Excellent coffee and food!! The blueberry scones are to die for! But what makes this place so wonderful and keeps me making daily visits is the cozy atmosphere downstairs perfect for small groups or two people talking while the upstairs open floor is perfect for studying both alone and in bigger groups with outlets and tables aplenty!! Plus the staff is AWESOME and super helpful and actually make pretty great friends for those who both come every day or once in a blue moon. Love the lattes and teas! The lattes have a strong, bitter, actual-coffee, espresso flavor that you won't find at Starbucks. I love this place, but I do have a few complaints. It is sometimes kind of dirty. Iky when there is food involved.. And the upstairs is almost always a sauna. I mean, c'mon, with the prices of the tea and coffee they could at least run the AC up there. Otherwise, good stuff. read more

Ok, so you'd expect alot more from a coffee shop that's been around for 20 years right? .. Not this one.. I was here last: 5 years ago, and again here today 10/24/16.. nothing has changed. The downstairs area looks nice (for the most part until you walk into the restrooms) the stairway to upstairs, and all of the upstairs area looks like it's been and is stuck in the 1980's (Java jacks cant afford a remodel?) The Menu is shockingly the same (as far as drinks ago), they havent changed their drinks, or added new ones, and no listed specials. They have NO prices listed anywhere for food or drink, so when you want to order, it's either going to be a surprise, or you have to ask them about each and every item, want whip cream? Better know its an upcharge! The driveway, no menu outside, probably never will be. Good place to get together with someone, but their prices cost more then Starbucks! Tabu coffee was great when they were here five years ago. read more

Java Jacks (or JJ's as the very cool like to call it) is an extremely decent coffee shop. Nice selection of coffees (most of which are unofficially free trade and/or organic) and they have a menu of light fare which I am too poor to have ever sampled, except for the scones which are excellent. There is a downstairs and an upstairs, both with ample seating, chess boards, a beat up scrabble game, and free wireless Internet, which rocks. There is also an upstairs balcony for nice days and a drive through. The only downsides are that the coffee can be a little strong, the place is prone to becoming overrun with either college kids studying or high school kids being loud and interrupting the college kids who are trying to study. But hey, at least it's not a Starbucks. read more

This is a great coffee house. The coffee drinks are awesome. The sandwichs are good. The ice cream is to die for!! Quaint place. We love this place and try to stop here every time we are in Nacadoches. Entire family agrees this is the best coffee house ever. Daughter says best ice cream ever. read more

Great college coffee house. The coffee is roasted perfectly and the baked scones were fantastic.

The management at this coffee shop is keen, and is receptive to customer requests. I had a complaint about not being able to receive a to-go cup for water. They were relatively quick in responding to the issue. read more

Passable coffee. Decent selection. COOL building and good study spot. (internet is pretty good) Little on the snobby side. Not overly kid friendly. Tried doing homeschool there a couple of times but we were told we were causing a disturbance because of the question and discussion nature of the lesson so we left and went to the park. (not sure if the person who complained was actually an employee or not but he represented himself to be) Just do drive thru now....but still NOT STARBUCKS, so good on that. read more

Honestly, Starbucks is so much better. Their pricing is similar to Starbucks if not a little more expensive. I've been a few times just because I was meeting other, and they wanted to meet there. There is more room to meet a small group of people and not feel crowded. read more
