I've stopped here from coffee from time to time and, what can I say, it's not great coffee. But lots of places don't have great coffee, and this place happens to be convenient. On the other hand, other places don't take 30 minutes to heat up a panini sandwich. I'm not sure whether the owners think that it's reasonable to wait that long for a sandwich. Maybe they think their panini sandwiches are so amazing that folks should be happy to wait 30 minutes for them. (The sandwich itself was OK -- not bad, not amazing). Here's what's *not* reasonable, though: refusing to tell your customers that they're in for this kind of wait when ordering. In every other place in the country where you can order a panini sandwich, you'll get in 5 minutes, or 10 if they're busy. Knowing this context, it's deeply irresponsible to expect your customers to wait half an hour without warning them. read more

We were pulling our camp trailer and found this to be a Great location with easy drive up access to both sides of the building. The area was well signed with driving direction arrows painted on the ground. Person who took our order was very nice & friendly asked questions about our trip. I am all for supporting small businesses and never pass up an opportunity to try new places, especially coffee. I am obsessed with iced chai lattes and let me tell you - this lil place makes a kickin' chai! I wish their sizes for iced drinks were bigger, but worth it either way! read more

We were in town visiting and needed WiFi so came in and asked if their WiFi worked before we made a purchase. The barista assured us that they had WiFi and provided us with the password which would not work. I then spoke with the manager about this and she refused to help saying it is a small town. I understand the problems of a small town I have lived in one. However she should have told us that the WiFi was not reliable. and possibly did not work instead of assuring that it did work. The manager did not offer to make any adjustment or apology. She simply acted like it wasn't her problem and she didn't care, other customers were having the same problem as us and she ignored them as well. I understand it is a coffee shop but people on vacation use coffee shops for their internet and do not want to go to a business that does not follow up on their promises of internet. read more

Stopped here in the AM on the way out of town back to NE. Was so looking forward to my latte. It was almost entirely milk, barely any espresso. It was a large, with 2 shots, I was told. Got to the car, and so disappointed when I tried it. Additionally, the milk was at the most lukewarm. I was so disappointed. We Airbnb in Fairplay on a somewhat regular basis. My large family of 17 stopped by this cafe on our way back home to TX for breakfast. As they note, this is not a fast food restaurant but us coming in and pretty much filling up their establishment a long with other customers, they took really good care of us. The service was professional and friendly. The wait time was reasonable given our large orders and the food was great. So happy we got to stop by this little gem. read more

This place has a cool little vibe. You can sit inside or outside. We all had the croissant and the bagel breakfast sandwich, bacon and sausage. They were not bad. Most went for the cold brew coffee. I suggest the toasted marshmallow, pretty tasty. Another in our group got the pumpkin spice latte and she really liked it. We did get coffee a couple times here during our stay. We popped in here a couple of weeks ago when on vacation and we were thrilled by the wonderful service and delicious breakfast. (Don't let the sign on the door put you off). We only waited 15 minutes for our food. The amazing cinnamon roll was definitely the best we've had (said all four of us). Great coffee. Indoor or outdoor seating was available. Coffee was excellent. Woke me up and had a smooth, not acidic, flavor. They had a bold roast and milder one. You have to try the egg and cheese on a Parmesan bagel. Cheese was like velveeta and bagel was so soft. They had their coffee beans for sale and indoor and outdoor seating. No wait. They are open every day which is a plus for a small town. So glad to see such a quaint coffee shop. read more

If you want good coffee don't stop here. The poor service on the first day we visited i didn't let bother me and chalked it up to a bad day. Today we came again and the service was bad and the coffee was worse. Tourist Trap! No quality control on the coffee and espresso drinks, they get your money and send you packing. If you want to spend your money (prices are steep) on microwaved frozen burritos and quite possibly the worst espresso you'll ever try, this is the place for you. If you prefer things like quality, integrity and value...don't start your day here. Locals should avoid at all costs, there is better espresso and breakfast elsewhere. read more

the owner chased with her car tried to hit me with it, she called the cops park county and lied to them saying I had thrown trash her already full dumpster. she took $40 from me because she was lying to the cops that I had dumped trash in her dumpster. wrong time at wrong, she wouldn't listen that I didn't throw the trash in her dumpster it was opened wide openEd and I closed it for her. I had eaten here before I DONt anymore because last time the young women gave me a raw muffin I DONT eat here I told the officers that, I told the owner that too and she still took $40 from me. This place looks funky and slightly eccentric. The inside decor was stimulating. The cafe latte was good , our grandson enjoyed his mango Slurpee , and the avocado toast was delicious. There were some paintings depicting mostly donkeys apparently by some local artists for sale but the moose was curiously absent. I gave this a 3-star because the choice of baked goods was limited. read more

This place is tiny. As a matter of fact, there was no room inside for us on our first attempt. But I came back later, after the crowd was gone, and sat at the counter to enjoy my cup of tea. There's a computer with Internet access, lots of local information on the bulletin board, and a variety of food options. It was a little bit more expensive than I expected, but I bet they pay a premium for supplies since deliveries have to travel a while to get to them. Staff was friendly. It seems that they are one of the few year-round businesses in the area, so they definitely fill a need in a small town. read more

We had a great lunch while driving through town. The caprese panini was delicious, just the right combo of ingredients that all tasted super fresh, and the bread was amazing. The paninis take some time to cook, but they were kind enough to microwave mine to warm it up more quickly so I didn't have to leave the pup alone in the car for too long. The staff were all very friendly and it seems like a fun coffee shop to sit and relax in during non-covid times. I'll definitely stop by again next time I'm driving through! read more

We stopped in here each day as it is right off the main road. Breakfast Burritos, Mochas and Cinnamon Rolls are fantastic. People are coming in and out all day. This place is a disorganized mess. I got in line at the window to order coffee. There was someone ahead of me. Meanwhile people were going into the building and being served ahead of us. we asked if we should order then inside and the guy said no wherever is fine we're just busy. We waited 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. We finally were able to order but the guy working came back to me twice to ask the details of my order. It was two regular coffees. This is a tiny place. They were moderately busy. Guy was yelling he needed some f@#$ing help. They had 5 ish people working. "Working" anyway. I was in the restaurant industry 10 years and I know a mess when I see it. Finally got my coffee 15 minutes later. So 25 minutes for two coffees. Let that be your guide as to whether you want to stop. Final thing was they added a 20% tip to my card without asking me. I had no idea until we were driving away. Pickings are thin out here - but still... I'm usually pretty forgiving given my history, but I'll never stop here again. read more
