Usually, we will go to IHOP for breakfast but this morning we felt lazy so we decided to stay home and call for delivery. We found this place on Yelp and they have delivery( Woohoo). I ordered B4 platter ( with toast, bacon, homefries, eggs and sausage) and Santa Fe. After 20 mins, we got our orders. The homefries are perfect and tasty. I really love this place we have come here the past two weekends to have breakfast and it just gets better every time. They are so friendly and they remember you which I love. The food and coffee is great the French toast is so crunchy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside it's my favorite. My bacon and egg on a roll cost $2.99 and it was everything a quintessential New Yorker could ask for. The music is eclectic. My friend and I were the only customers in the store and the cashier at the front was half talking to us taking our order and half talking to her coworker. Now I'm all about getting the job done but I think that the customer comes first, always. She should have waited till she was taking our order to talk to her coworker. Their home fries seem to be a big hit as they were sold out buhu so I ordered an egg with cooked lox bagel which she said was a hit or miss. I like food challenges and now I know this one is not for me. The cooked lox doesn't have the smokiness that I typically like in regular smoked salmon. My go to spot for an amazing breakfast at a great price. I haven't tried much of the menu because I am a creature of habit BUT I can say that the "B4" is amazing. It's a large plate of your standard breakfast selection (eggs, toast, ham, bacon, sausage and home fries). Some places tend to fall off after a while because they get complacent but not Java Day. I'm always a little wary of places that have the food served a little too quickly but this place is definitely an exception. The plate comes out piping hot and tasting amazing every single time. The atmosphere here is very laid back. Diana is great. I'm big on the little things and Diana is on point in every aspect. If you've been here more than once, I can almost guarantee that she will remember your name and usual order. It's things like this that make people smile and keep them coming back. Parking is usually plentiful. If you wanna avoid paying for the meter, there is ample parking on the side streets.
