Worst dip ever. My dip manicure literally lasted 8 days before it started chipping and coming off in clumps. I spent 3 hours at the salon to get a pedicure and dip manicure and spent $120. Definitely not worth it. It's 5 minutes from my house but I'm going back to the nail place by Southglenn next to Perfect Pets. They do an amazing job and it's done in less than 45 minutes. Lesson learned - closer is not always better! read more

I honestly feel like I was scammed with how bad my acrylics I got here were. The length I asked for was pretty long, but after they cut that length, they filed it down to almost my fingertip (even though I didn't ask them to make them any shorter). Every single nail is a different length, and I asked for coffin shape, but every nail is a different shape and none of them are symmetrical at all. I've gotten good pedicures here but my acrylics are genuinely the worst set of acrylics I've ever had and I'm mad I had to pay so much for the worst acrylic nails I've ever had. read more

this place is awesome. i have come here twice now; first visit was for gel mani--i got dip powder done at another salon and felt it was too chunky so i switched to gel and was very pleased with their work. i got lilac with chrome and it lasted for a month. this is wonderful and impressive bc i was working in retail and had to constantly use hand sanitizer and wash my hands and the gel still kept. the latest time i went in was yesterday (12/30) and i was feeling a little daring so i switched again but this time from gel to a full set acrylics and was thoroughly impressed yet again. i showed my nail artist a picture of what i wanted from pinterest and she nailed it--pun intended. the design i received was clear powder with my ring and index fingers with gold foil on them. it only came out to 50 dollars, too. this place never disappoints and the hand massage at the end was really lovely. i can't wait to come back next month and see the results of my nails. i highly recommend this place. they even do lashes. read more

I went to this nail salon two days ago. The nail technician was rude throughout the service, dismissive, and overcharged us $15. She stated that the $15 charge was for Chrome color added to my child's nails. Afterwards, my child told me that they tried pushing Chrome color to her but she decided against it. The technician rushed at the end and the polish was applied unevenly. When I came to this shop today asking about the "Chrome" charge, I showed a photo of the nails without the chrome color. The employee I talked to got defensive about the charge, didn't offer a refund and told me that the extra charge was because the nails were long... This explanation seemed to be thought of on the spot and was different from the explanation I received the other day. They also ask for tips in cash instead of credit card. When I added a 20% tip to the credit card since I didn't have cash, she rolled her eyes at me. Additionally, in one of prior visits, I had one technician there directly ask me for $5 extra dollars in tips (after I tipped 20%). read more

I thought I wrote a review after our first visit, but I guess I did not. I have now been here twice and am always very happy with the experience! The technicians always seem to be in a good mood and are chatty and funny. You can tell they are very popularity; they've been around for only a year or so and their chairs are all full when you go in. They are able to make last minute appointments to fit you in and can take large groups as well. We were celebrating the first time we went and we brought some champagne and glasses and that was just fine. The owner obviously takes a lot of pride in the salon and works hard (he was my technician twice and is very precise about his work which I appreciate) and trains his employees very well. They're all very personable and detail oriented it seems. It's never really bothered me much, but I've read reviews about other salons that the technicians don't speak English and it makes the customers feel like they're being talked about. Most of the time these guys are talking with us unless there is a payment or scheduling question amongst themselves and then they don't use English, which I think is fine--keeps that customers business private. Overall great convenient location and really nice folks. This is our go-to place now! read more

I have been a regular client at Java nails for many years. During this time, I have had 2 nail technicians I'm able to schedule advance appointments consistently. One has since left Java, but Young (co-owner with his wife Lynn) does excellent work. I am much less particular about pedicures than I am about my nail services, but have been pleased with a variety of techs, most recently with Tracy. I'm always able to book an appointment that is convenient for me. The services are provided efficiently, but I've never felt rushed. From my understanding of other spa/salons pricing, Java Nails is competitive - a very good value for the cost. The facility is always clean and I've carefully observed the additional safety and hygiene practices Young and Lynn have put in place due to COVID-19 and am very confident they are going above and beyond what is required. I went to see Dung today (pronounced Young) and couldn't be more happy with my nails. I got my acrylic nails removed which he did very gently and then had a brand new full set put on. I found my new nail salon! After going to many places and being disappointed, I will definitely be back. The techs are nice, although they were busy and I was a walk in, I dud not have to wait long. Lynn did my shellac and was not only time efficient (without feeling rushed or cutting corners), she was nice, and love the shape, not too thick of polish and everything is very clean. Great mani pedi with sharp-looking results. They also informed me "I can have whatever I want" even dip with cat eye. Only three stars because there was a drunk, loud man who seems to be a regular braying about not having gotten his pedicure yet and hitting on the other customers. Why downgrade the salon for his behavior? Because the manager was there and did NOTHING to make the rest of the people in the packed salon comfortable or direct him away from demanding a phone number from the woman in the next chair. I have only recently begun getting my nails done. My nails tend to peel in layers towards the tips and I was looking for something to help protect them. I was told to try shellac manicures and after reading reviews, I decided to try Java. I got Fiona for my first ever manicure and she was awesome. I was thrilled with the results! Since then, I've tried one other place and left with dry cuticles. I'm not going anywhere else, I've always been able to get in at Java the same day I call, the staff is friendly, and Fiona is awesome. She is a great nail tech, very sweet, and will make suggestions. I'm open to it and I like her input. My nails have grown long and strong after doing the shellac manicures!
