This company has turned into a complete scam. Ever since the freeze this company has decided to increase their prices 60 to 70%. When one of their plumbers comes to your house, all they try to do is upsell you and give you things you do not need. If you just have a valve that needs to be changed or a toilet that might be clogged, they immediately tell you that they will probably have replace the whole pipe to the valve and replace your toilet. I suggest everybody to pass on this company, there are many other plumbers in the Houston/Spring area that are fair and not greedy. The ownership of this company should truly be embarrassed in which the way they try to drain people's wallets to the best of their ability by giving them things they don't need, and by making jobs more complicated than they actually are (at a jacked up rate) so the customer has to spend more money.The increase of this company's prices is not due to shortages or supply chains, it is strictly a matter of greed and seeing how much they can get from each customer. I can't say enough great things about JD Precision Plumbing! In particular Sean our technician. We just bought a 24 year old house that had very brittle pipes. Any little thing broke them right off! Since it is a "new" home for us, we first fooled around with the home warranty company. We had to use their plumber & had to deal with 2 weeks worth of headache back & forth until we finally decided to pay for the repairs out of pocket. When our next plumbing catastrophe happened, we yelped & found JD Precision Plumbing. From the very first time I called, the staff on the phone were friendly & sympathetic to our issue. Within a few hours, our technician Sean came. He was courteous, friendly & knowledgeable. Very Expensive for the value. Quote was $425 and plumber finished job in under 2 hours. Very little material was required so the hourly rate was over $200. When I accepted the proposal, thought the bid was reasonable but I feel plumbing can be done at a profit for about half that rate. These guys are the worst. They charged $580 to connect a garbage disposal, kitchen facet and make a drain. About 2hrs of work and no materials. They were aware I had a quote from another plumber for $450 but wouldn't quote in advance. They said they would be reasonable but then they go out to the house with a renter who obviously is impatient to have kitchen water reconnected after a counter replacement and charge $130 more knowing that they had me over a barrel. They also offered to install a new disposal for $500! Absolutely unethical and overpriced. Go anywhere else! read more

They were very nice, polite and professional and they arrived when they said they would. They quoted me a total install price of $1250 for a water heater with a 6 year warranty (which is on the low end warranty wise). They said there would no issues at all because of the easy access. I asked for a labor and parts breakdown and they said it was a flat rate. The water heater and parts are less than $500 from Home Depot, so the install is $800 for a 3 hour job? Our hot water heater failed on Christmas day and called them the next morning. Jeff came out that morning and quickly diagnosed the problem as a faulty gas control valve. Due to the holiday the part was not available until the next day but Jeff picked it up installed it and we had hot water that morning. Very honest and reliable. We had a large clog somewhere in our line and another plumbing service left us underwhelmed when the only spent 5 minutes trying to snake it. I called JD precision plumbing and they said they would arrive shortly and we got a courtesy call when Taylor was twenty minutes away. He spent a good hour trying to snake the pipes, but it turned out we just needed to have our septic tank emptied. I would vouch for these guys to the moon and back as they did a PHENOMENAL job rerouting the main water inlet piping of my home to bring an outside water softener indoors, replacing two old rusting water heaters in my attic with a tankless model, replacing rusting/unreliable shutoff valves and installing a whole house water filtration system. Sean and Eric were professional, courteous and clean workers. Additionally, they coordinated extremely well with the other contractors onsite at the time and were just plain fun to work with on a fairly large job. I will also note that I evaluated multiple plumbers leading up to my decision to select JD's for this job. A couple of them were clearly nervous about the scope of what I wanted to do and tried to lead me down the cheaper/less reliable path taken by the previous homeowners. I really did not know what to expect when I went to Home Advisors to seek a plumber. It turned out to be the best move I could make. Ben, the plumber that came out to give me an estimate to have an ice maker water line repaired or replaced pointed out which way was the best to go. Like the first plumber that came out he went up into the attic to examine the problem. He took his time explaining the differences to us to help us make the right decision. The first plumber from Roto Rooter seem uninterested in doing the job and gave us an outrageous estimate to do a lot more than was required.. Ben was very professional and courteous.as well as very friendly, honest and did not try to pressure us into doing more than the job required. Also JD responded to my request for an estimate in a reasonable amount of time. Most other plumbers never bothered to call me to set up an appointment. This is the first time we have used JD Precision Plumbing. Our first impression of the company was the professionalism and politeness of their receptionist. The second impression was how organized the company is. They sent a short introductory bio of the plumber they were sending to handle our problem. They gave an ETA of their service tech and said he would call at least 15 minutes before arriving, which he did. A female office worker called me to make an appointment due to tankless water heater - that was my first error - Do not replace your water heater with a tankless -As far as their service will price gauge you for every penny. Paid for the service plan which is just a service plan but I did not realize you are paying for service in advance. Which mean they are making interest on your money and thus charging you half 175.00 for 2018 and then 175 for 2019. Not as all a plan just a big ripoff. The way I explained I was paying for the service price for this year and locking in the price for the upcoming service price. Not so. BIG RIP OFF! STAY AWAY FROM THEM! The service plan is just a plan, it does not pay for anything. The plumber shows up at your door, he will automatically show you the fee 175.00. Personally, he did nothing to my unit and did not flush the tankless water heater at all. The FIRST time it was done the plumber connected a hose from the tankless unit to the bathroom drain. But this plumber just took a bucket and place it in my attic and walked around the house looking at facets. BIG FUCKING DEAL - DO NOT SEND YOUR PLUMBERS TO MY HOME AGAIN - AS A MATTER OF FACT, DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT CALLING ME! And that's my final answer! read more

They were recommended to me by my networking group. I scheduled a technician to repair several problems on one of my rental properties. I spoke to David about the fees. He said he would work me a deal because of the amount of business that I would like to have them perform for my company. David is their manager. He was not very willing to help out and seemed very short. Their technician came out and perform the services but did not perform the one item that I need repaired the most, a leak. I contacted the original plumber that did the original remodeling and he came out and fixed the leak. I had the same technician from JD plumbing come out and verify that the leak was done. He sent me a bill for $175 for after hours. This was a regularly scheduled visit. After speaking to David, he said that if I don't pay the $175 he would put a lien on The rental property. He also said he would not be doing business with me again. This is a company that I would not recommend. They overcharge and come up with lame excuses to why they have to charge you that much. i called this company to come out and give me a quote. they showed up and i was satisfied with the quote but it went downhill fast from there. it went to garbage from there. i called them and set up a time for them to come fix my problem. they scheduled me for friday from 3 until 6. well it got to be 530 so i called to see if they were coming, and the lady informed me it was for monday. i said no i was told friday, she looked at it again and realized it was written down wrong, but said she would call adam to try to come . she calls back to inform me that he said no until he got the ok from water restoration people. i told her it was all cleaned up and drying. Needless to say i canceled them, they apparently don't know what communication is. i would suggest you don't waste your time with these people. i lost an afternoon of work because of them and all she could say was i don't know what we did wrong read more

Jeff was dogged as the problem turned out to be bigger than originally thought. I did have to pay more than the original estimate but it was a reasonable amount. Everything was resolved to my satisfaction. Fast forward a couple weeks and there is water pooled around the toilet, baseboards are wet as is slab outside. Today the 2nd tech with Precision said he would need to replace some bolts. After his 3rd trip inside as he began repair he noticed the tank had a hairline crack-- likely the cause of the pooled water. He called his manager who told me Precision's 90 day warranty applied only to the original problem (clogged toilet). So the fact that the first tech likely cracked the tank when he temporarily removed the toilet to fix the clog wouldn't be covered under the 90 day warranty. The manager said his repair people wouldn't have caused a crack and not spoken up about it, ergo I must've somehow cracked it in the past couple of weeks. Plus per the manager the tank was old--is 5 years OLD? After much objection on my part Precision replaced the toilet with a cheap model; they will not warranty this work and I am left with wet baseboards. read more

Precision Plumbing was hired to extend a new interior gas line to our home's kitchen cooktop area in order to replace the original electric cooktop with a gas one. This entailed installing a new gas line in the ceiling above the adjoining room, running it behind the cooktop area and joining it to the existing "black pipe" gas line in the attic. A section of the ceiling above which the new line was to be run had to be cut out to allow access to the rafters, each of which needed to have a hole drilled through it to run the flexible pipe through. There was no space above or below the rafters to run that flexible pipe. Ron arrived at the agreed time on a Monday morning, but since the estimate (completed about 2 months prior by him) did not include specific information about the project, he first needed to re-acquaint himself with the project. He then left to get the needed supplies and a helper. On their return, they began to cut out a +/- 6" wide piece of the ceiling about 15' in length to gain access to the existing gas line and to the back of the cooktop area. This "gash" was not cut in a straight line but was bowed making it more difficult for my sheet rock installer/painted to later replace the material removed. I was not advised in advance that the cut would not be in a straight line. By late afternoon, Ron and his helper had installed the new flexible pipe, but because it was so difficult to run through the holes in the rafters (the holes were not well aligned, nor was any kind of lubricant used on the line to ease it through the holes), they could not complete the connection that day. This left us without the use of the hot water heater because the gas line to the heater had to be replaced to install the new line and the new line was open. While they tried to keep the debris in the work area under the ceiling to a minimum, they did try to clean it up before leaving. They were not working in new construction; they were working in an occupied home and the wood floor took me some effort to clean. The next day (Tuesday), both returned and completed the connection, checked for gas leaks and turned the gas back on. Later, I determined they had left before re-lighting the gas water heater. I called for Ron to return which he did later that day. He also told me the oder of gas would dissipate by the following day. Wednesday, morning we did not smell the gas before we left home. However, several hours later, my contractor told me he could smell it. I called Precision back to tell them we needed Ron to return on Thursday to check the connections. Thursday morning, I could not initially detect any oder, and so cancelled the request for Ron to return. However, 2 hours later the smell of gas in the house was very noticeable and I called Precision to again request Ron to return soon as possible. I was told by Precision then to also contact our gas supplier. I did that and CenterPoint Energy had a technician at the house in about 30 minutes. He used both an electronic device and soapy water to determine there were, in fact, 2 significant gas leaks, one in the new line and a second at the connection to the cooktop. According to their procedure, he then turned off the gas to the house and disabled the gas meter until repairs could be made. I then called Precision to inform them of this and spoke with the manager who expressed his concern over the phone as Centerpoint had determined the leaks were likely coming from threaded joints that did not have plumbers tape applied like many other threaded connections did. He called back soon after to tell me Ron was finishing a job and would be at my home in about an hour. Ron returned (for the second time) and appeared upset that Centerpoint had turned off the gas supply. He then had to pressurize the gas line to detect the leaks. About an hour later, he had replaced one connection (which he admitted he had not returned to check after his helper had said it was not leaking on Tuesday) and worked on the second. I presume his pressure test showed no leaks at that point. I called Centerpoint to return to turn the gas back on. Centerpoint was on site very quickly (it was now after 5PM) and reconnected the gas supply at the meter. One location that had been leaking was now secure, however, the second under the cooktop was still leaking! For a moment, it seemed he would have to cut off the gas again, but he opted to tighten the connection himself and the leak stopped as determined by both electronic device and soapy water. Ron had not sufficiently stopped the second leak. I have not yet (3 days later) had a call from the company to ask if we had smelled any more gas, or to apologize for the inconvenience and possible dangerous situation Precision had placed us in. Bottom line is that we do now have a working gas cooktop (that Ron connected for us) and there is no oder of gas in the house. read more

They installed a tankless hot water heater for us. We were promised the old tank would be removed but when the time came we were told it would create too large a "mess" for them to do so. Now, the old tank just sits in the attic. I am certain when we sell the house I will have to pay to have someone come in and remove it. Very disappointing. read more

Had a leak in bathroom that was a slow leak, Insurance company told me to call a plumber and he was at my home in about an hour, minimal service call, carefully pulled back wallpaper not to tear it and opened up the wall so it could be repaired. I received no call back. I waited until Tuesday morning and tried calling to make sure they were coming out. After 8 try's and no call back I gave up.
