into buying shoes lately. They had a pair of exclusive Spider Man Crocs that I contemplated buying, but I had just ordered a regular pair from the Crocs website. I left the store without buying anything and those teens were still busy playing their games.

Old school shoes…read more.. Is now the biggest support for our soles as I remember shopping here for my shoes when I was very little was very surprise to see that they have survived all the big shops filled with styles that many crave for though I must admit that I haven't been there in decades until having feet problems and my podiatrist suggested picking up some support for my sad and aching feet. Located on the ground floor of University Plaza which is right behind Raising Cane's on South King Street and the entrance is easiest on Kuilei St as University Ave can get very busy with traffic. You can see their sign right below the staircase though I accidentally walked into a vape shop lol Uyeda is located right beside it. Walking in I can instantly tell it's not at all what it used to be though it's so nice and clean and very organized a lady came out to greet me and find out what I was looking for and for me to describe what foot issues I have as I was told that many bartenders and various working folks that are on their feet constantly are regulars here. Seeing a rack with Oofos and Hoka shoes just to name a few are all known for comfort. As I found the insoles and suggestions it's the place to come for Black Friday she says as everything is 20% off and as these shoes are pricey the value of your feet as it's the foundation of it all is worth every penny. Thank you!

Difficult feet…read more.. That's me in a nutshell as the days of going bougie gets harder as my problematic feet that has gone though so many pain and torture and am always looking for that right shoe which can get pricey but thanks to places like Famous Footwear it's a great place to shop for the variety of options available by so many making it easy to try and decided along with friendly staff that can help you find sizes sometimes are available in the back or higher shelves the downside for me at this visit is majority of the stock was Nike aisle and aisle of Nike it was disappointing. Yes that's one of the reason I love shopping here is that you're at your own leisure to shop and explore the many various types and brands all at prices that's makes it hard to resist and what's better is that if you belong to their reward plan the savings can get quite amazing...I got Oofos for $35! Birthday rewards and just so easy to rack up points it's a full circle moment to take care of what gets us around and add some sparkle as well as it still looks bougie and comfy as well. Thank you!

Shopping in Kapolei, Oahu, Hawaii…read more.. I had a $10 Reward from Famous Footwear and decided to visit the Ka Makana Ali'i location. I followed Rachie P.'s directions - the store is located across from Old Navy, next to PINK. I wanted a pair of Oofos flip flops. I had seen my friend, Steven O. (not a Yelper), and he said he did the entire Honolulu Marathon with these flip flops because they are comfortable and supportive. They absorb shock well, are lightweight, washable, and let your feet expand and breathe throughout the day. It made sense. I found my size on the shelf in the neat, clean, well-lit store. I took the box to the cashier and she figured out my account and included the $10 discount... yay! I also looked at the Clearance area - nothing caught my attention at this time... haha! Thank you for a quick, painless experience!

Having Hukilau Marketplace is a welcomed addition with many eateries and boutique stores. This place is connected with the Polynesian Cultural Center. There's plenty of parking. This is a newer place (opened in 2015). It has a vintage, casual, outdoor marketplace vibe, but everything is clean, open, and spacious. There are many unique eateries and stores that you can only find here, such as Kiwi Style Fish and Chips, Sodabomb, Kiwi Korner meat pies, and etc. Hukilau Marketplace is defintely a very nice pit stop from your drive to refresh and grab a bite to eat.

I have neighbors who are also stalkers...but this middle-aged couple are home bound so they can't visit the North Shore...but they can live vicariously through my social media. I recommend this place....even to crazy "Karen" and her Daddi...who is 80% straight.

This is one of my favorite places to just window shop. They have really fun, coastal and local vibe home decor and lifestyle finds. I've eaten at Kono's although I am not primarily a pork person so I would not personally go back here. Some places to visit would be the Aloha General Store where you'll find Island-inspired gifts, clothing, home décor, shave ice, and souvenirs. Aloha Vintage Vibes is where you will find vintage Hawaiian apparel, retro finds, and unique gifts. Northshore Boardriders Club is where I found a really cute bracelet here that allows you to track your own sea life! You'll also find surf apparel, boards, accessories, and local North Shore merchandise. Polynesian Treasures is neat. You get to browse through Hawaiian-made gifts, wood carvings, jewelry, and island crafts. I Am Paradise is a Pearl Shop. You will find Hawaiian pearl jewelry and handcrafted pieces. I have not yet entered this establishment yet. I think I'm intimidated by the possible price point of real Hawaiian pearls. Silver Moon Emporium is where you can shop for Women's fashion, accessories, and boutique clothing. I wish there were more plus size options. Tini Manini, I haven't been to this one yet but you'll be able to find Children's clothing, toys, and gifts here. Waimea Blue North Shore Art Gallery is where you can shop for original local artwork, photography, and prints. There are also several dining options which include: Banzai Sushi Bar, Cholo's Homestyle Mexican, Kono's, Maya's Tapas & Wine, IL Gelato Cafe (Love this place!), and The Fixx Haleiwa. I have yet to try them all but even more reason to come back to take a trip over to the North Shore.
