Again, 4 days later and gel is not looking good. Really want to like this place because are convenient, but the quality is just not there. I think regular polish would've lasted longer at a third of the price. read more

Came to JasmineSpa Nails after reading such great reviews on Yelp! Mom and I came in for mani-pedi, on a Saturday. Super busy, because they do gel extensions. Suggest you make an appointment as they're a pretty popular and busy salon. Great experience! Theydo great work and the nail artistry is superb! Thank you so much KIM for your a awesome nail art! read more

I didn't have a great experience here but I'm not gonna be a d*ck and give 1 star cus I get that it was 4th of July weekend and i was grateful to even get an appointment. HOWEVER, I really didn't appreciate the comments made in Viet saying that the designs I wanted (ombre?!?! and one finger with ocean detail) was "nonsense" and "exhausting/annoying". Surprise! I understand Vietnamese. I'd be totally fine waiting for another GelX nail tech who could replicate the pics I showed rather than first available, and admitting not knowing how to do it would be more appreciated than getting annoyed that my set was taking so long. While she was doing the ocean I politely reminded her that I wanted it diagonal/slanted like the pic that was visible on my phone the entire time. She said she knew and that she would blend it that way but it ended up being ...not. After that design I decided to just completely forgo the flowers I wanted on 3 other fingers. Thumb had to be redone and another finger is pretty unevenly shaped, amongst so many other things, but towards the end I was like f it, people are waiting and it's not gonna be what I want anyway. Overall, I expected more from seeing such pretty nails on Yelp and doing extensive research on salons in the area. My pedi looks great though -- I had Natalie for my toes. She didn't try to upsell me on the other pedi packages even when I expressed interest since she said my feet are soft and don't need it. TLDR; didn't get the nails I wanted for my Hawaii trip/birthday and pretty upsetting experience. read more

This is the first time that I have had a manicure or a pedicure. My nephew is getting married this weekend, so it was time. The techs did an amazing job. My poor toenails were a bit distorted from years of a mild fungus infection. No problem! Now my toenails are gelled a cherry red. My fingernails are exactly right: a pale pink. The techs were very friendly. This will not be my last mani-pedi. I have found my new home salon! read more

I am a Jasmine faithful! 5 years as a client and still leaving after my manicures/pedicures completely blown away with their artistic abilities, cleanliness, professionalism, and I will never get over the fact that my nails stay perfect until my next set (sometimes months!). Over all I am surprised this place is so rated high. I was rather disappointed to say I came in right at 10;00am opening and informed the nice gentleman whom later I learned his name is Sam that I'm from out of town flew in for a wedding and wondering if someone would be available to paint mani pedi regular only gel not needed. They said no problem! And Without any hesitation. I did mention that I am going to church ceremony at 12:00 around the corner, and would that work. I was promptly seated in the massage pedicure chair and I was immediately assisted by friendly staff to work on my toes. After that she left to greet others and worked on them. Somewhere along the line I noticed as I sat and waited others coming in, some mentioned they have appointment and others responded no they are walk ins. This place squeezed every walk in that day. I say toes all done beautifully wishing I could leave soon perhaps grab a quick bit even. I remained patience since massage chair is working fine and checking out my emails, no problem. To my dismay the few who came after me for pedicure actually walked out before me... Then upon inquiring the owner told Sam to stop and assist me instead. Sam seemed nervous as he knew he was ordered to work on someone else. He seemed bit disrespected by the owner as she ordered people around a bit in a short condescending voice. Sam reluctantly worked on my fingernails. He seemed jittery, broke out in sweats and insisted he has a white nail polish bottle. I was hoping to use OPI instead. As it turned out I wish I had spoken up and stay firmed on request for opi. His bottle white polish seemed running low and thick. He applied generously to the point the pain overflowed from by nails onto skins. However it was thick. He assured he would use a brush to clean edges off so I should not be concerned. Well after the second coat applied, it's more clear that it's getting thicker and warping thick. Looked like I did it myself with my left awkward hands or a child painted my nails. I did brave up and told the female staff of the concerns and I wish to have thick pain removed. She spoke to owner and began to remove the tick coating off all ten fingers. Sam, super nice offered me water bottles etc, but honestly not really good at clipping cuticles nor painting. Maybe he was just off. Overall I wish I braved up and stopped sam's painting sooner. What a sad experience as I was really looking forward to giving glowing reviews. The lady who worked on my toes 5 stars'. Sam 1star is any. After the redo by female staff I barely made it to church so that shows how long the visit was. I still tipped $10 in good faith as possibly he just had an off day. read more

I haven't had my nails done in over a year and it was about time I treated myself! This was my friend and my first time here and both of our first time getting gel x extensions and we both loved the work that was done on our nails. Annie did my short stiletto nails and she really shaped them exactly how I wanted. Not too long or too pointy. They were just right! I was also torn with which nude color to get as they have a great variety of beautiful colors (other places I can't ever find the color I want). It was so hard to choose but she helped me choose a really soft pinkish beige color. I was really impressed how fast Annie did my nails. 3 color coats with a clear coat and she was done! And very perfectly done! She always made sure I was satisfied with my nails at each step of the way. She also designed a nice stud accent nail. I also got a pedicure that was also done fast but still nicely done. Definitely recommend Annie and definitely will be coming back! read more

2ND UPDATE: I do not think I will be returning here. It's a shame because they do such a good job on gel extensions but that's about it. Upon further inspection of my pedicure, they didn't even paint the very tip of my nails making them look chipped when they were just done poorly. I hope that Jasmine Spa Nails steps up their consistency because I continue to have different experiences and it's just not worth the chance. I came back to Jasmine Spa Nails recently and wanted to update my review. I still really do like this place, but I'm taking off one star for an increase in prices and lack of quality with their manicures. Gel extension with a shape (I got coffin) is now $45 and that does not include a manicure - that's $5 extra. I need my cuticles trimmed and last time even getting a regular gel manicure I had a lot of issues with my cuticles. They do an AMAZING job on the nails. My gel extension set done by Hailey is exactly what I had envisioned and she was extremely attentive to detail. I opted not to pay the $5 extra for the manicure. My friend who was with me did get a manicure and it wasn't the best job either. Hopefully they pay more attention to manicuring the nails in the future! I do really love this spot and want to keep coming here regularly, but I need my nail beds to look just as good as my nail design. read more

I'm leaving this rating for Annie, my nail tech who did a great job. I payed $110 total ($50 for cost of nails itself) not including tip for gel nail extensions. I gave Annie my reference photo and got exactly what I wanted, she did take some liberties but it was just part of the artistry. Annie was very thorough and meticulous, she really does a great job making sure every step of the process is done with care. It was my first time getting gel nail extensions, when I told Annie that she took the time to explain each step she was doing which made me much more comfortable. She even stayed past closing to finish my nails and didn't rush the process. I would definitely book again with her. read more

This was my first time getting my nails done since the stay-at-home order/COVID and my first time here ever. I was very impressed with both their quality of service and their safeguards against COVID. Everyone wore masks and only took appointments, which also limited the amount of people in the salon. They took my temperature as I came in and I was asked to wash my hands. I also saw them constantly sanitizing all the stations as well as all their tools before and after they were finished. Their quality of service was just as great as I had read from previous Yelp reviews. I had a pedicure done as another person worked on my gel extensions. I was having problems with two of my toes and they did what they could to help relieve some of the discomfort I had been feeling before arriving. I had given them a picture for the nail design as my inspo and one worked on shaping my nails and Annie then came to work on the design after. And it came out just like i I was very happy with all of their work and I will definitely be coming back. Yes prices are a bitttt on the high side but you do get what you pay for! Everything came our exactly as I wanted. read more

Jasmine Spa Nails - Gel extensions with a French tip twist, design by Annie! - Waxing Near Me - Pasadena, California

I made an appointment but when I walked in, there was no one there to check me in. Instead, there was a line of women seated and waiting for service, in addition to what I discovered was a very small and packed salon. It was my first experience with this particular salon and it was disappointing. After stating to a tech that I had an appointment, I was met with awkward stares and what felt like a generally unwelcoming climate. So I left and called another salon. I was fortunate to find another nail salon in Pasadena, just 10 minutes later and to be welcomed and seen efficiently there. Jasmine is located in a crowded strip mall and isn't very modern in appearance or customer service. The salon I ended up going to had check in via iPad and was very clean and much larger in size. I also felt welcomed by the staff and other patrons - which is very important. The staff at the other salon also made a serious effort to connect with me and to be sure that I was satisfied with my service and it was much appreciated. I wouldn't recommend Jasmine Spa Nails for anyone looking for a sophisticated nail spa experience. read more

I had a nice experience here the first time I came but it has been awful since. The last time I came in, the technician cut my pinky finger with a nail file because she wasn't paying attention. The mani and pedi itself were poorly done. It was bumpy, color was inconsistent, and my gel manicure didn't last long. I came here 3-4 times wanting to like it because of the great reviews and because I had a great first experience. I won't be coming back anymore. read more

Great nail salons are hard to come by in Pasadena even though we have so many but this one gets the job done for the right price and cleanliness! It definitely gets busy on weeknights and leading into the weekend but I've found the sweet spot for appointments to be weekend mornings. Nothing super luxe and fancy but gets the job done and you're in and out quick! I paid $30 for a gel manicure (complimentary removal) and $25 for a pedicure in a massage chair with callus removal. FYI there's an additional $2 charge if you want more than one "party nail" (see photo). They also have a stamp card for $5 off your 6th visit. I've come in with photos of nail art and they've matched it every time! read more

I came here for the first time today. I made an appointment at 1:30 with Joyce because I had heard good things about her from a friend. I walked in at 1:30 and they had given my appointment to someone else. I waited for 20 minutes and finally asked someone when Joyce would be done and they said 30 more minutes. That would have been 50 minutes of waiting to get my nails done and I HAD an appointment. I asked for someone else to do my nails instead. The person that was assigned to me did not seem like she had a lot of experience with doing nails and I didn't love them at the end. Would not come back here again. read more

There is only one good nail place in LA and it is in Pasadena, by the name of Jasmine Spa Nails. Frankly I'm disappointed in myself for leaving this review in draft for nearly 2 years!!! Hope the amount of referrals I've brought in speaks for themselves $$$. The shop is run very efficiently by a very chill and modern husband and wife duo. I love them both so much. Yes sometimes you have to wait, but there's a boba shop next door with delicious popcorn fish so bring your laptop and get your expenses done or something. It's worth the wait. Their gel extensions are the best and after 6 months of nurturing my nails with them, I now no longer need extensions of any sort. My nails are long, strong, and always perfectly shaped I don't normally get crazy designs so I can't speak for that. But what I do know is that they know what they're doing and I get complimented on my nails every single day. read more

Not to mention i'm pretty indecisive so having nail technicians that are really up to date with trends and have an artistic eye is such a nice feeling. Really disappointed with the craftsmanship here. Just had a new set of gel extensions by Ilene and the edges are so uneven. Parts of the thumb nail show the fake nail. The ring finger of the right hand looks like it was done a week ago. I feel like I wasted my money. Won't be returning. See attached pics. Pedicure by Hoa was uncomfortable and her work was sloppy. No doubt about giving this salon a 5/5. Heidi always takes the best care of me and my nails! She is the absolute best!
