We got a few estimates for our ADU, but we ended up choosing JC Builders because of how responsive they were. We had a lot of questions, and being able to get answers made us feel comfortable going with them. We also loved the 3D design it really helped us picture the space. Now that it's finished, we're just happy to see it all come together. Thank you to the whole team! read more

We did quite a lot with Jorge: exterior paint, gutters, epoxy garage floor, 2 bathroom remodels, kitchen sink, a new gate, and some termite foundation repair work. Jorge was an overall pleasure to work with from the first quote to some inevitable scope creep and the eventual job completion. His pricing is fair, and him and his team got it all done in a timely manner at a high standard. He was also able to offer escrow as a payment option - effectively guaranteeing his work - which set him apart in the initial quoting process. Not only did he complete all the work as agreed, but he even came out and fixed a small thing about a year later. I highly recommend Jorge the next time you need a contractor. read more

JC Builders did an amazing job! We had a built in microwave that needed to be replaced. Prior to JC Builders we had two other people come and they were not able to do the job. JC Builders showed up on time, inspected the area the microwave was built in, and right away they were able to figure it out. They looked up the price of materials and gave us a quote. We agreed on the price and they completed the job that same day. I ended up asking them to replace some LED light fixtures that we've been needing to get replaced also. JC Builders was very professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. I'm so glad I finally know a contractor I can trust and depend on! We will definitely reach out to them again for whatever repairs we need for our house. read more

Thank you to the entire team at JC Builders Great experience working with Jorge and his team. I would recommend JC Builders to a friend and I would reach out to them for future remodeling projects. Jorge was honest and transparent in answering all my questions and during the build was responsive with minor changes. For our project we had three bathrooms that he replaced the baseboards, added 4 new LED mirrors. This required patching up prior overhead lights and repainting the bathrooms. We also had him realign nine interior doors and had this repainted as well. read more

My DTLA condo recently flooded and was in need of drywall work, new flooring as well as baseboards. After taking several bids I found Jorge to be the most reasonably priced. His crew worked incredibly efficiently and Jorge did a wonderful job dealing with the dreaded Condo HOA component. I'd definitely hire him again and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a quality contractor. read more

We hired Jorge to renovate my apartment. Jorge listened and accommodated my never ending requests and was reasonable with his pricing. He was honest and gave options to help with my indecisiveness. A few items that Jorge and his team did was remove popcorn ceiling, remove carpet for vinyl floors, repaint the whole house, tiles for the kitchen and bathroom floors, replaced the bathtub and walls, and the list goes on! But his team was able to accomplish everything that we asked for and did a wonderful job. Would definitely recommend Jorge and his team for any work needed to be done for home renovation and repair. read more

Wonderful work!! Jorge and his team prepped primed and painted our outdoor concrete steps to our house. They did a fantastic job, were efficient, clean, and finished with great results. I recently reached out to JCHI for a quote on a drywall project, but unfortunately had a very difficult time getting a response. Despite my multiple attempts to contact them, I received vague messages about estimates and timeframes for a quote. As a potential customer, I don't feel that I should have to work so hard to try to make business with somebody who's not responsive. It's a shame, because I was really hoping to work with this contractor as they are local, but I will have to look elsewhere for a contractor who values their customers' time and inquiries. read more

Goes above and beyond. Jorge and his crew do great work and are easy to work with. I needed my laundry room foundation to be reinforced because my floor was shifting, along with new drywall, plugs, plumbing etc... Jorge showed up on time to discuss the project and we just connected immediately. He was very knowledgeable about what needed to be done and provided me with a very reasonable estimate hours later. I gave him approval one day and he and his crew showed up the next day right on time. When the floors were removed, we noticed significant issues and the work that needed to be done was going to be a bit more extensive. With no hesitation, he did what needed to be done to make it right without going over estimate, he didn't ask for more money or made any excuses as most contractors would, he rolled up his sleeves and got to work making sure our laundry room was going to be reinforced and leveled as he knew that was the most important part of the job. I was so impressed with the work that was being done, that I kept adding to the project (new costs obviously) and he kept delivering day in and day out. I don't think I ever heard him say no. I told him, you know how to install gutters, he said yes, we agreed on a price and they were installed the next day. His team would always show up on time and clean everyday. I have a few other projects to work on, and glad to know I have someone I can trust, that will get the job done. read more

JC Builders did an excellent job of replacing my attic door. The staff is friendly, efficient, professional, and dedicated to completing their work in an excellent way. I highly recommend them. read more

We hired Jorge and his crew to finish our dry wall and patch stucco around the french door in our living room. They showed up early and did an extremely thorough and clean job. Also, finished the work on schedule. They took great care in protecting the area and cleaning up well after the job was done. We hired them for a second, more ambitious project to create a closet with shelving and make that area an accent wall. Again, we were very happy with the results. The accent wall is the highlight of our living room and it really defines the space and sells the mid century style that we were going for. Thank you Jorge and crew. I highly recommend JC Home Improvement and shall definitely hire them for future projects. read more

JC Home improvement is amazing! What can I say about Jorge and his crew? I had several projects completed by them. No matter what I threw at Jorge he was able to do it . His prices are on point. He gives you input but also honors your ideas. They were here on time and stayed all day to make sure everything got completed in a timely fashion It's really difficult finding a contractor who is honest and that you can trust. I always felt that they were within a reasonable price range and that he had my best interest in mind. I'm super happy with his work and I feel like I found my "go to guy" when it comes to future home improvements. If you are looking for someone to help you with ANY home improvement projects do your self a favor and give Jorge a call You will not regret it!!! We did a roof with JC Builders and it turned out quite nice. They were very responsive compared with other roofers I contacted. Jorge and his crew have helped us out for three separate electrical jobs and done a great job every time. From installing new outdoor GFCI outlets to rewiring a proprietary LED bulb to swapping out our EV car charging unit, Jorge has been communicative (a huge priority for me), prompt, and his team has been solid in their work. Our luck with electricians before JC was spotty in general so it's such a comfort to know we have someone we can call who will respond and ultimately get the job done. read more

I had Jorge Luis and his crew do a remodel in my home that I had just purchased. They removed walls, took out popcorn ceilings, installed all new light fixtures and recess lighting, painted most of the house and doors, installed a new patio door, utility sink and barn door. I'm very happy with the final product and I was very satisfied with Jorge Luis and his service - he made my vision come to life, even with me continuing to add and modify projects. He completed all the projects at the time he said he would and on budget. If something changes he always informed me of additional cost. I want him to actually remodel my garage to convert it into my workshop studio. read more

This review is way over due! I first want to apologize to Jorge and his staff at JC Home Improvements for not posting this bathroom renovation he did for us when work was completed. Jorge has done several jobs for us now, and he and his guys never disappoint. This by far, was a complete gut job all the way down to the studs and also involved breaking concrete to make changes with our shower drain. I wish I had taken the before pictures of our bathroom. However, it was really bad and embarrassing to say the least. I prefer not to live in the past. As always, he is very accommodating, honest, punctual, and reasonable prices for the excellent work. Once you get down to the studs, you can encounter a few set backs and surprises. We did some small last minute changes, and he never had any issues with the curve ball/s we threw at him. The list of work he did for our bathroom renovation is long, but just picture a empty canvas with only the studs and concrete slab. Once again, we will continue to trust Jorge and everyone at JC Home Improvements with our home for any work needed. read more

Jorge was very accommodating and did an excellent job with a drywall install in my loft. The industrial nature of the building and the maze of pipe work made the job a bit unusual but he and his crew had a new set of walls up in just a few days. read more

Good drywall repair, fast and professional. George comes out for Sunday work in order to accommodate my busy schedule with no additional charge. That's great because usually Sunday should be overtime for labor work. Good protection of the furnitures before drywall work. Cleanup the room periodically during the work to keep the area tidy. read more

Was looking forward to getting an estimate on my bathroom remodel. First they cancel the first appointment, then when we reschedule he doesn't give me an estimate. My wife and I had planned to do remodeling for house with limited time to complete. We had a contractor ready. Unfortunately, the contractor had to pull out last minute. We became desperate and searched on Yelp to find someone. Jorge's company was on top of the list and we called him. He was here the next day - on a Sunday. We discussed our plans and he gave us his input. We liked his recommendations. He sent me an estimate the next day, we agreed and they started work a day later. Our house is completely transformed. Jorge and his team worked diligently to get the job done in a short amount of time. We are so happy with the outcome. Jorge Carrillo and his team did a Fantastic Job! They did what they said they would do. They were always on time and stayed late if it was necessary. I would highly recommend JC improvement. Thank you Jorge!! read more

Jorge did our family room first, and we were very impressed with his professionalism and attitude. We have worked with other contractors that do not complete the job promptly and do not know how to work with complications. The face of our fireplace was more difficult to remove than expected, and he and his crew somehow got it done. Our closet doors we ordered were delayed, and for him it was no problem. He built the doors of the closet with 2- 36 inch wide doors that give us better access than the 30 inch doors the company did not deliver. Our kitchen had 39 year old tile with grout we could not clean. The sink was worn out, the cabinets looked dated and the floor showed wear and tear. Jorge and crew painted the cabinets, installed new hardware, installed new quartz and flooring. In other words, family and friends called it a new kitchen. All this work was done under 1 month. During this time he and crew were pleasant and considerate. We highly recommend him, and we will call him for more projects. read more

Jorge is great! Making an appointment with him was easy and he arrived on time. He came to my home in Long Beach and repaired a hole in the wall my son had made while swinging in the doorway. I called George for a quote on a dry wall repair job. He responded right away with a fair quote and was flexible to schedule the appointment. He showed up on time on the day and finished the work faster than I expected. He was also knowledgeable and pointed out the root of the problem - leaking came from the adjacent faucet. No BS, get the work done and I am a happy customer. Will definitely use him again! read more

5 stars aren't enough for Jorge and the amazing work he did fixing our drywall. We are moving out of our apartment and needed some minor/moderate patch work done. I called Jorge on a Monday and he was able to fit us in his schedule a few days later. He was quick to respond with a quote and offered a more than fair price for the work. Similarly, he was ON TIME, friendly, hard working, and an overall good dude. I recommend Jorge and JC Home improvement for any and all home repair needs!!!!! read more

George and team helped clean up our home and get it ready to list for sale. It needed some minor drywall work and lots of clean up of the walls and touch paint. George came over to check out the job and had a quote back later that same night. We scheduled it right away and they were able to knock it out in a couple days. We have a new baby in the house so we wanted it done quickly. Juan delivered and kept the house clean and tidy along the way. All the walls look great! Thanks George and Juan read more

I found Jorge on Yelp. Although he had few reviews, he was nearby so I figured I'd have him come by for an estimate. He was very knowledgable and careful, and gave me a complete written estimate. He is a nice guy and his price was reasonable so I chose him for the job. Very happy I did. He showed up when he said he would and his guys work hard and are careful and polite. It was a big job, tearing up a wall, replacing the drywall, evening out uneven walls, and then skim coating and painting the entire space, and they pulled it off nicely. I'm very happy with the work. Jorge is fair, honest and a good communicator. I will use him again and suggest that others use him too. read more

George and his crew replaced drywall on the ceiling of a 4-plex we own in Montebello - ceiling was the height of a two-story building and above stairs so it was a little tricky to get to. I was not able to review the work done until several weeks after completion as I live out of the area - I was trusting him to do the work properly and he did. He was easy to work with and very responsive. Went out to give an estimate the same day I called and started the project shortly thereafter - started the project when he said he would and finished earlier than anticipated. I would call George again should I need help with another project. read more

JC Home Improvement was quick on estimate. Came to my house same day . I called for a leak in the ceiling that was supposed to fixed 5 months ago as well as for drywall repair. Jorge came to my house and in 2 hours had me a quote. Price was very reasonable and he was going to fix the leak that was supposed to be fix by another contractor. No need to get a quote from another person. He had someone his worker out 2 days later for the roof and the next day a guy came out for drywall repair. Work was done in very timely manner. Jorge was quick and responsive to all my questions by text and phone call. I was not able to be there when the work was being done so he text me picture . Jorge did an excellent job in fixing up my old house in Montebello. He is extremely professional. I was always able to reach him and he always arrived on time. He was also very patient when I wanted to change something. The work that he did looks awesome. His prices are also very reasonable. Another big plus is that Jorge is technologically savvy. Since I work full-time, I was not able to be around to sign the contract or to pick out material in person. He was able to send me emails with photos so that I could make my choices on-line. I called to get a quote on a job the gentleman was polite and friendly asked me to send him pics so he could give a quote. I sent him picks he responded back informing me he would give me a quote shortly. Awesome NOT I'm still waiting on a quote and it's been a week.
