I called Madd Air to get a service call on my air conditioner. I was referred to Madd by my son who has used them for a few years now. Joseph was the service tech that came to my home and evaluated our unit. He found that the unit was in need of several pounds of refrigerant and because of the expense and age of our heating and ac unit he recommended we consider replacing them. He went to his truck and came back with a list of replacement options, explained them and did not pressure us to select the most expensive options. I contacted two other companies to get quotes for a new system and found Madd to be the most competitive. I called Joseph with my decision and he was able to set up installation two days later. Joseph called in advance of his crew arriving and accompanied them in the beginning of the installation. The crew was courteous and knowledgeable in doing their job. They cleaned up everything and did a fine job of installation. These guys are first class!! Been meaning to write this review since July, 2018 when they replaced my evaporated coil. Justin gave me options with no hard-sell on replacing the entire system vs just the coil (our system is now 13yrs old), very reasonable pricing (I got 3 bids). They re-routed some of my duct work to get more air flow to rooms that needed it...and they came back 5 or so days after (at no cost) to fine tune the air flow where needed. I HAD to write this review today, because the morning of THE 4TH OF JULY, the blower failed in the primary component. I called the MADD AIR main number, and spoke to a PERSON. She called Charlie (the owner), and he called me within 30 minutes...on a holiday! He again walked me through the options, and said he'd be there tomorrow, July 5th to fix it...and he did. The cost to replace the component or to replace the part (the blower) were miles apart. These guys are honest, punctual, very reasonable on price, and they do what they say they're going to do! Absolutely great service!!! If you're looking for an honest a/c company, then look no further. We called them out since our house didn't seem to be cooling. However, this is later in the afternoon of a Texas summer when the back of our house where the unit is located faces the hot West sun. We probably should have taken this into account... Anyway, Charlie stopped by earlier than expected and took a look at our unit. He let us know that, except for the fact that our unit was 14 years old and dirty, there was actually nothing wrong with it. He showed my husband what he needed to do to clean it in order to improve cooling in the afternoon. He didn't even charge us anything!!!! Amazing! And the poor guy got stung by wasps that had nested in the unit. We won't hesitate to call Madd Air Heating and Cooling in the future for anything we may need. Sam Sharp and his team at MADD Air were recommended to me by one of their customers. I reached out to them via their website and got a response within an hour. and better yet, they were able to come to the house and check out the problem the next day. It took me a few days to decide how to approach the problem. But I made the decision to follow their advice and they scheduled me for the following day. Again, very prompt. But even better still was the value that I received for the job. They gave me a firm price and they did not exceed it. In fact, they offered two discounts depending on my payment preference. The people at Madd Air truly go above and beyond. When everyone else told me they would not be able to get out to me for a few days, Madd Air came out that very day. Sam was very helpful and Brittany was incredibly kind. They worked quickly to resolve my issue so that my boys and I could relax as comfortably as possible while being quarantined. Some tears back during the Memorial Day flood, my boys and I were stranded in the Madd Air parking lot. The water kept rising and my boys were so scared. The people of Madd Air invited us in, gave my boys snacks and water, and even took us home in one of their big trucks. This business truly is family oriented in every possible way. Charlie came by and after inspection of our old unit gave us several units that would work. Explained all the pluses and minuses of each. We made our choice and within a couple of days had the new air and heating unit installed. Upon inspection of installation of the new unit it was determined we needed new duct work as well so that was installed also. They did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. Unit works great and we are as cold as we want it to be. That is a first after 35 years in this house we can actually make it COLD in here if we want to. Madd Air was AWESOME! We would ABSOLUTELY use them again as well as recommend them to friends and neighbors!! Charlie came by after 7pm at night, waiting for a rain storm to pass. From the moment he walked in he was polite, professional and respectful. He took his shoes off because it had been raining so he wouldn't mess up our floors (even his usual booties would have been wet, so he went sock-foot into our attic!) He won me over right there, but there's more! There is no trip charge, no after-hours charge and free estimate!!! We have used Madd Air for our spring and fall services for several years now and I am absolutely certain they have helped us prolong the life of our VERY old A/C. I know with a lot of things you get what you pay for, but with Madd air we have always gotten much more. They always have the best prices, do excellent work and aren't pushy about selling a new unit. The same guys have been with them for a long time so I know they must treat their employees well too. I called Madd Air because water was leaking into my secondary pan on my unit. Initially it was thought to be clogged primary drain lines which is pretty common. After clearing out all of the drain lines and a couple of days of troubleshooting, they found that a vaccum was created by my evaporator that wouldn't allow the system to drain properly. The problem was fixed and I haven't had an issue since. The professionalism was spot on and I was extremely pleased with the price. Charlie and the Madd Air crew are awesome!!! Our AC went out on the eve of the 4th. I thought great timing for the unit to fail. Even worst getting someone out to look at it. To my surprise I was able to find someone from Madd Air. Brittany who answered was very courteous, despite it being 9a on a holiday weekend. She worked a miracle and got us in, at last minute. However, the real hero was a young man name Justin. I was given a window of 10-1, which I was very happy to take. Again, my surprise he arrived right at 10a and completed the job in about 20 minutes, which included going in the attic. If I could give them more stars I would!! These guys are just amazing. They replaced our upstairs unit last year and our downstairs unit about a week ago. They are always on time and have great communication between the office staff and the guys on the road. We had a couple of little issues after this last install. It was 9pm on a Sunday night and Justin dropped everything and headed right over to get us fixed up....pretty impressive for Labor Day weekend as well! We have used Madd air for years because they are always dependable and professional. Recently we had to replace the old unit in our old house and had the insulation upgraded. They made sure everything was brought up to code. There was a smell that was coming from the vents after the upgrades. They made several trips to troubleshoot the problem and found a solution to get rid of the smell even though the smell was not related to the work they had done. After calling two other companies made appointment and they did not show up or call. I call Madd Air, and told them my air conditioner would not cool. I have COPD, am 73 years old. She said they would try to work me in that day, for sure would be at my home between 1 & 4 the next day. They came the next day and fixed my unit and check everything out. I am so appreciative of the work from this company. I called them as a second opinion for some incredibly expensive repairs that another company told me I needed. The Madd Air technician went in and found the issue of a damper not opened and did what needed to be done to get it to open.
