We just came on a whim and are both really happy with our drinks. The guy working yesterday was friendly and loved that he was vibing to the music. Honestly kind of rare these days to see people enjoying their day at work! We tried a hot latte with vanilla syrup and an iced latte with Nutella syrup and non dairy milks. Their syrups are made in house and not overly sweet in the drinks which is refreshing. Tried their yummy gluten free banana walnut chocolate chip muffins. All of the non dairy milks were gluten free as well. Plenty of seating inside with 3 or 4 tables right outside the door as well. 10 out of 10 all the way around and will be going back soon.

    Avocado toast and Einspanner

I was in the area and checked Yelp to find a nice coffee shop to get some work done. I was excited to check AOSA out because the interior looked really cute and despite the mixed reviews on drinks, it seemed that their customer service was on point. Unfortunately for me, I came on someone's first day (which I gathered from hearing the conversation between workers). I was scanning the menu and asked the new employee what the most popular coffee drink was. She named the tri and cookie drink (I believe those were the names), and mentioned they were pretty sweet. I told her I usually get the Einspanner at other coffee shops and asked if that would be a stronger coffee option. She gave me a funny face and said, "uh, all of the coffees have the same amount of shots in them..." I told her I was just asking if it would be less sweet since she mentioned the other two signature drinks were on the sweeter side. I ended up ordering the Einspanner and an avocado toast. I set up to get work done at a table and a few minutes later, I'm called for my drink. I wanted to wait for the toast so I can enjoy them together, and also take a photo for my coffee page on IG. I keep looking up as the time goes by, and I assume it's taking a long time because they must be making everything to order. After 18 minutes (I checked), I go up to the employee and ask how much longer the toast will take. I repeated myself and she seemed confused and then her eyes widened, she smirked and said, "I'll have it right out for you." No apology. It was very obvious she forgot about it. About 5 minutes later she calls me up to get the toast and says, "I'm so sorry, someone must have grabbed yours because we made it." I instantly called BS in my head, because only ONE customer came in during the time I was waiting and she grabbed something from the refrigerated section, and then went to the bathroom and left. I was like, "Really? Because I was waiting for my name to be called." Like, how could someone accidentally take my toast on a plate that was mean to be eaten there? The interactions with this employee from the beginning already ruined the mood for me, and the cover up excuse made it worse. Just tell me you forgot, that's it. If I would have been helped by the other two employees that were there this morning, it would have been 5 stars, because they had wonderful interactions with the customers. **avocado toast was good, but I wish they used a thicker slice of bread. Einspanner was okay.

Their seasonal drink called the Cinn-a-Latte is a must try if you like cinnamon. It's delicious! Espresso, housemade cinnamon spice syrup, milk & a torched cinnamon stick! I save the cinnamon stick as a bonus scent stick at my kitchen window. Always welcoming and friendly staff too. I didn't try the croissant but it was really huge and tempting!

I stumbled upon Aosa Coffee in Huntington Beach, and wow.. what a gem! From the moment I walked in, the vibe was warm, inviting, and full of that wonderful fresh coffee aroma we all dream about. The highlight? They offered me a complimentary pour over/drip coffee to try, and it was absolutely amazing, smooth, rich, and full of flavor without being bitter. You can tell they really care about their craft. The barista (I believe her name was Hayley... or maybe Hannah lol either way, she was fantastic! Super friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about coffee. She took the time to explain the beans, the brewing process, and gave genuine recommendations without feeling pushy. I loved the coffee so much, I ended up buying a bag of their beans to take to my business and trust me, they're just as good in my home brewer. If you're in Huntington Beach and want a coffee experience that's more than just a caffeine fix, this is the place. Aosa Coffee is now at the top of my list, and I'll definitely be back. Cheers,

Came in with friends and the service was great. When it came down to the actual food and drinks my friends vanilla latte was missing the vanilla when I went to grab it and the barista was said "wait I forgot the vanilla, let me add it without ruining the art". When my friend drank her drink there was none until the end and she got all the syrup in the bottom of her cup. She also mentioned her avocado toast barely had any avocado but the strawberry toast was delicious. I loved the açaí bowl with banana, blueberries and strawberry but my strawberry matcha was bitter and didn't have much flavor.

My friend recommended this place and I finally made it over. Super cute, good coffee, good pricing. Better quality for less or the same as the big mermaid coffee chain. For my drink in a timely manner, and staff was super friendly. I got the lavender latte, and it was super good. My partner said it's their favorite of the places we've been to and they've tried. Would definitely come here again.

Great açaí bowls for one of the best prices in the area, they put a lot of nut butter on top. The strawberry ricotta avo toast is unique but the original is my favorite. Inside is a great place to work, catch up with friends or just vibe. Friendly service with only one person working the shop. Shopping nearby at Trader Joe's, and short walk or drive from Huntington Harbor and small beaches.

    cold brew
    Ashley R.

I got a cold brew . All of their syrups are house made with cane sugar, so they did not have any sugar-free options like I typically order. The staff kept offering to make a simple syrup out of their Stevia packets to which I declined, but I appreciate that they were wanting to accommodate me. I did not enjoy the flavor of my cold brew . I always appreciate when a blend has distinct flavor notes. The issue here was that I distinctly tasted a particular nut that I strongly detest. They had no way of knowing that I did not like this, but it was not posted anywhere what their tasting notes were. had I known I would not have ordered it. The staff (which I later found out was the owner) was very kind although when she was taking her order, she had her young child at her hip . I think it is a bit odd to be working and taking orders at the cash register while having your young child at your hip. I don't know if she was unable to get childcare or something but I did not very much appreciate this. I thought the price was pretty excessive . I got a large and my friend got the regular. My cup had a logo on it and his did not. My friend got the cinna latte which had a whole roasted cinnamon stick in it. We had a little laugh about this! Seems a bit odd to have a whole cinnamon stick on top of your latte I had heard very positive things about this coffee shop and was disappointed . They have other drinks as well as açai bowls, which I would like the opportunity to try and review.

Such a cute coffee shop! I stopped here on a Saturday morning on my way to an event. The service was fast & tentative. It wasn't busy & our order came out in a timely fashion! Now for the drinks!: Matcha latte 8.5/10: great tasting! The matcha was rich. The only organic sweetener they had was maple syrup, which I got a little bit in my latte. They did offer honey & other sweetener, but the organic maple syrup was perfect! Not too sweet. I also got it with almond milk Honey latte 8.5/10: had strong key tones of coffee. Not sure what roast it was! Note the honey is not organic Overall! Such a cute spot! It reminds me of wood blocks I used to play with as a child. There is a wheelchair accessible bathroom & pastries for food & some assorted toasts, & some açaí bowls!

Stopped by this morning to fully utilize the last few weeks of solitude I will have before my baby girl arrives. I've been here once before and remembered a very positive experience so I decided to come back today. I ordered the OG acai bowl with granola and almond butter (the toppings are included in the price) and Bluey drink. Both were a delight and I got to start on a book I've been wanting to read for a while. I am almost certain the acai they get is the same acai that Toast from Costa Mesa uses because they have a particular texture that I am in love with. So yum!

We did the indoor seating but were sat where we could see the beach and sunset. We ordered: Spicy tuna crispy rice (4/5): super yummy and added extra thai chilis for a kick. Some parts of the rice were more hard than crispy. Black mussels (4/5): pretty good, mom loved them. The bread it came with soaked up the sauce wonderfully. Garlic fries (5/5): so flavorful and crispy and garlicky- dipped them in the mussel sauce and it was amazing. Shrimp and lobster linguine (4/5): could use more salt but overall really good! They're pretty generous with the shrimp and lobster (maybe like 5 large shrimp and 3 claws iirc). Pistachio crusted halibut (4.5/5): mom said this was her favorite because of the flavor, flakiness of the fish, and abundance of vegetables. Had such a great dining experience at Lōrea inside Pasea Hotel & Spa!…read moreLet me start by saying the food was SO delicious overall. Now, for full honesty, the starters weren't the star of the show for me. We ordered the pork belly wraps and spicy pork gyoza. Both were cooked well, but in my opinion, they were missing that extra "something" maybe a dipping sauce or a bit more flavor to really elevate them. Next time, I'd probably skip those and try different appetizers. The service was great from start to finish attentive, friendly, and everything came out smoothly. The restaurant itself is super cute, and I loved both the indoor and outdoor seating options. We sat outside under the heaters, which made for such a cozy, perfect vibe. BUT the mains and sides? That's where they absolutely delivered. I had the Korean BBQ salmon and WOW flavor on flavor on flavor. Easily one of my favorites of the night. For the table, we shared lobster mac and cheese, asparagus, and whipped potatoes, and let me tell you... those sides were everything. The portions are generous (perfect for sharing with 4-6 people), the mac and cheese was rich and creamy, the asparagus was cooked perfectly, and the whipped potatoes? Smooth, fluffy, and packed with flavor, definitely a standout. We were originally hoping for the tomahawk steak, but they had run out (sad moment ). However, they made it right by offering a prime New York steak for two and honestly, no regrets because that steak was FIRE. Super flavorful, juicy, and absolutely mouthwatering. We also tried the Wagyu and sea bass, which were both delicious, but the real highlights for me were the steak and salmon. Drinks were also on point! We had an Old Fashioned, Moscow Mule, and a few lemon drops including blackberry, passionfruit, and watermelon. The blackberry lemon drop was hands down my favorite, so good! To top it all off, they brought out the cutest birthday macaroons! One tasted like Fruity Pebbles (so fun!) and the other was paired with whipped cream and raspberries such a sweet touch. Overall, while the appetizers didn't quite hit for me, the mains and sides absolutely carried the experience and are 100% the reason I'll be back. I'll definitely be returning for more steak and that Korean BBQ salmon!

I spent over a week researching and trying to find a special place to have a birthday lunch. Based…read moreon the menu, I picked this restaurant. It was very underwhelming, unfortunately. I called ahead of time and made a reservation and they knew it was for a special birthday. We did get a seat right against the glass overlooking the beach, which was very pretty and the restaurant is very pretty. But I guess it wouldn't have been that hard to get a table against the glass because there was only maybe three or four other table tables sat in the whole restaurant anyways. Our waitress came up to us and seemed nice and asked us if we wanted a drink but we literally hadn't even looked at the menu yet so I said I just need a minute to look and then she proceeded to not come back for about 15 to 20 minutes to take our drink order, which was disappointing. We waited so long before she came back that we went ahead and ordered the food and drinks at the same time because I didn't know when she would come back again. It took a long time to get the drinks. The drinks came about the same time that the food came. They only had a few specialty cocktail items available on the menu. I picked one. I did not like it, but that's not their fault. The food unfortunately was really bad. It all sounded really good, but I did not like it. The only thing that I liked was the salmon appetizer smoked salmon on a flatbread bread. The avocado toast had horrible bread, and the avocado on top tasted like spoiled avocado. And the fig and Barada, unfortunately was on the same bread that was absolutely horrible bread, and had no flavor on top. The rosemary french fries were good. I think the worst part of it though was the fact that the waitress that was waiting on us pretty much never showed up again. She wasn't even the one that brought us our food. And I had to wait probably 20 minutes for her to come back around when we were done eating and by that time I had just sent my card at the end of the table because I didn't want to wait for the check and then have to wait another 20 minutes for her to come back with that. It was odd to me because she couldn't have been that busy when she only had. What like two tables? Like what was she doing back there lol anyways it was not the best.
