Totally happy with Donna in the home goods department. She was very helpful. I'll be back for her input. She had some great recommendations. Super friendly! read more

I like this store. It's always clean & tidy. The staff are friendly & helpful. They are always available to answer questions & some go out of their way to be helpful, like calling around the other stores for my particular preference if I wanted something they didn't have. Sure, I know it's their job to do that but their attitude is key here. Whenever possible I prefer to shop local. The Rancho store seems much larger but why go there when I'm happy here? read more

Horrible customer service at the Jewelry Department on Black Friday..... 3 clerks for 4 counters.... I would bet that they sold ZERO watches that day, because no clerk ever came to that counter and that is of course where I was. And JCP wonders why I have a ZERO balance on my card.... 2 words... Customer Service..... read more

For the most part I don't ever have any trouble at this store. I placed an order online so I went to pick it up. There was a lady in front of me and and a man being helped. The older lady at the register Lilly/Lila? Was being extremely rude. The lady in front of me turned around and said she couldn't believe she was talking to the customer like that- I couldn't either! Seemed as though his order was shipped incorrectly and even missing an item. She called a manager- Blake and he just stood there while this lady was being rude! Finally the customer was pissed off and said she needed to stop "coping an attitude" she snapped back saying she didn't have one. Yes you did lady and everyone else around heard/saw it. The "manager" didn't say 1 word! I felt bad for the customer because it was like they were being inconvenienced because JCPENNEY messed up his order and shipped the wrong items. Poor poor customer service. More training needs to be done for these 2. read more

The hair salon was very nice, clean and comfortable. I got my hair done by NICOLE she was very helpful in helping me understand my options. She was super sweet and made my visit pleasant. My hair is in the process of going from black to "blondish" and NICOLE was able to help start my journey. If you want an experienced, honest, and kind person doing your hair...go to Nicole read more

Just had the most terrible customer service ever. I tried to call and check on a shoe. I was transferred around and placed on hold for 30 mins before someone hung up on me. When I called back and asked the operator Ana how to complain, she ignored me and talked right over me, dryly asking was I calling for the shoe department. She knows I was, she is the first person that gave me the run around. I ended up speaking to two women in the Sephora department. They did not give their names but also placed me on hold and never came back to the line. read more

I've been getting my haircut here for years. The staff has always been pleasant and accommodating They recently reduced their prices, which is always a bonus. I definitely recommend calling to schedule an appointment, although they usually can work in any walk-ins. They have stylists, as well as senior and master stylists (prices vary depending on the level of the stylist). read more

Took my teen in for a haircut and got Keri. Showed her a picture in a book and the finished cut looked NOTHING like the picture... We waited for it to dry (wasn't offered blow dry) and once it was dry, saw that the cut was not done well at all. It was uneven, and much shorter than originally intended. We called to see if we could come in to get it fixed and lo and behold, were assigned to the same girl. The original cut was so off, that a completely new look had to be attempted... Now, her hair is still uneven and very short. We will have to try to find someone tomorrow to see if they can fix it. In addition to the problem in regards to the way the cut looks, she dropped the comb on three different occasions and dropped the guard for the clippers once, each time picking it back up and using it without cleaning it... read more

Just left the store, could not find anyone to help me. The only employees I saw were standing in the isle talking about personal stuff. They will never get back to what they were at that rate. Oh and they are making at least 10.00 $ an hour now.hummm maybe I can get a job there ,paid to stand around?? read more

My husband and I went here today trying to make an exchange for a comforter set we received as a wedding gift. We liked the set, but just needed a size up. We didn't have a receipt, so we were a bit worried we wouldn't be able to. We went inside and asked one of the employees about the exchange and he said we would be able to only exchange it for the same set, but different size. So we went to the bedding area and tried to find the same comforter set, but had no luck. We then were approached by Joshua and we explained to him our situation. He was soooooooo kind, he allowed us to pick any comforter set, so we picked one we liked and he did the even exchange. My husband and I are so grateful for Joshua's customer service! We are pleased JC Penny hired such a great employee. read more

Very helpful and polite, this young lady named maritza. Me and wife felt accommodative the time she was helping us. Thanks.

This JC penny is in a nice area just avoid Louise at the register she seems kinda slow not only on the register but mentally as well like shes not all there up stairs i wanted to exchange a tank top for a larger size i put the bag down on the counter explained to her it was an exchange and gave her the tank i wanted to exchange it for she says whats in the bag im like did you just not hear what i said then she goes i thought it was empty or i thought it was jewelry and was going to send to over to jewelry department im looking around like WTF then had to slow down and explain the situation again by that time she had already wasted 20 min of my time for a simple size exchange all the register people looked like senior citizens moving slower then turtles not suprised why this chain is closing doors staff cant keep up with the times or the people read more

I wish I could rate this place a zero. But I can't. Please do yourself a favor and don't go to this store. The manager Blake was disrespectful to me, he walked away when there still was a conversation going on. I won't be returning. read more

HEALTH HAZARD-due to major rains in the inland area this store has leaks in every nook and cranny. The whole store spells like mildew and I could imagine it's mold. I wouldn't go to this location at all ,try different one read more

Whatever man that' works behind the watch counter is an asshole and not helpful. Next time try and help customers that spend money. You wouldn't have a job read more

What a DUMP this store has become!! The ladies dressing room was trashy and full of clothing, throughout the entire store the roof is leaking and buckets, barrels, and cans are literally all over the place. There is very little help in the form of sales associates available.... I give it the lowest available rating of 1 star. If I could give it less, I would. Furthermore, I was told at checkout they would not honor their online to in-store price match policy. Annoying, since they had previously told me they would. It took 20 minutes to check out with 4 items simply because the department sales associate, the check-out person, the manager, and someone else, did not clearly know the policies. When I verbalized my annoyance I was asked to not be rude. What!?Like letting your customer wait 20 minutes while all the clerks try to agree on policy IS NOT rude?! Yikes! No wonder JCP is going down. read more

Although I like this store, the checkout lines are ridiculous! Sometimes I come in here and leave without buying anything because of the line. What's wrong with management that they can't figure out they need to add more than two people at the cash register??? read more

They have such good customer service. The employees here are always so nice and they really go out of their way to make sure you get the best deal possible. The store is a pretty decent size and it's always organized. read more

By far the worst jcpenney customer service I have experienced. I don't understand why they and so many people on the floor with only a few people on the register. And when I asked for help someone told me you need to go to the front I can't help you. I shopped at this jcpenney years ago and the staff was great as well as the prices and it has all went down hill. I would recommend a different store. read more

One star. I went to Jcpenney just over a week ago, and I wanted to simply get a price check on an item. I went to the back of the department store and asked the white woman with all silver hair in the home dept where could I get a price check, she just looked at me and kept saying sorry, over and over and I couldn't even get the question out. Im standing there and she turned her back and ignored me. Im spending money here, if your hate your job then quit. read more

Worst customer service and incompetent staff. A woman blatantly cut in front of us in line and the staff did nothing about it. When it was finally our turn to pay, all 3 cashiers decided it was time to "fix" things around their register instead of helping the rest of the people in line. Another employee had to walk over and open another register to assist us with our purchase since the cashiers had better things to do. read more

I really like this jc penney every thing is nice and organized... the only thing is that we used this location for family pics... and well i feel that the photographer could have done a better job of positioning the kids... there were a few pics where it looked like one of the kids were hiding behind another. I also wish she would have asked the dad to sit up straight... i mean sometimes we cant tell these little thing until we see the pics, and then it's kinda late cus we can't retake it... after the session is over. read more

The store in Redlands is very dirty, messy, and unorganized. There were peoples half drank water bottles and food wrappers seen numerous times throughout the store. Floors were unswept and/or not vacuumed. Racks we crowded with miscellaneous items that didn't belong making it impossible to find a particular item and a particular size. Shoes were haphazardly put away in incorrect locations and if I found the correct style and size, the box was empty! This happened three times on my visit today. Aisles are too narrow to easily navigate a cart through. Felt like a thrift store, not a department store. JCP should hire more people for customer service, loss prevention, and cleaning as I did not see one associate on the sales floor at all. read more

The girls at the Salon are amazing . Not only do I leave feeling like a rockstar but the inform me of what's best for you hair type. I highly recommend the salon. read more

Now we know why they're closing the JC Penney in Yucca, because the employees are so snotty and rude! Way to go Corporate! The woman with the short hair and glasses especially and the girl who tried to trip me on the way out the door. Shame on you lady! Because of the staff's attitude, customers feel like they're in prison rather than having fun spending their money. It makes sense for JC Penney corporate to close the doors and shut the place down to get rid of the employees instead of giving them buyouts. Then they can reopen and hire brand new caring and supportive employees who respect the customer. Way to go JC Penney Corporate! Get rid of the losers and win. See you next year when you reopen. Drain the swamp! read more

I had a double charge which turned out to be a fraudulent charge on my account and the manager working with me Ariel S. Was very irritated with the situation. Not very helpful and just passed me off to the next person. It was one of THE WORST customer service experiences I've ever had! The guy she passes me onto Daniel took forever get me a copy of the transaction. I ended up leaving because it took so long. Bad experience if you have something major happen. read more

this place is good, because its in the actual JC Penny store. I only go there to get my hair trimed, nothing else. the staff are nice at times. I have only had the best cut from their head salon lady, she does a very carful and neat job The rest of the stylists are younger and not as good, but they are ok. I would only go here for something minor likre a trim, nothing too fancy. read more

I love JCPenney, but lately their A game is so off. I placed an order December 21st and I have not received it. I just finished talking to a customer service representative who advised me to go get part of my order that has been at the store for a while. It's ridiculous that I have to call and check on my order when the JCPenney employees should be scanning orders when they arrive to the store, so us customers can receive our automated call that orders are ready for pick up. Get it together JCP! read more

Olivia, the beauty consultant was very friendly and helpful and patient with me. In my questions how to contour my face and help me choose what colors are best for my skin and also taught me how to fix my eye brows. She is so sweet and I enjoyed her. I go to this store very regularly and am happy with the merchandise, coupons, and sales however there are 2 problems I have EVERY time I go in. The first and biggest issue is the line to check out- there is always a wait of at least 20 minutes! Secondly, they can't seem to work out their A/C issues, it is uncomfortably hot throughout the entire store. read more

One star one above what they should be rated. The security, Peter, would not let me in 8 min till closing even though I know exactly what and where the item is and would checkout max 3 min. It's horrible. And when I ask for a manager he said "no, he's busy". When I ask for corporate number, he simply said "google it". Wow. That's all I can say. Never will I ever support anything with this type of customer service. Train your employees for customer service please. HORRIBLE. read more

I'm done shopping at the Redlands JCP. The checkout line couldn't be more wrong. Why don't they have floor managers to notice that it can take you over 20 minutes to pay and get out. I've talked to so called managers twice & they acted like it was out of their control. I worked for this company for 12 years in the 80's and we were at that time huge on customer service. I've walked out for the last time leaving the merchandise in the cart and went over to Target read more

JCPenny has a lot of choices when it comes to clothes, reasonable prices too, especially when you're lucky to find a great clearance price! However, there are no staff to be found when I needed to ask something or ask for help. Where is everybody? read more

I ordered two pairs of jeans from the JCPenney website on October 13, to be shipped to the store, and that I'd have them within 4-7 business. After the order, I was informed one pair of jeans wasn't in stock after all, so they reimbursed my CC for that. 11 days after the order, I still hadn't received the other pair of jeans. I spoke with a manager, who was initially reluctant to help me out. Then she said she'd get it handled and have the balance reimbursed to me. She had the order number. Crickets, 6 days later. No refund. They want me to come in to the store to resolve it. No. So, I just called my bank and disputed the balance of the sale so JCPenney can get a chargeback. I won't be shopping there again. read more
