If you are looking for the absolute best price and a contractor who is genuinely easy to talk to, Jay is your guy. He is very agreeable and was always willing to negotiate and perform reworks until I was satisfied with the result. That said, if your project is on the more complicated side like mine was, you should be prepared to take an active role in project management. The timelines did extend significantly beyond the original estimates, and I had to stay on top of the subcontractors to ensure the craftsmanship met my standards. It wasn't a hands-off experience, but because he is such an honest person to deal with and his pricing is so competitive, we got both projects to the finish line. A strong pick for those on a budget who don't mind being involved in the details. After working with many contractors in the Bay Area, I've found that the alternative is usually someone charging much more who promises a turnkey experience but can't guarantee it either. Knowing that tradeoff, I would hire Jay again - and already have.

A huge thank you to our project manager, Allen, who did an amazing job keeping everything organized and running smoothly. The entire crew was a pleasure to work with--a special shoutout to Johan (their master plumber and electrician) and his brother for their outstanding craftsmanship and attention to detail. Like most major remodels, there were a few unexpected delays along the way, but almost all of them were completely out of their control. What impressed me most was their dedication: the team worked tirelessly, including weekends, to make up for lost time and keep us on schedule. We were also thrilled with their designer, Emanuele, who was incredible to work with. He helped guide us through color schemes and design choices, and his vision really brought the spaces to life. On top of the bathrooms, we decided last-minute to have them replace the cracking tile in our entranceway. They knocked it out incredibly fast, and they did a great job containing dust and keeping the work areas clean throughout the process. I highly recommend Wise Builders to anyone looking for quality work, clear communication, and a hardworking team. Thank you, Wise Builders!

They are honest, forthcoming, and patient, and their communication was fantastic throughout the entire project as they worked diligently to keep everything on track. Of course, with a full home remodel there are always unforeseen problems. When we hit a major delay due to the HVAC subcontractor, Aaron and Alex worked incredibly hard to resolve the issues and advocate for us. Even though those HVAC problems cost us about six weeks, the overall project still came in right on schedule. Our kitchen designer, Michele, was fantastic and brought our vision to life perfectly, and the bathrooms were designed beautifully as well. The crew--Angel, Asher, Enrique, and Donato--were professional, hard-working, and a pleasure to have in our home. We are thrilled with the results and highly recommend Wise Builders for their full-service approach and excellent problem-solving.

We contracted Prime Design & Build to remodel two bathrooms, a laundry room, a staircase, and to…read moreinstall hardwood flooring. Overall, the project went well, and we're happy with the final results. Bryan, our foreman, was a strong asset to the project. Even though he was managing multiple jobs at the same time, his responsiveness and willingness to go out of his way to address our concerns made a big difference. Because we were home throughout the process, we were able to catch issues early and communicate them directly to Bryan, who consistently followed through to resolve them. What Went Well: * The tile and flooring subcontractors were excellent - their craftsmanship and attention to detail truly stood out. * Bryan, our foreman, was responsive to texts and phone calls, listened to our concerns, and made sure they were addressed. He even designed a bi-fold closet door for us, and helped pick up all the material to build it. * Bryan also took the initiative to handle several unfinished items himself, which we really appreciated. * The post-build cleaners were top-notch and left the space in pristine condition. * Throughout the project, everyone we interacted with was professional, courteous, and conscientious. There were no conflicts or issues, which made the experience comfortable for us. Areas for Improvement: * The timeline was a pain point. While we were originally told the project would take 6-8 weeks, it ended up stretching to 12 weeks. * The design process fell short of expectations. Because Prime's in-house designers weren't available, our design work was outsourced. We only received a full design package for the master bathroom. As a result, we ended up creating our own renderings for the other rooms to help communicate our vision to the team. That said, we were very happy with the design and material selections for the master bathroom they did complete. We just wish the same level of attention and design support had been provided for the rest of the project. * At times, resource availability was limited, likely due to workers being assigned to multiple jobs. This led to workflow inefficiencies and delays. Toward the end of our renovation, our foreman Bryan had to personally step in to complete several tasks, such as installing faucets, shelving, and baseboards. He managed to get it done in between site visits and meetings, which we appreciated, but it also highlighted a lack of available crew to close out the project. Despite these few challenges, the quality of the work met our expectations. We appreciated the team's effort and the final outcome.

There have been multiple unresolved issues with the quality of work and follow-through. One example is an LED light that continues to flicker. It has been more than six months, with many calls and text messages, but the issue still has not been fixed. Another example is damage to our garage cabinet, where a hole was created during the work. We are still waiting for this to be repaired as well. Overall, the lack of timely resolution and poor communication after the project has been extremely frustrating.

Right from the start, it was clear that he was on top of the job. He arrived the same day to assess the project and had shared an estimate within an hour. His pricing was reasonable and he quickly scheduled the work. He completed a very neat and quality job quickly and while keeping us updated through the process. He was readily accessible and was prompt in responding to any questions. Gadir was sincere and committed and went above and beyond on the job. First, when he visited a couple of different Lowes stores to find the specific wood we wanted for flooring and brought it to the site. After the job was complete, he fixed the garbage disposal which had a screw badly latched in. He needed to disassemble the garbage disposal to pull it out, and from looking at the screw, it was clear it wasn't one they had used. I will be reaching out to Gadir for future remodelling jobs.

They suggested bifold closet doors-- saves so much space. You have your ideas of ur new home, but they tweak it to make it better! Love it. On day of demo, we met Jerry, Luis, Jonathan, and Joshua. Jerry and Luis were on top of communication and kept everything on schedule. Jonathan and Joshua were our main guys. They worked every day. They helped with moving our boxes into the storage bin, then started the demo process. How fun was it to see our house completely gutted out in less than one day.. wow. They revamped our home with a stunning remodel--new kitchen, new bathroom, transformed hallway closet space to a new powder room, broke down walls to create a bigger space for our living area, new flooring, complete electrical rewire, new recess lighting with dimmers in all rooms, new attic storage, new closets, new windows, and fresh paint. Everything feels sleek, modern, and functional. Not to mention... we now have an awesome new movie room too! The kids are loving it. Walking into our house now feels like stepping into a brand-new home! The whole process took about 3 months... from demo, to materials pick up, to permits, clean up removal, repaint. From the start of the design project, they used high quality sub contractors for design, engineering, and all the trades in the house. Fernando, our project manager was incredible. He would stop by almost every night to ensure that the subs were performing their work and not leaving or damaging any other contractors' work. Sarmad is a problem solver. He sees an issue and thinks through how to solve it, then presents clear options to choose from. Throughout the process, we were not surprised by unanticipated expenses - all changes were clearly explained and we had the option to make changes via clear change orders. EDR uses Buildertrend for all program management and billing, which made payments, change approvals, and scheduling tracking seamless. While this sounds like a basic requirement in 2026, not all contractors use these services which just adds friction to the process. We couldn't recommend EDR more for the quality of work on our house, the schedule execution, care for detail, and just taking care of our project.
