This time, I came for best friend photos, and our photographer was incredibly helpful in suggesting poses since we came unprepared.

Everyone was very nice, so the stars are for that. However, I won't be bringing film here again…read more In the past, my husband and I took our film to a shop in San Diego. Prices were around 18$ per roll, and the scans were always high-res (there was no other option). At Mike's, we were not given an option to choose high-res or low-res. Due to the fact that the price was $21.50 per roll, it didn't cross our minds that they wouldn't be high-res. When we got the photos, they were low-res scans that were not even usable because they were so pixelated. They literally looked like flip phone camera photos. When we went to pick the film up, we mentioned it, and they said they could rescan them for an additional $10 per roll (aka $31.50 total per roll... yikes), but the low-res scans were so bad that we decided to pay. One roll of the rescans was better. However, the other roll (which was a lomography red) was scanned backwards, and all the detail in the darker parts of the image are completely lost, so most of the images are still unusable. I know lomography red is a bit different, but we've never had an issue developing it before and they've always turned out clear. I also noticed inconsistency in the size of the photos, as if the full frame is not being scanned. Most of the re-scans are actually longer and include parts of the image we didn't see in the original scans. However, some of the rescans cut off even more of the photo than the original scans. I believe they have photography students working here, which is amazing and I fully support that, but they do not charge prices that reflect student work and it doesn't appear that a seasoned professional is checking the work. The previous shop we used was run by professionals with tens-of-years of experience working with film, and they charged less than Mike's. I hope our experience with Mike's is unique and everyone else has a great experience, but I had to leave ours here, just in case it helps someone.

Myself and two brothers went in there yesterday as we are going thru my dad's slides going back to the early sixties and forward. And I had been in the shop a few weeks ago getting an understanding of what we needed to do to convert these to electronic media. Yesterday, in the middle of maybe the fifth day of going thru the slides, the projector went out. And the projector is probably as old as the slides. Went in believing the light globe had gone out. These guy checked it out and went to work trying to find a globe that old. Not something sold these days. But they found one up stairs and likely buried eventually. The also offered advise on another part that was showing its age pretty well. When we got home, projector worked well and back to work we went. Thanks Photo Source. (I might add have used the shop a few time in colorizing old photos from over fifty year. Every one turned out awesome. So pleased)

She was very friendly at check-in, and she was patient and helpful during the shoot. I took my cat with me, and he was surprisingly cooperative for most of the shoot. This was my first time doing a photoshoot with my cat. I did book a 30 min slot, but it took half that time to get pictures taken and to order photos. I was honestly out the building before my appointment was officially over. As far as picking out photos, figuring out which deal would give me the most bang for my buck (had to figure that out and calculate it on my own), and having them ship my photos, the experience wasn't that great. I received my digital photos the day of the shoot, but I noticed one of my them was corrupted (it was lighter and more faded than the other pictures). Customer service wasn't able [or willing] to resolve that issue after sending me a link that didn't work, so I had to edit the photo myself... The rest of the digital photos came out really well, though. The wait to get my physical photos shipped to me took longer than they said it would. It didn't help that they created the shipping label a week after my shoot, so I got my photos well after Christmas. I wasted my money on the physical photos and canceled my membership after this experience just to get SOME money back. IF I ever do this photoshoot again, I hope customer service does a better job (or that I don't need to speak to them at all because none of my photos are corrupted).

She gave us pose ideas, totally leaned into the vibe we were going for, and went above and beyond to make sure our mom got the best photos. She was incredible, give that girl a RAISE!!

I was tasked to print a photo and have it framed within a couple of days, tops. I went to The Lab and met Jennifer. What a lovely woman and helpful, accommodating, friendly, creative, and suggestive. All qualities I was in need of. She rushed my order, did an amazing job blowing up a smaller pixel photo to a large format using computer techniques. A real pro, she was able to tell me what sizes would work according to what we have and what photoshopping can do. We decided on something , I ran to get a frame, and she put the whole thing together, charging hardly anything for all the things-- rush job, putting the finished product into the matting and frame, etc. I also met her partner (I assume), another woman, and Jennifer told me, "We are a small business, it's just she and me." Cool! I will be returning to this business for future projects and I recommend you consider them for your printing needs!

They are open during Christmas for photos with Santa, you can have your children or the whole family take their picture with Santa and it's a lot more pleasant than the long line and super rushed mall photo. There's much more to it, as well. For instance, they have window displays and a darling set up with Santa's workshop that you can peek inside of, with places for little kids to enjoy while you wait a very short time to get your photos. Also, a nice touch is they email you your photos, very friendly people. This is a family-run operation, very sweet family and there are several really fun details that our 8 year old took notice of, they have a huge book of names, and Santa checks you off and adds notes, very realistic, I loved it. I found out that I am apparently on the "naughty" list :-) which my son got a huge kick out of! I highly recommend taking your family to see Santa there. The shop is next door to Jo Ann and Fresh Choice. If you can't make it for Christmas, I am excited to do the cool Halloween photos they do, complete with spectres and ghostly pets!
