This is one of those places you wish you could give 10 stars lol. Well, in Boston on a girls trip I found this location as a breakfast option. When we walked in, it looked like a place where the locals frequent which to me is always a great sign. They had freshly baked muffins on the counter. We were seated promptly and the staff was very friendly. We started with one of the freshly baked corn muffins that they warmed for us on the griddle. OMG this was absolutely amazing. The breakfast was also very delicious. Very filling. Day one I had the corn beef hash. I love corn, beef hash, but this one was probably one of the best I've had in my life. They were crispy in a right way as well as still juicy again probably one of the best I've tasted. The home fries that came with the meal were delicious. The freshly squeezed orange juice was a great accompaniment to the food. We love this place so much. We came back the next morning and did it all over again with something different, but each time every single person in our party raving about what a great meal. I had the avocado toast with arugula and bacon. The bread here is just so fresh and delicious. It was a delicious avocado toast. I wish I had one of these local but if I am in Boston, I would definitely go back

I came here with a friend last weekend for brunch. Abby, our waitress, was fantastic! She was friendly and welcoming. I got the Spartan special and the food was phenomenal. A fantastic brunch spot!

I came here with my friend for brunch on a Saturday afternoon after hiking at Middlesex Fells. I ordered the super breakfast sandwich, which came with 2 eggs, cheese, meat, and a side of home fries. I went with American cheese, ham, and had it on an English muffin. It was incredible! Simple, but every component was delicious. The menu is affordable and the staff were friendly. My friend and I both love an all-American diner, so we were very happy that we stopped by.

Intimidating menu options here: do you spring for the HOUSE-MADE ricotta toasts? Go for the corned beef hash? Maybe the New Englander sandwich? Place is a kid-friendly diner with a low price tag. Friendly staff who will never leave your coffee cup empty. Got the New Englander and loved this sandwich accompanied by extra crispy home fries, but would've preferred more of a jelly style cranberry sauce vs cream based. Definitely worth a trip and would peruse this delectable menu!

The corned beef is large chunks, not small diced pieces found in most commercial and canned hash. The potatoes, peppers, and onions gave a nice texture and flavor. I had it topped with two over medium eggs which were perfectly cooked. As I was eyeing the French toast, he gave me a single piece which included their fruit infused whipped cream and was really, really good! That might be my entree next time. My friend got the crepes and her face was doing happy expressions while she was eating. My new best friend Maria kept my coffee mug full-she visited the table frequently to make sure my mug never got low nor cold. She also took care to clean the table promptly as plates were finished. Now if my kids could learn that... oh wait, this is a diner review. The ambiance is cute and chic. There was easy access to accommodate wheel chairs and they have their menu clearly marked for gluten free available and vegan options (most of the menu). The menu is on the fancier side; they will prepare whatever someone wants (e.g. if someone just wants 2 eggs and bacon, they can easily do that). The location is on Main St. so parking is hit or miss. If you are nearby and want something good, this is a good option!

Early Harvest Diner in Wakefield, MA is a solid neighborhood breakfast spot with a…read moresmall-to-medium-sized dining room and a good amount of seating. They offer regular table seating, counter seats, and booths. The booths, however, are pretty uncomfortable--despite having a cushion, you immediately feel the wooden board underneath when you sit down, which takes away from the experience a bit. We went around 11:00 AM on a Saturday and were seated quickly with no wait, though I can imagine on a busier morning there could be a decent wait time given the diner's size. The menu has a good variety, but pricing can be a little confusing. Some menu prices don't always reflect the final cost due to fluctuating egg prices. There is a sticker noting this, but it's easy to miss and may not be obvious to customers. We ordered the steak and eggs, which came out to $20 and was cooked nicely to a true medium rare. The hash browns weren't overdone and had a great crunch on the outside. The pancake we tried was very fluffy, and their iced coffee was genuinely delicious. We also ordered the Double Double, which also cost $20 and offered a decent portion of food for the price, along with sausage links as a side. They do offer real maple syrup for waffles or pancakes, though it costs extra. One thing I found to be a flaw is that the maple syrup and ketchup on the table had no labels--personally, I like knowing the brand or ingredients of what I'm eating. The same went for the hot sauce they offered; it was served in an unlabeled glass bottle. It tasted very similar to Frank's RedHot and had the same consistency, but it would be nice to know for sure. The staff is kind and attentive when it comes to taking your order and delivering food, but once the plates hit the table, check-ins are minimal. If you need something, you may have to flag someone down. Parking isn't bad since it's located in a plaza, and there's additional parking in the back if the main lot fills up. Overall, Early Harvest Diner is a nice place to grab breakfast with your family or significant other without breaking the bank. The food quality is solid, but the vibe could benefit from a refresh to feel a bit more cozy and modern.

Our waitress was not the most pleasant but the rest of the supporting team were superb so for that reason, I'm not going to hold it against the establishment because all around the rest of our customer service experience was terrific. The food is good diner food. It's a diner so don't expect too much ambience. Just expect to be seated and to enjoy some food. I will say the food also arrived very timely. That's good to make out of. I highly recommend getting the patriot you will not regret it. It is an indulgence, but there's fruit involved so consider that Points for yourself sit down and enjoy really a nice fine.
