I visited family in Stoneham and this is their favorite breakfast place. Family owned, great diner/cafe vibe with friendly, upbeat waitstaff. The benedicts are amazing. I loved the Italian Savory, but then I also got to their their toast and housemade ricotta another day. For lunch, I had their Melanzana (Italian Eggplant) sandwich on a perfect, soft ciabatta roll. I had never heard of it, but since it was right there at the top of the menu, I figured I had to try it! Nothing bad here. Easy parking, homey vibe, and great people. We have been coming here for years. Unfortunately, today will probably be our last day. It was over 90° outside today we went for breakfast no ACs, no apologies from the waitstaff , No mention of how hot the restaurant was at all. Im not sure if it was being so uncomfortable or not but the food just wasn't the same, I ordered ice coffee but unfortunately No ice... There's is nothing worse than warm ice coffee. This is one of those places you wish you could give 10 stars lol. Well, in Boston on a girls trip I found this location as a breakfast option. When we walked in, it looked like a place where the locals frequent which to me is always a great sign. They had freshly baked muffins on the counter. We were seated promptly and the staff was very friendly. We started with one of the freshly baked corn muffins that they warmed for us on the griddle. OMG this was absolutely amazing. The breakfast was also very delicious. Very filling. Day one I had the corn beef hash. I love corn, beef hash, but this one was probably one of the best I've had in my life. They were crispy in a right way as well as still juicy again probably one of the best I've tasted. The home fries that came with the meal were delicious. The freshly squeezed orange juice was a great accompaniment to the food. We love this place so much. We came back the next morning and did it all over again with something different, but each time every single person in our party raving about what a great meal. I had the avocado toast with arugula and bacon. The bread here is just so fresh and delicious. It was a delicious avocado toast. Great find. Was looking for a good breakfast joint to replace my old place which closed out of the blue. I'm pleased to find Pignone's. It is small but the staff is friendly and there is outside seating if you want to enjoy the fresh air. Plenty of parking and the food is excellent. I had a meat lovers omelette which is not actually on the menu however the waitress knew exactly what I wanted. It was so good!! We found this place purely by accident while driving by and boy were we glad we did! Delicious, farm to table, organic food cooked by people who know what they're doing. They were able to accommodate our celiac vegetarian easily and our waitress knew what she was talking about. Most of their sauces and dressing are house made. They have a creative breakfast and lunch menu (no dinners). The avocado and roasted beet toast was out of this world. Real roasted beets (not just out of a can) with perfectly ripe avocado, a perfect amount of feta, some walnuts, arugula and a homemade honey (not over sweet) vinaigrette on two slices of a great grilled gluten free bread with many slices of avocado on the side This one was a winner. The Rachel sandwich was a turkey reuben on marble rye. Thin sliced turkey on a really good bread. The best thickly sliced coleslaw (not sauerkraut) I ever had (homemade mayo) made this an outstanding sandwich. A lot of people must like the coleslaw because when I asked to get some to go, they were sold out. I would have ordered the fresh cut fries but they cook them in beef tallow so that's a no no for me. I'll bet they were outstanding though. The homemade 7 hour cooked corned beef has had the folks as the next table raving about it. I haven't gotten excited by a breakfast lunch place in a long time but this place has me wishing I was in the area more than twice a year, just so I could eat here more often. read more

One child had chocolate chip pancakes (made in a shape of Mickey Mouse) and ate the entire plate. You would think we didn't feed her. Ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches on English muffin, one with sausage patty and American cheese, one with Ham and American cheese and a large orange juice. Unfortunately the ham and cheese that I ordered was bacon bits and no cheese, very disappointed to say the least. It was very dry and only ate half. My husband enjoyed his sandwich very much. I did call the restaurant and let them know what happened and how disappointed I was. It's right on Main St. Staff is friendly, tables are clean & not greasy, & food came out quickly. Things we liked: Decent prices & good portions!! Not too much. Not too little. Wheat toast was thick. Coffee was good for a "family style" place too. +! My friend had eggs on a cornbread toast. I hv fussy, high expectations for home fries & these lacked any seasoning but they were tender & had a crisp outer shell. So, a plus there. A side of ultra-thin & crispy bacon was a short stack, a def plus, but the bacon was mostly fat, which wasn't. I am always disappointed when cafes won't use any spices & herbs to pump up the flavor factor & opt to keep eggs & potatoes bland ... to reach more customers. But there's always Tabasco & pepper!
