Allison was a great host. Truly exceptional. Breakfast amazing, fresh, and coffee didn't need that much sugar to taste awesome.

Being in the Boston area from out of town, my girlfriend and I noticed that Dunkin' Donuts is the most prevalent quick breakfast spot. We wanted something different, so checked out Java Grind and Grill. We always try to support local businesses when we can! There wasn't much seating, but we were able to get a table quickly. We ordered our food and coffee. The coffee came quickly and was decent, not bad but not great either. It took a little while for our food to come out, but not an unbearably long time. The hash browns were soggy and the eggs were overcooked. The syrup was fake. I feel like the quality of the food could be improved, but the friendliness of the staff was appreciated. Really good iced coffee, but the woman working today had a very poor attitude. It was evident she hates her job. No acknowledgement of the customer, no smile. I also find it odd the iced coffee is stored in milk jugs. I'm sure those are hard to clean. read more

I was super excited to stop by and try a breakfast spot. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a croissant with homefries. My breakfast sandwich tasted great and it was freshly made. My homefries were microwaved so it was a little soggy and not crispy at all. I was disappointed in that because I love trying homefries from breakfast spots. I will get the breakfast sandwich again (and try their drinks, people came and only ordered their coffees) but I will skip on the homefries. read more

Honestly, I would give this place more stars, but apparently five is the limit :) We stopped by for breakfast in the middle of a road trip, so we were a little more grumpy than usual, but as soon as we walked in, our spirits were lifted considerably: the overall aesthetic of the place is very cozy, and the paintings on the walls add to its charm. The food itself was delicious; we devoured the food about as fast as they served it, which is saying something considering how quick the service is. The staff was very friendly, and they were easily able to tailor the menu items for four demanding kids. I noticed everyone had Iced coffee in 40 degree weather but being from warmer climate I needed something hot and the Snickerdoodle fit the bill. It was late in the morning and hadnt eaten yet so I decided to get the Hungry Man Special. You have to be hungry man... everything was good but the paper thin bacon. A diamond on Main Street. When looking for a place to eat in an area that I don't know, I ALWAYS use Yelp! We were an hour away from home so, we hit the app. And yesterday morning paid off big time! We found this lovely little diner and had to give it a try. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and my husband ordered the French Toast. To be honest, I never order anything sweet for breakfast. It's always savory. But sometimes exceptions need to made. Especially when you lay your eyes on the beauty of this French Toast. I couldn't help myself. I had to try it. Literally the BEST FRENCH TOAST I have ever eaten in my life. I'm kinda sad today to know that I can't just hop in my car and drive there real quick. But, we will find our way back at some point. If you live in Reading or near, and you don't go here at least once a month, you are seriously missing out on an amazing breakfast. p.s. Excellent/friendly service. Got seated, served within 20 mins. Finally a good breakfast!! I have been searching the Woburn area for over a year since moving here for a breakfast to rival my favorite spot in East Boston and I found it! I don't know how I missed this place but I stumbled accross some yelp reviews and so glad I gave it a chance. Perfect vegtable omelette, I'm not a big potato fan but they are well done. My only criticism would be only one slice of toast cut into two pieces and no turkey bacon. Other then that, the best omelette in middlesex county, hands down! Haven't tasted my coffee yet but its fresh brewed, flavored beans, no icky syrup, good flavor selection also. read more

I went here for brunch today and this place is a bit of a hidden gem. The two men working were extremely friendly and professional. They definitely go the extra mile to make sure that patrons are happy with their experience. I noticed that another customer stated that their order wasn't satisfactory when asked. The man behind the counter immediately insisted that she keep what she didn't like on that plate and he took it back and make her a fresh order right away. They have different flavored iced coffees as well. I ordered an iced snicker doodle and it was AWESOME! If I lived closer, I would come here when I wanted a coffee instead of Dunks. My friend ordered the french toast and I ordered the skinny girl - three eggs, toast, strawberries, blueberries, avocado and orange slices, which was perfect. It was also nice to see a lot of regulars come here as well. A group of older women came in (obvious regulars) and one of the men sat down and chatted with them for a while, which I thought was really sweet considering you don't see that too often in restaurants or food establishments. I would gave 5 stars for the food and only 2 stars for their service. We checked Yelp and found this place. Trying to get in last time about a month ago, but it was quite busy so we decide to come back later on. Went there today around 1 pm, it was passed busy hour already so there was only 1 table of people eating inside. While we walking in, one girl stand by the casher counter just ask quickly: What do you guys want? There were one moment I was wondering maybe it is only a take out place so we should order by the door. But people are eating there, so we just ask for the menu and walk to a table and sit down. The food are very good. We are quite happy with everything we ordered and think this can be our new favorite spot for breakfast or brunch. But we were not so satisfied with the service. The whole time the girl seems not in the good mood or mad at something, she never smiled once and everytime she brought something she just put them on the table without saying a word. Anyway I love the place, it seems really cozy and the food is good. I will come back again and maybe we just came on a wrong time today. Their food is okay, nothing to rave about. Called in an order of food around 2pm (they close at 3pm) and they called me 4x asking me where I was to pick up my food only 10 minutes later. I told them I was on the way and they were persistent on calling me every few minutes to check my ETA. I asked what the rush was and that I was driving as fast as I could and they told me they had a "doctors appointment." 1, Why make a doctors appointment during the time of your business hours? And 2, Why take my order if you're in such a rush to get out of there? Very disappointing to say the least. After this experience, it only makes sense why very few people go there/are in there the few times I have been in. What a great place! This truly is a hidden gem! From the second we walked in the door the owner made us feel at home. The atmosphere was friendly and inviting and the food was fantastic. You can literally taste the pride and passion in their food. To start, the coffee is flavor brewed... not flavored syrup. It's hard to find a lot of places that have real flavored coffee. I got a mix of French toast and chocolate marshmallow (so good!) I got the Greek Omelet (eggs, tomatoes, spinach and feta). This came with a side of home-fries and choice of toast. The omelet was cooked perfectly with an equal amount of spinach and tomatoes, and just enough feta that it wasn't over powering or to salty. Home fries were were simple golden brown, crispy on the outside. Not over powered with bacon grease or to much seasoning. The everything toast.... oh wow! Light, crispy, and airy, toasted just right with the perfect amount of butter. This is HOMEMADE in house! The flavors were just right and not overwhelming with garlic or onion flavor. My husband got the Avocado, egg, spinach and cheese sandwich on and English muffin. After seeing some pictures of this in other reviews how could we not? This did not disappoint. First, there were multiple cheese selections, not just the basic American. My husband went with pepper jack. Next, how he wanted his eggs cooked. Just to be given this option shows that they care and want you to have it your way! He went with fried egg, a little runny. Everything was cooked perfectly! This place is a definite go to! My Son and I ate here f or the first time (We live in Stoneham). I ordered the eggs Benedict and my son got the chocolate chip pancake bites. This place is a nice little hidden jem for sure. I would have given this place 5 stars but here is why I didn't. The staff here are all great. Friendly and very concerned about their customers. However, they seem a bit unorganized and overwhelmed. My server seemed very unsure of himself as if it was his first day on the job (Perhaps it was) he wasn't sure of the types of coffee they serve, and he did not put out any silverware for us. He brought my son the regular size pancakes and immediately knew it was wrong and brought them back to the chef. The Owner (I think it was the owner) brought over the correct pancakes to my son and also gave us the full size order to keep as well. He apologized and we extremely nice and friendly. These pancakes were so delicious that I overlooked the mistakes that were made. My son LOVED them, and I ended up eating half of the full-size order because they were so good. light and fluffy, with a crispy caramelized chocolate chip speckle. The eggs Benedict were equally as good. The hollandaise sauce had a unique texture to it and a mild flavor. The ham slices were thick and the eggs cooked perfectly on top of a crunchy english muffin. The home fries were just ok. They were crispy with a unique flavor. I think they may have been frozen and got freezer burn because a few bites tasted kinda funky. This place has only been open for a few months, so I think they are still working out the kinks. this place is destined for greatness. We will be returning to sample the rest of the menu. read more

I have had 2 really great experiences at Java Grind and Grill. The food is delicious and the staff are great. My two kids are very picky eaters and they loved the French toast bites, egg sandwich and muffins. The smoothies were also a big hit. The food tastes fresh and cooked just the right way. They have lots of different coffee options. They are a cash only business but they do have an atm in the restaurant. I know they are a new business and I hope people take the time to check them out.
