Sometimes on Yelp you get what is rated as a five-star company that turns out to be anything but! HOWEVER, JC Tree Experts deserves a TEN! Javier arrived on time, was very knowledgeable (knew the names and characteristics of the trees I needed cut, when some of the other company's I had bid on the project, who were also professional arborists, did not! He let me know what trees could come back from roots, and so needed to be ground out, and which could be cut to the base only, because they wouldn't grow back -- which is critical information!) Their bid was fair, they were punctual and arrived prepared. My job was complicated by some trees being in awkward to access places, but they were super careful about spas, decks, and overhead power lines. They also did some extra trimming but did not charge me for the extra work. What gives them a ten in my book is the extra effort they made with a difficult neighbor. Javier's crew literally had to stay in a tree for almost an hour while I convinced this neighbor and his wife to let me trim his weed tree that had been dropping branches into my yard for years. Several years ago, while getting tree work done on a family property, we had had an unfavorable experience with a local tree service. Consequently, we were cautious about selecting a service to do removal of 2 trees and trimming on 5 other trees. JC Tree responded quickly to our initial call for an estimate. Once we elected to have them do the work, they schedule service for the following month (it is a busy season for tree service companies). The JC Tree crew worked quickly, and very, very hard. The two removed trees did not have easy access to vehicles and they had to haul cut up tree a distance to their chipper. It looked like it would take more than a day to finish the work, but they finished in the late afternoon, and cleaned up all cut wood, unlike the previous tree service we had used. My family will no longer be calling any other tree service. JC Tree will be our go to. read more

Go ahead and hire JC tree Experts !! We had their service on July 8th. Our yard was surrounded by neighbor's trees on all sides. JC tree team did an excellent job pruning all of them, BUT FOR A LARGE OAK TREE BELONGING TO OUR NEIGHBOR, with 50 percent of the crown over our roof. Although his team tried their best, they could not prune the tree properly, because of interference by our neighbor, who was vehemently saying DO NOT TOUCH MY TREE to Javier Senior, (as well as to us in the past). We thought Javier may back out, but to our surprise he spoke to the neighbor tactfully, and carried out the pruning. Our neighbor was on the other side of the fence watching and supervising the team work, thereby interfering with their abilities to prune the tree properly. I liked his teams expertise in their pruning technique, and Javier's professionalism in handling my neighbor's unjustified demand. His price was also very reasonable compared to the other quotes we received. I would have given 5 stars for his service, if the oak tree pruning job could have been carried out properly. As such giving 4 stars this time, and I know that it was not because of their fault. Tree debris is constantly accumulating over the roof, and loud sounds of acorns falling over the roof in August through December has been unbearable for us. We will watch to see if this pruning has helped in minimizing our problems. If it did not, we will reach out to him again, for a repeat pruning. Hopefully he will help us next time with a crane to reach tree top from our yard, without having to climb on the tree and enter our neighbor's property. read more
