We love Java point! From the great friendly customer service to the yummy seasonal drinks/treats! Java point is one of my families favorite spots where we can get something delicious for everyone and walk thru the surfing hall of fame at Huntington Surf and Sport! My favorites I recommend are the vanilla vanilla drink & the sunrise sandwich! It's a 5 out of 5 every time! Go get your drink & take a stroll on the pier. Nothing better!

Stopped in for a quick coffee while doing some full blown tourist shopping. Wife already had a Starbucks but I decided to try this. While the shot in my latte was pulled good and not sour, the beans were just not good beans, or not a good roast. This flavor is exactly the type of bean I try to avoid, I would pass this up and go to Starbucks for more depth of flavor and a much smoother roast. Service was fine, and the ambiance is pretty neat being inside a surf shop, but when I'm looking for coffee, I need GOOD coffee, not just convenience and ambience.

This is a nice little coffee joint inside Huntington Surf and Sport. They have a nice variety of drinks, breakfast items, and pastries. I went with iced tea which was pretty good. I was lucky to get a seat at one of the outside tables You can watch the action on Main Street while enjoying your food or beverage. It beats walking to the major chain joint up the street.

Top-Notch hospitality! GREAT 4 shot mochas with oat milk or whole milk! Treat yourself to the REEF on a everything bagels! Highly recommended! :)

Avocado toast with feta cheese and hot sauce. Washed it down with a refreshing cold nitro coffee. Delicious!

I am visiting from out of state. I have been coming here almost everyday since I tried it for the first time. The avocado toast is the best toast I have ever tried. I get it with feta cheese and the bread is lightly toasted and so soft on the inside. The service is great. The employees always smiling are on point with friendly, quick service. I will keep coming here until I leave.

Pretending to be pondering my order but we all know I'm getting the lavendar latte ;)

Tucked away in Huntington Beach's iconic Huntington Surf and Sport on Main St. right by the pier lies a favorite locals coffee shop called Java Point. Can I give 6 stars? Because these girls deserve it. Lauryn and Jessi know just what I like; a lavendar latte with almond milk and sometimes even have it ready for me when I get there! I had been telling the girls I wanted a Java Point T-shirt, so they ordered some for customers and are now carrying them in the store! My favorite breakfast bagel-sandwich is the "reef" If you want an authentic surfer-type experience in "Surf City USA" grab an awesome coffee and chillax at the pier!

    17 dollar avocado toast

17 dollars for one slice of avocado toast that wasn't any more than decent. Sure it looked pretty but this thing wasn't filling at alllll for the price. Disappointed because it was a cute place.

Cinnamon pull apart, pizza bagel toasted with cream cheese and a cold brew coffee with vanilla and a caramel drizzle!

Their sweets are just as impressive -- fresh, delicious, and the perfect pairing with your drink. And the staff? Truly some of the kindest people you'll meet. The owner is incredibly sweet and creates such a genuine, positive atmosphere that you can feel the moment you walk in. This place checks every box for me -- great coffee, great people, great energy. First review of 2026!…read more It's time to finally share my favorite matcha spot in all of OC (atm). While the first few visits were for their coffee drinks, it wasn't until they brought in the MAMA Latte that we started getting addicted. The drink is quite pricey, but it's one of the best matcha drinks I've personally had. It packs a punch of flavor, but is also smooth and creamy at the same time. My wife has also started trying their other variations such as the Cookie Butter Matcha and Creme Brulee Matcha (she enjoys the former one a lot). The lines are still long but definitely worth the wait. Will definitely be back!

But, Brew Story stands out for a few reasons: 1. Parking is easy and free in this strip mall. For me, this is a huge perk. 2. The variety is incredible, they have everything from a cookie butter latte to strawberry shortcake matcha and black sesame soft top. There's just so many options here that even if I always want to get the black sesame soft top matcha (which I do) there's always something new to try. 3. Lots of seating! Why do some places have like 1-2 tables? I want to sit and relax or do work and stay a while (and btw will order another drink while I do so)! There's a long table here for big groups, a few smaller ones, a more loungey area and a counter with bar stools. The one thing you might not love about this spot if you're used to a quick mobile order and pick up with no wait coffee situation is that it is a bit of a wait. I wouldn't come here if you're in a rush. Other than that, it's a great spot to enjoy a yummy pastry and flavored latte.

I pulled up while waiting on my sandwich from a nearby spot (multitasking at its finest), and decided to do what any self-respecting coffee enthusiast would do--wander into a local coffee shop like I know what "notes" I'm tasting. The barista immediately passed the vibe check and recommended the Groovy Gorilla iced latte--his personal favorite. Then he casually mentioned he makes it his own way, like some underground coffee remix. Say less. I told him to bless me with the custom version, and he delivered. (Shoutout to that man--he knew exactly what he was doing.) I also grabbed a massive chocolate chip cookie with sea salt flakes because... balance. You can't just have a handcrafted latte without a cookie the size of your face. That's against hipster coffee bylaws. First sip of the latte? Yeah... I got it. Banana, chocolate, peanut butter--basically if a smoothie and a dessert had a highly caffeinated, well-dressed child. Smooth, flavorful, and dangerously easy to drink. Only downside? It's in Huntington Beach and not LA, which feels like a personal inconvenience to me. But if you're anywhere nearby, this spot is absolutely worth pulling up to. Final verdict: great coffee, great vibes, and a barista who might secretly be a flavor scientist.

Not the best for drinks but a good option if you need a place to work/study that opens somewhat late & isn't crowded. We tried the matcha monkey (banana matcha) and their new summer drink, melona matcha. Their banana matcha was pretty sweet and strong in banana flavor in the cream top and syrup, but lacked the taste of matcha. Same for the melona matcha. Super refreshing as it's made with cantaloupe milk but no matcha. Not bad but they're not known for their matcha, so I would stick to their coffee. Minor things to note - they blast the AC so I would make sure to dress warmly or bring a jacket. Parking can be a bit rough but I confirmed with the barista that they don't check parking at the front, so you can ignore the time limit!

They've also got a nice little patio to just rest and relax at while you enjoy your drinks. I've had a few pretty deep conversations coming out of this place. Okay, even though I did come to a coffee shop, I did end up getting a hojicha latte that was roasty, nutty, and delicious alongside the vanilla notes that they add. Great choice for some of you who don't do so well with caffeine. It's easy to drink, and thoughtfully prepared! I got something a little different. It was a strawberry co-ferment espresso in a cappuccino ratio. You could really taste that strawberry come through, and having it hot and with milk was a perfect choice. Fruity, complex, and funky! Love to see places serving co-ferments. I don't think it's over-played in specialty coffee, and I do appreciate having the option! And, I didn't get it today, but getting a fancy pour-over at this spot really hits. If you coffee sweats like the fun stuff, you'll have plenty of that here! The workers are really nice and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I tried their Earl Grey Matcha Latte, and it's honestly one of the best I've had. Not many places offer this combination, so whenever I see it on a menu, I have to try it. What I really liked about this one is how well balanced it is. The earl grey is light enough that it doesn't overpower the matcha, so you can actually taste both flavors clearly without one taking over the other. The Hojicha Vanilla Cream Latte was also really good. The cream on top was silky, smooth, and rich, adding a nice layer of sweetness that paired well with the roasted, nutty flavor of the hojicha. It made the drink feel really comforting and well put together.
