Hired this company for a few work orders at few places I own Every job I sent him he was calling me 20 times nonstop complaining about the type of job buying the wrong materials and wasting my time, So I decided do not hire him for more jobs. I Always paid him on time and never gave him a reason to get upset. Since then, he has been harassing my tenants and me, threatening to call the city inspector to come to my buildings, sending my tenants ideas how they can sue me trying to force a Tennent to go on a date with him for smoke and drink in a very aggressive way, and many more... He seems to be very desperate for work and claimed that no one wants to hire him and kept asking me for more work, and when I said, I'm not willing to work with him, he get upset and start threatening again. I would stay away from this guy and will never let him in my house or any of my properties. I also filed a police report against him and restriction order together with a few of my tenants that has been harassed I attached a few screenshots to show the type of service you will be dealing with working with this company. Originally I called them to install my powder room vanity. Then I asked if they can do wainscoting, and they said they do! The price was reasonable and they showed up on time. I was so happy with the work! I will be contacting them in the future for more jobs. They didn't do the painting so don't judge the paint lol but they did the toilet, vanity and the wainscoting! Hired this guy replace a water heater. What a nightmare. Lied about when he would be there, horrible communication, he broke a valve, he kept complaining he has to spend his own money, he didn't install the drip tray or the other stuff he said he'd do, AND to top it all off, he left the old water heater sitting in the middle of the kitchen. After some communication he sold me on they are a "5 star" company. So I decided to have him come to my home to give me a quote on a couple small jobs and painting the entire interior of my home, we set up an appointment. He did not show, nor did he communicate about missing after the fact. After reaching out to him, he just made excuses about not showing and never offered up any sort of apology or acknowledgment about missing the appointment. Wouldn't be a big deal if I didn't take the afternoon off of work to meet him at my home. Not a 5 star company. Not a 5 star experience. read more

After trying and failing to find a reliable handyman on my own, I went to yelp to get someone good. I sent out a few feelers to get an idea of what talent was available and at what cost. I had a few people contact me that either did not service my area, although their listing says Chicago, their prices were too high for the job, or they did not have available times that worked for me. I was super impressed that instead of sending me several emails, I got a text for JayJ with a no-nonsense price and a ready for the world attitude. He was at the top of my list from that point. Once I figured out what I wanted done, we agreed on a price, and he decided to meet me the same day after work. This was great because I did not have to miss work for the appointment and I was able to gather the supplies they needed for the job. JayJ and Cash show up with tools in hand ready for anything. They worked fast and well together and installed five door locks for me in very little time. Quick and efficient. I was so impressed with the work that I asked them for an estimate to install a light fixture that I have had in a box for over two years. The installation was on an 18-foot ceiling and no other handyman would do it for a reasonable price or would even show up to do the work. So, on the spot, these gents made my dreams come by installing this fixture for me. Happy is not the word to describe how glad I was that they had done a project in less than one hour on the spot that had not been completed in over two years!!! What a relief and a blessing. This was a fantastic valentines day for me to get my dream house projects done so fast and so well. These two will certainly be on my speed dial list for more work. They left my home better than it was when they arrived. I am a super happy customer who is now dreaming up more projects for them to do. These guys are also super kind and a joy to get to know. I hired JayJ to paint my basement walls, to paint the staircase walls leading down to the basement, and to do some light patchwork on the dry-walls prior to painting. I initially setup the appointment for 1pm on a Saturday. When that day came, he didn't show up and didn't notify me at all that he wasn't planning on coming, which was a bit disappointing. I reached out to him close to 2pm that day and found out that his truck was in the shop and he wouldn't be making it out to my house to paint. So, we rescheduled for the following Tuesday @ 9am. When he showed up, he was a bit late (~20-25 mins late) and said traffic was an issue. Him and associate worker then painted the walls, with the paint I provided. It turns out 2 buckets wasn't enough, so I had to run out and get a 3rd bucket to complete the job. Near the end of the job, he claimed that the work was a bit more than he was expecting, but that he'd still be able to do it for the price he quoted. I didn't see how that was my fault though, as he could have asked any clarifying questions to get a better assessment of the amount of work that was to be done. Anyways, after the job was done, I paid him via Venmo and even threw a bit more money his way as I wanted him to feel properly compensated for the work. After he left, I closely checked (when the paint had dried) the quality of the painting and saw a few smalls areas/spots that needed touching up. I'd give the workmanship a 4.5 out of 5 stars, but the communication on his behalf left quite a bit to be desired, and I'd give him a 2 out of 5 stars for that. I hired Jayj Handyman services to do paint work in my home. I had to go to work in the morning and told him to show up at 6:50 sharp, so I could let him in and leave at 7:00am. He showed up several minutes early, giving me some cushion so I didn't have to run out the door, which I really appreciated. So I left to work and came back hoping for good results. Had an emergency after another company left me high and dry. Junk king remove items out of my home and broke my door. I was unable to shut my door and they didn't care. They wanted me to pay them before I had someone look at the door. I said I will pay the boss when he came to look at it, they said no. My only option was to pay now (discount rate) and the boss would come and look at it when he was done with his job., or they will put everything back. Mind you they broke everything they took out.
