I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Dave's Heating & Cooling. My home warranty…read morecompany originally sent them out to inspect my furnace after I had been without heat for several days. I was cold, stressed, and honestly at my limit -- but from the moment I called, everything changed. I spoke with DJ, the regional supervisor, early Tuesday morning. He was polite, courteous, and incredibly professional. He scheduled a same‑day visit and clearly explained what he would be doing during the service call, as well as what to expect from my warranty company if the repair exceeded the pre‑authorized amount or required a full replacement. His knowledge and experience were obvious -- he anticipated every question I had before I even asked it. DJ arrived exactly within the service window he provided. He respected my home by wearing shoe covers and walked me through each step of his inspection and diagnostics. I felt completely at ease and confident in his expertise. After reviewing the furnace, DJ provided a repair quote but also explained, very honestly, that my unit was beyond its life expectancy and that adding new parts might not fully resolve the issue. He asked if I'd like a replacement quote as well. I shared that replacing both the furnace and AC wasn't financially realistic for me right now, even though I knew it would save money long‑term. DJ simply said, "Let me write up the quote." Before showing it to me, he asked what I expected the cost to be. His actual quote was half of what I anticipated. I was shocked -- in the best way. Throughout the day, I called DJ multiple times with follow‑up questions. Each time, he remained patient, professional, and genuinely helpful. My final call was after 6 PM, when I decided to move forward with the replacement. Despite it being after business hours, DJ's commitment to service didn't stop. He returned to my home around 7:30 PM with a full crew, and they got right to work. What should have been a six‑hour job was completed in four. They restored not only the warmth in my home, but also my faith in good people and reputable businesses that truly put customers first. I am deeply grateful for DJ and the entire team who came out. Their professionalism, integrity, and compassion turned a stressful situation into a genuinely positive experience. I highly recommend Dave's Heating & Cooling for any HVAC repair or replacement needs. They have absolutely earned my trust and my highest recommendation. My review is being shared on multiple platforms because this level of service deserves to be recognized!

- HVAC heroes in a heatwave!…read more If you're reading this while melting in your living room like a human candle, stop scrolling and call Justin and his son. Right. Now. These guys are the real deal--honest, kind, and absolute pros. They've been out to rescue my central air twice this summer (yes, I'm that person). One of those times? The hottest day of the year. Like, surface-of-the-sun hot. I was fully prepared to sleep in my fridge, but Justin and his son made every effort to get to me that same day--and they did! Crisis averted. Sanity restored. Sweat glands silenced. Their quality of work is top-notch, and while their rates are affordable, don't mistake that for cheap. As I always say: "Cheap work ain't good and good work ain't cheap." (But luckily, these guys manage to strike the magical sweet spot.) I genuinely trust them, which is rare in the home repair world. So yes, I'd recommend them to literally anyone who needs HVAC help. Hot mess? Cold house? Call Justin. Thank me later.

He came out for a consult - checked the freon pressure and gave some options about going forward - the one he suggested since there was some cooling coming to evaluate things ongoing. He also checked the freon on a old AC unit which had been sitting for years in case it had any of the R-22 freon. When I asked what charge there was for the call - he indicated none. Sadly the AC performance has been very marginal so I'm going to see about one of the other options he mentioned. I appreciate that he was not trying to sell me anything but tried to come up with a solution which would be best for us.

I wanted to share my experience with Ahrens & Condill HVAC company and specifically with Scott,…read moresince he was my primary contact. I contacted them and talked to Scott about the heat issue in my apartment. I knew exactly what needed to be done, as the maintenance person from my building had already inspected it and told me exactly what repairs need to take place. In my phone conversation with Scott, I explained everything to him in details and sent him pictures. He mentioned that he would still need to come out to inspect my unit before repairs could take place. When I asked him, sure, but could you please do the repair in one visit. He said no, justifying it that that's how it is usually done and I will need to pay $140 just for the first visit. I agreed to it. When he came in he literally spent 10 min at my place because, again, I had told him what needed to be done from the beginning and even sent him what he needed to bring with him. So I literally paid $140 for nothing. We then agreed that he will order necessary parts for the repair and will send his guys to do it. When I asked how much it would cost - he said that it's $150 per hour. So it solely depends on the time it takes to finish the job. I said ok and agreed to it. A week later Scott texted me saying that he received all necessary parts and ready to schedule repair visit. He also added that this work will cost $825. I was shocked with the cost and asked him how did he even come up with this number, since he told me that final cost solely depended on time duration and they only charge per hour, which is $150 per hour. He said that the material is part of the cost. I know for a fact that the material is no more than $100, so I asked him how much is the material. He didn't even bother explaining it and just said that his company works on flat rate pricing and they don't break it down per part and labor. Which was a complete lie and scam because initially he stated that they only charge per hour and that's how final cost gets calculated. Basically he wanted me to pay $826 + $140 (which I had already paid) = $966 for something that should not take more than 1-2 hours and should be around $300-$400 with labor and material. I am being completely transparent about my experience with them and particularly with Scott. Because I want to ensure that no one else gets fooled by them and spend money for nothing. I am also attaching my conversation with Scott in text messages for full transparency. Stay away from this company and from Scott in particular They just want to fool you and overcharge you for nothing. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable in this day and age.

I'm a customer for life! During the summer, when my A/C started acting up, I gave Micah a call and he came right out. Micah was back on the job and had a stop-gap in place while he waited for new parts to come in. He was prompt, helpful, and responded quickly. He made sure we were not without A/C during some of the hottest weeks of the summer (not an exaggeration). Since this issue I had them inspect my furnace just before winter.
