Everytime I walk out of John's Salon I am more than satisfied! Richard, a stylist at John's is an excellent beautician and professional employee. He straightens and styles to the latest in trends and fashion. Richard was able to grant my request of cutting my hair to look exactly like that of Gwenyth Paltrow's in a bridal magazine. As a professional, Richard is kind-hearted and humble. I highly recommend John's and getting your hair done by Richard. read more

I've been taking my mom here for years. She heard about this place through a friend and now she won't let anyone touch her hair but John. Great service, better results. John's story is interesting. Just ask him when you come in how he got his start in the business of Hair Styling. On a side note, he has great cooking tips too read more

Probably the most unprofessional salon I have ever visited. I booked a 9 am apt on a Saturday morning with Jean. I showed up on time and the staff asked me to take a seat. 10 minutes later a stylist approached me and told me that Jean was sick and unable to make my apt. If he wasn't there why did they tell me to take a seat and make me wait? Seriously, why would they waste my time? I gratefully left the shop. Not at all impressed with the dirty and shabby condition and felt like I had dodged a bullet! What a dog and pony show. read more

Omg...the best. Came from fresno to attend a wedding and found his services. Robert is the best. I have frizzy ratty hair and transformed it to a beautiful look. The experience shows. Anytime I come down here to so. Cal, I plan to rebook for his services. read more

I've trusted my hair to many hairstyist, but then found myself salon hoping over and over again. It all stopped here! I wouldn't think about leaving Robbie! He always seems to satisfy my thirst for change. Whether it's light hair with blonde highlights or changing teams and moving to the dark side for winter. Color? He's a true specialist. Pricing? That's not a problem either. Check him out. No regrets here. read more

Roberto is very knowledgeable in his field. He spoke to me on several angles of the chemistry of my hair ( how to make it look it's best and stay healthy). I appreciate the education so I can decide how I want my hair to look without damage. Thank you Roberto. Originally from Orange County, I have spend a year and a half looking for some one to take care of my brunette locks. You will be doing my hair for the next several years. read more

Went to get my cornrows re-done and they were excellent again. I asked for wavy rows instead of straight and Lenice delivered 100 percent. Love this place! read more

I've been meaning to write this review for a while now. Roberto is a great stylist who listens and is able to execute what I want. The cut also looks great through the 3-4 month grow out period. Cute salon with parking available! If you need any more of an endorsement, I drove from Santa Monica to Pasadena (about 30 miles) for a haircut with this guy! Why? Because, he GETS IT. read more

This salon is fantastic! The Father (John) and the Son (Roberto) are both terrific. I can go to either of them and get my hair whipp'd. Their blow dryering skills are the best that I have ever seen and the fastest. You will out of their in no time at all. This is the only salon that have perfected stying white and black hair. Give them a try and you will be hooked! read more

John has been my hairdresser for several years and he is EXCELLENT! Whenever I have requested different styles or colors or highlights he does it perfectly. I sometimes bring in a photo of what I want and he makes it happen!! I have referred many people here, including my daughter who now will not let anyone else cut her hair! Thanks John!!! read more

This man can do hair! I came to him years ago when my hair had been damaged by relaxers and colors (a foolish stylist put both on at the same time), and he brought my hair back to life. He is professional and values my time. I like the "drama-free" atomosphere. It is a very relaxing place to go. I see John, but all the stylists are fantastic. read more

Robbie has been doing my hair for over 8 years and he still manages to surprise me. Every great style makes my hair look amazing. I have had everything done from color, cut, highlights and Brazilian Blowout, oh and his blow-drying skills are amazing! When you do not know what to do with your hair...Robbie does! Definitely recommend this salon. read more

I've been going to Robbie at Jean Robert Salon for over 5 years now. He is seriously AMAZING. I was referred to him by my cousin, and until this very day, I tell her how much I appreciate the introduction. My hair couldn't be happier. I went to Robbie before my wedding because I KNEW he would make the color/highlights exceptional, and of course, he did. I took a break from highlights after getting married in an attempt to save some cash (being a newlywed), but after a few at-home highlight sessions, I quickly realized I needed Robbie, and his magic hands, badly!!!! And another thing, Robbie is like the brother I never had-- every time I see him, it's like we never took a break. He's so cool, down-to-earth, and friendly, and SO good at his job. I seriously cannot recommend him enough. He also has a salon in Beverly Hills, but I've always made appointments with him at his Pasadena location. If you want amazing hair that gets complimented literally every day, the go to this salon. Robbie will probably end up being your very best friend. lol He also turned the outdoor area into a really cool looking lounge. He has a small covered patio area with couches where you can relax while you wait for your hair to finish up. I always feel so at home when I go to see Robbie. I really look forward to my appointments. He greets me with a super warm smile, and alwayssss gives me the BEST coffee!! Get your hair done here, you won't regret it. Just show him a picture of what you want, and you'll get it. He's also attending an academy now to learn how to style (updos), so I'm literally going to go to him for everything. Love this salon!!!!!!!! read more

I've been coming to this salon for years and have never been disappointed whether it's a hair cut, blow dry or color. I recently wanted to do a colorful ombré and am beyond satisfied and happy with the results. He did exactly what I wanted and exceeded my expectation. Roby uses the best products that give optimal results with vibrant long lasting colors. He truly is an expert and specialist at what he does. I highly recommend him to anyone. read more

Robbie does beautiful work on people of all ages and hair types. Great sense of style. Top notch and prices reasonable for the quality. Other family members have been going to him for years and now I will, too. read more

Robert is amazing, he's genuine, professional, fun, and a great great communicator. He listened to my poor explanations of how I wanted my hair colored, and it turned out to be the best experience I've had at a hair salon. I tend to hesitate to ask stylists to fix or change when color doesn't come out as I expected, Robert told me not to and that his job is to have his clients leave the salon happy and satisfied. We decided to put one more layer on to fix what I didn't like. And boom! I can't remember the last time I was this much happy with how my color turned out, for the whole time, it was a fun experience and I'm so glad that I went to him :) He also served me a cup of coffee and sweets, they tasted really good!! Thank you Robert :)! read more

Robbie works magic with hair, and has saved mine multiple times (mainly because I try to cut corners by cutting my own hair or skipping touch-up coloring). He is the only stylist I truly trust with my hair (thick and dark). He gives honest advice, and doesn't try to push anything he doesn't think is necessary. He has a gifted eye, and has worked for 10+ years in the high-demand Beverly Hills scene before coming back home in Pasadena. He's always fun, honest (especially with advice and pricing), and a PRO. read more

Richard has been my stylist for a couple years now and my hair has never been so healthy! He is amazing! From his personality to his style to his skills, he is more than I could ask for in a hair stylist! I completely trust his judgement on anything, whether it be a conditioning treatment or a cut or a style. Although I am not familiar with this salon, I AND my mother, who became his client as well:), will be there this Saturday & would reccomend this salon for the simple fact that Richard is one of their hair stylists!! read more

This was exactly what I was looking for! I'm so happy with the way my hair turned out and the service was amazing. I've had problems in the past with other salons that thought they could tame my hair but they could never get it right. I received a keratin treatment that made my hair look and feel 100% healthier. My new stylist name is Roberto, he's amazing! Im hooked, not to mention the fact that he's HOT. read more

I would not recommend this salon, we had a wedding on Feb.8th and my daughter had her hair done there and her hair looked like she didn't do anything with it, and was charged $45. So many people asked why she didn't have her hair done, that is embarrassing all she wanted to do was go home! now tell me is this a salon that rips off people with crappy hair she was better off going to a super cut or something maybe they would have done a better job.. Never again to this salon read more

Professional, personable and knows how to do hair . When looking for a stylist those are the three qualities I think are most important and what every one should look for in a stylist. Richard at John's Hair Salon has these qualities and more. I happened upon Richard a few months ago when looking for a new stylist after my long time stylist moved to Atlanta. From the first time I had my hair done by Richard he made me feel comfortable and had he me cracking up the whole time (he's too funny), but most importantly he did an excellent job on my hair . I can't imagine anyone else doing my hair. He has already done everything from a regular press and curl to a full curly weave and each 'do look amazing. All my friends were complimenting me on how good my hair looked. What I also loved about Richard is he doesn't take a long time; you are out much sooner than expected. I definitely would recommend Richard to anyone who needs an excellent hair stylist. read more
