porn star martini in front, spicy something in back. all good.
    Julia M.

Drinks are nice, they made me a pornstar martini that hit. The mozzarella rings were nice. Burger and fries were really good, get more than one for the table cause it's not great for splitting. The asian chicken salad was OK, you're probably better off getting the caesar. I think the pasta was a ragu, I don't really remember it. The cookie and milk is just as good as everyone says. Get dressed up, you're probably going to have a good time here.

Came here the other night for my daughter's birthday as it was a place she's been wanting to try and we came away happy with the service and the food. My daughter ordered the spaghetti and said the sauce was one of the best she's ever had. She also really liked her dirty Jean martini. I tried the 1987 chicken salad and it was plated nicely and was tasty. I asked the waitress to bring a dessert with a candle and she gladly complied. The chocolate chip cookie is enormous and the bourbon infused milk poured on top was quite interesting.

This is BJ's of New York (for those who don't know it's a chain like Cheesecake Factory). They got the pizookie, uninspired menu with mediocre execution and very slow service. Actually at BJs you'll get your food quicker. I got a seafood tower to share and steak frites as a main. For 65$ you get measly oysters a few shrimp and some salty fish..super underwhelming quality of seafood. And steak frites is doused in salt. That's all I tasted. Is the food old? Or does the chef have no taste buds? That's up for discussion. They were out of a few drinks and it took them an hour to serve an aperol spritz. Let's do them a favor and not pack the establishment so maybe the quality of the food/drinks will improve. At this price level I can get the best food in the city. Yet I spent it at this place. Regrets.. The only great thing about Jean's is their playlist. Keep in mind, they can only split the bill 3 ways if you come with a big group. SKIP.

Loved this bar! It was absolutely packed when we visited on a Thursday evening, but we grabbed a couple seats at the bar and were served quickly. I can't remember the name of the cocktail I ordered but it was citrusy and refreshing. The lighting was on point, which is something I always notice in a loungey bar. Would love to come back and try their food sometime!

NYE Early Dinner Set Menu - oyster

I came here on NYE and this is easily the worst dinning experience I've had in NYC since moving here 8 months ago. I came with a few girlfriends and we were one of the first few tables seated. The place is designed really beautifully, that was the best part. Our waiter was pretty nice and to start he took drink orders. Then we were brought an oyster which was nice and then bread which was absolutely incredible but we wish there had been more than one bun for each of us. We noticed the table of two next to us was served the same size portion as our table of five. Next they brought out a tuna tartare which was yummy and a good size. And finally we got the duck and shared veggies. And again the veggies to share were the same size as the table for two which resulted in about a half of a carrot and a few slices of cabbage each. The duck was tiny and mine had a large strip of fat down it. It was at this point we received our first round of drinks. After the rest of the dinning room had already gotten their's even though we were one of the first orders. The bartender wasn't even at the bar until we finished our second course. We also notice that our table seems to be one course behind, making both our food and drinks late. At this point they bring out dessert which was yummy and again a good size. Around this time we are finishing our first drink so we order a second to have after dessert. At this point we have been here for 2 hours and only just received our second drink. I will not be coming back and I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially if you start to take into account the prices.

The food was really good but the service was a little strange. It has an upscale vibe inside and there's a coat check when you walk in which is nice. It's white table cloth dining. It has a really nice open spacious feel and would be great for celebrations. Appetizers: -The lobster roll was decent but the cup of broth was rich in flavor and perhaps even better than the actual roll. -The scallops were fresh with a hint of extra flavor maybe it was a little citrus fruit on top but it added a dynamic flavor profile which was pleasant. -The shrimp cocktail was fine - I wouldn't get it as there many other more interesting things in the menu. -The arugula salad was light. -The bread and butter was also just okay - not worth getting. Mains: - French Dip (which they are known for) was pretty good but they sadly room the dish away that had the broth on it too soon we didn't get to dip. - The ravioli pasta thing we got with truffle was easily the star of the show! This was an absolutely phenomenal dish with heavy hearty flavors and a great texture. The truffle added no flavor though which is disappointing. You can skip that addition. - the pomodoro was pretty good. The pasta its self had a lovely chewy texture. The sauce is fresh and light. - the steak was a little disappointing... it was very chewy like to the point where I couldn't really eat it. Maybe the other pieces were better but mine were tough even though we got medium rare. Sides: - the seasonal vegetables were delicious and fresh but we didn't really know what they were lol - the carrots were good but nothing special Dessert: the bread pudding is probably the best bread pudding I've bed had. Like wow. Honestly a life changing bread pudding. The flavors were decadent and little soft raisins were perfect addition for texture. The cookie was fine, it has a lot of chocolate which I like but my friends like the cookie part more. The server had a slightly chaotic energy and kind of kept walking away when we were trying to add things to our order but then they sent a chocolate chip cookie over so that was nice. He just didn't let us finish talking at times. Also. I did lose my earring here and it was never found sadly. Overall, it was good experience but I'm not sure I'd recommend given how off put I was by the service and some of our food choices just didn't hit. My friend had been before and had a better experience the first time she was there.

Very sexy dinner vibes in here. Busy chatty ambiance great for dining out with groups and girlfriends. Downstairs was absolutely lovely and fun. Martinis are 10/10 and the signature cocktail Lichi Li was so yum. Will be back again for dinner & dancing.

We ate in the restaurant and the food was great! I loved the burger, steak and the cookie for dessert was incredible. The service at the table was good and then they took us downstairs which was a lot of fun.

jeans is such a chic spot with delish dishes. my favs were the french dip and bolognese. ceaser salad and pomodoro weren't memorable. loveddd the bread and our giant cookie dessert, it was the perfect size for the 6 of us. waiter also gave us free espresso martini shots for christina's birthday!! wanting to come back on the weekend when it gets dancey

Was invited to dinner here by a friend and came with a party of 4. Before our reservation, I had done some searching on the restaurant and saw it was a "scene-y" place to have dinner which normally deter me as I found based on my past experiences. This usually means the quality of food and/or service is sacrifice, but that was not the case of jeans. We were promptly seated for our 9 PM reservation and immediately began to peruse the menus. I had a wonderful Mezcal drink, and the rest of my ordered various cocktails as well. We then ordered the oysters, tuna carpaccio and beef tartare to start. While the size of the oysters was disappointing (so small!), the tuna and beef were incredible!! For our mains, we shared the Bistro Burger, one of the highlights of the restaurant, and the special of the day which was a pasta egg yolk dish. Both were absolute perfection. Having heard about the famous chocolate chip cookie dessert, our party was hoping to have ordered that, but we were informed they did not have it on the menu so instead we opted for their summer dessert option of a peach cobbler, which was so delicious. One of the better ones I've tried outside of the dining in the South. The restaurant has lots of music and plenty of young people talking with dark, ambient lighting. You'll come to realize many of these young people, the later you dine in the evening, are hoping to then enter the underground club below. I had the opportunity to go Myself, and although it was a Thursday evening, the party was just getting started. There was plenty of space, great lounge seating, as well as free water and endless funky disco. No one was using their phones, and the majority of the crowd was either socializing or on the dance floor, which was great to see. I would absolutely come back - to both the restaurant and the club!

It's very hard to write a negative review on a restaurant but sometimes it is absolutely important. This place is somewhat of a mix between a hillstone want to be and corner store want to be. There is an extremely high ratio of carbs to protein in all of the dishes I think for the $400 we spent we ate like a few grabs of protein. Would not recommend coming here. It feels like a total rip off. Also restaurant was totally empty. That being said, the hostess and person who sat us was very nice.

The ambiance feels straight of the golden age, which is an aesthetic I'm certainly a sucker for. Even their robust cocktail menu fits the bill and is one of the prettiest menus I've ever had the joy of perusing. Staff was able to sit us a little bit ahead of our reservation which was also much appreciated. Wait staff was also very helpful and attentive, I don't think I've ever had my water glass so topped off! Starting off with cocktails, this place is a gin bar through and through and you'd be making a mistake if you didn't try one of their many options. I went with the 10,000 words, which you simply just give a spirit of your choice (I picked gin of course) and whether you antes) wanted your drink shaken or stirred and the bartender does the rest, so a bit of a surprise! I wound up with their version of The Last Word which was delightfully citrusy but I was hoping I'd wind up with something a little more adventurous app things considered. My girlfriend got the blackberry G&T, which was not only very pleasing to look at but delicious to boot. For food, we started with splitting some zucchini blossoms and beef cheek bao buns (both come in portions of 3). Both were tasty, but I love a good bao bun and these were so light and pillowy, I could have just went for an order of those for my main course. For the entree I went for the roasted half chicken, perhaps the most unassuming choice on the menu but this was maybe the best roast chicken I've ever had. Prepared perfectly, cooked to perfection, excellent portion size, and the kicker of it all was the stunning gravy that I was tempted to lick my plate for. Chicken is very easy to screw up, and they nailed it on all fronts here. My girlfriend went for the Valerie Signature burger with white cheddar and this thing did not mess around! A very rich patty, cooked to her temperature of choice served alongside some garlic truffle fries that made an American classic feel just a little more elevated. Our experience was delightful and I'd love to comeback here again, especially to check out more of the cocktail menu and soak in more of that golden age aura the place gives.

Our friends raved about this place and we of course were excited (and a bit skeptical at first) to try it. The concept: no menu + no lights + a few questions = the ultimate cocktail experience. The speakeasy vibe and the dark ambiance really makes this place feel even more exclusive. With just a few tables and the bar setting, you're in for an experience you won't forget (unless you answer the wrong questions and really end up with a drink you don't like HA). This wasn't my case. Of course I described my two favorite things: Negroni + mezcal. The obvious answer would be a mezcal Negroni, but that's not why one comes to a place like Attaboy. Our amazing curator came by to ask us all a few questions, write down a few words in the napkins, and mix up the perfect drink that our master bartender crafts, curates and creates. My drink came as I couldn't possibly imagine. It looked like a Negroni smelled like Oaxaca, with all the smoke simmering up and preparing my sensory experience, leading to the best first sip.
