I really appreciate James for showing up the same day that I reached out for help on Yelp. He responded within minutes and came by my house after his doctor appointment. I already knew what was the issue with the AC as the previous AC company who works only for home warranty companies, came out 3 times and only did a band-aid job that lasted only 2 weeks. I knew it was out of freon because the AC was leaking freon. James was able to schedule for an early morning appointment to repair the leak the following day. He put in more freon in the meantime so my house will have air conditioning until they can repair it. The next morning, Chris and his crew showed up as promised, first thing in the morning and fixed the leak. I will definitely use Richmond's Air again in the future, but for now, hopefully this leak repair will last me for a few years before having to call for service again. Hopefully my next call to Richmond's Air will be a yearly maintenance type of deal and not to fix a leak! I definitely recommend this company. As a PSA, please, please, please STAY AWAY from home warranty service companies! If you must purchase one, stay away from Fidelity National. I won't mention the name of the HVAC company Fidelity National sent to fix my AC and then denied my claim and I had to pay over $1300 out of pocket for a band-aid fix that lasted only 2 weeks!

Kudos to another job well done. Bottom line - Great crew, on-time service, and fair pricing. You don't need to look any further than Richmond Air for all your HVAC needs. Thank you, James!!

When they arrived they were focused on trying to evaluate my air conditioning system rather than focus on the quote I requested. When the salesman realized he wasn't going to get any upsell wiggle room, he told me they don't do blown in insulation for less than three grand. This is more than every other company that offered quotes by as much as 50%. I would avoid based on the 'sales first' pushiness of the company. They are less interested in providing value to customers than pushing their sales. A company needs jobs to be profitable, but this is something else entirely.

My husband and I had to plan on replacing our unit, and after receiving a quote or two, I called…read moreMadd Air to see what their rates would be. Heather patiently answered as many of my questions as she could, and Charlie (the owner) spent over an hour explaining the ins and outs of units. What I appreciated most was he didn't talk to me like I was dumb or try to oversell me - I felt like I was talking to someone who could best explain the needs for my house. Justin came by the following day and gave us several quotes on various units. He didn't try selling the most-expensive unit (or even the step up from what we're getting). He also explained the ductwork and why the construction would be as extensive as planned. Our ducts are original to our 1970s house, and there are all kinds of holes that are beyond repair. Between the time we scheduled our unit install and the actual date (8 days from now ), Madd Air has handled any issues we've had to ensure we are comfortable. Our unit ran out of coolant and needed to be charged, and Justin added enough to hold us over. Their prices are right in line with the market, and in my opinion, they do far more than what other companies with the same quote can offer. We are customers for life and have referred friends and family to give Madd Air a try.

Jack came out, looked everything over, and was here maybe 10 minutes. There was no sales pitch or pressure--just a straightforward quote for a Trane unit. We appreciated the honesty and simplicity. The very next day, the installation crew arrived and had everything completed in about six hours. Later that afternoon, while I was cooking dinner, Trung (the owner) called and said he was outside. He wanted to personally inspect the installation before the job was considered finished. He thoroughly checked the crew's work, and you just don't see that level of customer service anymore. To top it off, KAC Express was less expensive than the other two companies that gave us estimates. Great price, quality equipment, fast installation, and outstanding customer service. If I could give KAC Express 10 stars, I absolutely would! Highly recommend them.

It's not often you find someone who is responsive, punctual, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. If you're looking for an HVAC company that genuinely cares about its customers, I highly recommend KAC Express and Trung.

Bad business practice. I previously used this company when they were called Elite Comfort and gave…read morethem a great review. However, that's not the case with this new company, Air Tech. While the technician was professional, the estimate they gave was outrageous. The technician said I needed a new evaporator coil. If you look online, you'd be hard-pressed to find one for more than $1,000. He mentioned it would take two technicians and six hours to complete the job. Even if we assume the technicians charge $100 per hour (which is a stretch), that brings the labor cost to $1,200, and the total so far to $2,200. Let's add a 50% markup for the company, which brings the total to $3,300. That's still high, but they quoted me $4,980! Obviously, I shopped around and found a much more reasonable estimate--nearly 50% less from a reputable company. The bad business practice here is charging nearly $100 for the diagnostic, knowing the estimate was outrageous. You could literally build a business around giving inflated estimates with the sole intention of collecting diagnostic fees.

It was a really young crew which i loved to see because we desperately need people in trades. They all were well versed in everything they were doing, knowledgeable, and had a hell of a lot of hustle. Accidents happen, and I get it. I blame the company, its safety protocols, and the complete lack of response to my continued requests of a quality check (which i'm now getting after a week and the system is unbalanced b/c no dampers were installed)and a phone call from someone in mgmt to discuss my concerns...But also, I think Alpine Investments (private equity) is now the owner of Apex Solutions, which i believe jointly owns Air Tech with an individual in houston. I'm writing regarding my experience with your company which was assigned to my service request sent through AHS. The lack of meaningful communication and follow up was unacceptable. Calling the phone number is a joke because they never answer and want to have text conversations instead. By the time the repairs were completed, it had been a full two weeks of this house not having any AC. Have you ever had to sit in a hot house for two weeks without AC? I hope not. Things that bothered me about your service: 1. Why do you list a phone number on the website and no one ever answers the phone? They only respond to you via text. To me that screams, "we do not want to be bothered with talking to you" 2. If there were issues with your systems communicating with the home warranty company, the right thing to do would have been to explain that issue to me. I only heard about this issue from the AHS representative. 3. Do you actually have a "management team" that addresses customer concerns? No one ever reached out to me even when I specifically asked someone to call me. 4. Why do you not have a process for the person responding via text to obtain real time information that can be communicated to the customer? Every response was I don't have visibility to that, I will escalate, I have noted , etc. 5. If parts needed to be ordered, why wasn't that information shared with me as the customer in order to manage expectations and establish a realistic timeline for repairs. I did not have an issue with the technicians who came to the house. However, given this ridiculous experience that I just endured, I would never recommend your company to anyone. I hope you have someone who will actually read this and address these issues.
