We found this little gem in Nacogdoches due to their Facebook posts regarding their Blueberry Bruch scheduled for the Sunday after The Texas Blueberry Festival. It was SO good! They had everything blueberry and it was amazing. The brunch included a blueberry salsa that I was unsure of, so I only tried a little on the eggs-WOW! I went back for more! It was so fresh and the flavors really paired well. The service was awesome-everyone had a smile and greeting. There were a couple of people cleaning and picking up plates, making sure everyone had room and checking on things. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's such a cute place too! My wife and I were visiting our daughters at SFA, and one of them recommended eating here. We all loved it. My wife ordered the Jammy Sammy and raved about it all day. I ordered the Big John, and the whole table shared it (and we took some to go. I realize it was parent weekend so I do give a little grace for that but it took 45 min to get three sandwiches and they didn't come out of the kitchen all at once. This little hole in the wall was a delicious surprise! The turkey bacon club was amazingly tasty and crunchy! We also had a strawberry salad and chicken salad croissant that was also very tasty. Lastly, the lemon cupcake may have been the most delicious pastry ever! read more

This is an absolutely lovely local place where we enjoyed a turkey bacon sandwich, lemon-blueberry ice cream, a delicious lemon cupcake, a grilled chicken and blueberry salad, and their local drinks. We stopped in for a late lunch after walking downtown and oh my goodness. It was delicious! My daughter cleaned her plate. The chicken salad was a little sweeter then I usually like but I still enjoyed it. The ranch was different but really good. The fruit sides were fresh and high quality. We were staying in Nacogdoches for a couple of days and we were looking for a place for brunch. Stone House Kitchen came up on and we thought we'd give it a try. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a cute establishment located on E. Main St. in the center of town.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were greeted by a very friendly staff member. The menu offered a variety of breakfast and lunch items. We tried the breakfast sandwich and the Basil Pesto Grilled Cheese Panini. Both were amazing. I would highly recommend stopping at this café if you're traveling through this part of Texas or staying the night in Nacogdoches. Went for lunch with my daughters and we ordered soup, paid and were told a few minutes later they were out of soup. Changed to order burgers and were told they were out of burgers. Ordered coffee was cold. My daughter got a coke and it was flat. I am not exaggerating. Nice people but a big disappointment. read more

Those two stars are for the girl working behind the counter! This place is nicely decorated and evidently owned by "chef" John a retired nurse. We can only hope he was a better nurse than restaurateur. He stood at the counter wearing a CHEF T-shirt and never greeted us, it was not busy, is a small town why not greet, even a good morning or a hello. On Restaurant Impossible the decor is early the issue and at Stone House it's the same! It's always the food! The Guacamole toast: 1 skinny slice of bread only toasted on one side (quite a feat) the avocado was hard to find on the toast the smear was so light, with a small scatter of everything bagel seasoning, tasteless, not guac and definitely not something one would reorder. The breakfast panini, was well loaded with sausage, egg and bacon, a reasonable attempt but missing the taste "window" Both dishes came with a fruit plate that appears to have been made with fruit that was predominantly out of a large can. The coffee was very good. Bathrooms very nice. This place could really be a gold mine, there are few really good breakfast places in town. We hope they can do better as this was very disappointing. read more

Nice atmosphere. Staff were welcoming and attentive. Menu choice was good and food was enjoyable. Understand that a lot of their sides are cold, but in Texas heat that's ok. Their soft drink selection was awesome. May seem a little pricey, but for the serving size was worth it. Will return. read more

Besides the slow service, and odd cashier the experience was ok. Clubs dont have mustard and do have three slices of bread. The Potatoe soup was good, but very large chunks, lazy food prep. The paninis were great, toasted well, cheese melted, great flavor. They served a frap with a lid that doesnt fit, but looks fitted. It drips everywhere. "We received a bad shipment of lids" nice. The place was good enough when you cant go somewhere else. The stone kitchen seemed un prepared for the business, and required a long time to take the order, prepare and deliver the orders. The orders stream out of the kitchen not at the same time. Tables were not cleared, and they did not really bus the tables during the meal either. But wanted tips. Services iffy and the food was iffy too. It is a pretty place but not ran very well for the 1.5 hours we were there for 95 bucks for 5 then a 28% tip request. Sandwhiches, chips, waters and frap type coffee drink. Not a waitstaff place order at the counter and they bring the food eventually. read more

My girlfriend and I love to come here after the farmers market and get ether a sandwich or just breakfast. But today we came in and it's about half full inside and we get to the register and the last is almost freaking out. She tells us that there is going to be a wait and then proceeds to leave us to ask the kitchen and comes back to tell us 10 minutes. We thought that's not bad at all and wanted to still order. We tell her the meal we want as an appetizer and then our order. And she starts freaking out because I guess she has no idea what an appetizer is and she couldn't process that we wanted 3 things. Then she tells us "I'm trying to make yours order last longer so it can give the kitchen time to catch up." And I couldn't believe she said that to us. So I did her the favor of just leaving so she could focus on the 15 people that were in there. I will come back but if she's at the front counter again, I'll just turn back around and go somewhere else. read more
