From the early onset of power washing the house and garage, to the detailed and meticulous prep work that went into it, to the priming and finally the 2-coat paint job, all of it done with professionalism and care. They complete the work by carefully checking for any and all blemishes and areas in need of special attention and do the necessary repair work beautifully. Some of my rafters had suffered rot due to the elements. That took care of that as well. They have the resources to tackle any issue related to painting the exterior, all in the name of high quality standards and service. Value? Ramos painted our historic craftsman house three years ago. It needed a lot of love, given the state of the woodwork. The crew did an excellent job, cleaned up the working area at the end of each day, and gave great attention to detail. Three years later, everything has held up well, and our landmark house looks pristine. We asked Ramos to freshen up our back deck this month, and the team did a great job again for a great price. I booked an appointment for a free estimate. Whomever I spoke with on the phone was courteous and friendly. The day of the appointment, I think Oscar Jr came out and seemed professional until he started talking about how I should replace my garage door, an expense that isn't small, and neither of the other two quotes I received mentioned it being necessary. Plus the door works fine.... it started feeling salesy from there. I was told I would get an estimate in a day, but a week passed by and still no estimate, I followed up via email and did not hear back. Ramos Painting, which did not issue the lowest bid, was selected based on a combination of factors including a well itemized and easy to understand quote and the attention paid and questions asked by Oscar Ramos Jr during the initial site visit. Once work started I greatly appreciated that, as represented by Oscar Jr, the crew showed up right at 8:30am and typically worked through 4:30pm. Oscar Sr was typically on site in the morning to ensure the crew was clear on the day's work and typically showed up in the afternoon for quality checks and to discuss any questions I had. Oscar Sr was solicitous and a problem solver, suggesting alternative ways to approach some project challenges that came up. The crew was very courteous, hard-working, paid attention to detail, were incredibly thorough about making sure appropriate areas were taped off, and thoroughly cleaned up at the end of each day. I felt so comfortable with the team that I would either go to work meetings or on errands and leave all doors unlocked for them to gain access to needed areas. As with any project where a client is happy with the vendor, I added on tasks throughout the overall project. Oscar Jr made sure he and I were on the same page relative to additional costs and then issued change orders. As a self-employed consultant who has had challenging experiences with clients who want more services but assume the work is already part of the price, I understood and appreciated the change orders. 11/26/2020 Have been communicating with Oscar to get my house painted. The hardest part is to select a color. Leading up to that, I met with Oscar in person and he is very respectful and knowledgeable to what I may need. Exposed wood will need an oil based paint. My wood railing on the porch will need the wood replaced as it is brittle like tinder. The work included tape work around the windows and doorways for water blasting all the old paint. This will clean up the wall so it can be prepped with more sanding. The prep work just for two windows took me weeks and probably months. Everything was done in just eight days. It could have been seven days but I delayed the process as I wanted to pick a lighter color. I cannot say I have the cleanest yard so I still had some cleaning to do after Oscar and is crew finished. My house does look a hundred times better than before as there is now one color instead of different colors before around the house. I would hire Oscar and his crew again when I am ready to paint the interior. read more

We first met with Mr. Ramos for a quote to remove the wood siding from the front of our house and add stucco. He suggested we keep our siding and explained what he and his company can do to restore it. It's like he read my mind as I wanted to preserve the originality of the house. We were so lucky-- a few days of rain in the forecast meant Ramos Painting Services could take on our smaller interior job for our new home on short notice. From start to finish, they exemplified professionalism and pride of craftsmanship. Despite COVID, Oscar Ramos was the only pro who politely insisted, if our comfort permitted, to visit the space to provide the most accurate estimate. While masked and distanced, he provided the best consultation--recommending finishes and explaining the painting process with ZERO sales pressure. The crew showed up on time and took great care with protecting floors, labeling walls, and masking. I had follow-up questions after the job was completed, which were promptly answered, including one that required a trip back to the property. They truly went the extra mile, and as a result, I've asked for an estimate for more work next month. I had requested nearly a full painting interior for a place that needed a lot of love and care. Tim and Oscar provided some great recommendations and were very knowledgeable about the process when they came to view the home. I am very pleased with the work considering the large scope. The home had a lot of small dents in the wall, holes in the walls, broken or missing baseboards, strange textures, and then painting the rooms, closets, stairwell, and hall. They were able to cover a bright orange and fix a room that had been poorly painted over with a light color. The end result is beautiful and I am so happy with their work. Oscar Sr. and Jr. did an amazing job! We had the team install a new quartz countertop, new subway backsplash, new sink and faucet, and painted lacquer all of our cabinets. They went above and beyond with extras and never was unpleasant. Even the seam on the L portion of countertop was so well done. We contacted Ramos Painting Services and spoke to Oscar about getting an estimate for repainting our kitchen cabinets. Oscar was more than willing to work around our schedule for coming by for the estimate and he arrived at on time. When Oscar left, he said he would email the estimate to us. After a few days we still hadn't received the estimate, so I called him (he came by for the estimate on a Friday so we waited a couple of extra days because of the weekend). He told me not to worry, that he works up his estimates on Wednesdays and he would send ours by the end of the day. After still not receiving the estimate, I called Oscar and left a message which he never returned.
