Best sandwiches on the I70 corridor from Denver to Junction. Staff are always so friendly. Great baked goods too.

While driving back to Denver, I needed to pull over and let my decongestant kick in (driving…read morethrough the passes with a blocked ear is no fun!) We happened to be passing Copper Mountain, and saw a Conoco ahead. As we pulled in, we saw an adjoining coffee shop. We went in and I was immediately put at ease. There were lots of comfy seating options, and tons of natural light pouring in. I ordered a hot tea (they feature Tazo brand), then went over to sit on the big black couch across from the fireplace. They had lots of crayons and a few board game options. Lots of art on the walls, and oh, the plants! I love businesses that have love plants in them. After about 15 minutes, I was feeling better, so we hopped back in the car and got back on the road. I am so thankful for such a comfortable place to take a quick rest.

We call the number to make sure they're open since it is in between their winter and summer season, and a lot of shops are closed. We simply ask if they're open, saying we just wanted to call and make sure before going there. Very rudely the guy on the phone responds with, yea we're we ever not open? No need to get snarky on the phone, we were just asking a simple question. After reading other reviews I would not recommend anyone going there based on service and quality.

Soon the Bloody Mary made with a delicious homemade mix recipe arrived. They've tuned it up to gourmet quality! The Monte Christo was delicious too!

The hostess said no, that she had to reserve that table in case a party of seven came in. We were seated at one of the very tiny tables and it felt uncomfortable-it was clear that once our plates arrived we would need to move all the condiments from the middle of the table, and even then it would be a tight squeeze.Eventually, the round top next to us that seats five opened and we asked if we could move to that one. The hostess turned to our waitress and asked if it was OK with her if we moved. The waitress hesitated. She looked from us to the other table and back again, and then she said, "We don't usually let people move tables after they've placed their order." I want to emphasize that the restaurant was half full, and there were no people waiting to be seated. The waitress finally said, "Well, OK." It was so much more comfortable at the larger table, but that whole, strangely uncomfortable exchange threw a pall over the meal. Clearly customer service is not their concern. In the two days prior we had eaten breakfast at the Butterhorn across the street, and The Little Diner in Vail, both of which were welcoming, friendly, and accommodating, so the contrast was glaring. I ordered the Summer Corn Scramble, and it was delicious, although the accompanying hash browns tasted like they were from a frozen package, and the English muffin was not the best quality. The door handles as we entered the restaurant were grimy and I should have taken that as a cue to eat elsewhere. I will not return.
