I am so glad I found Kelly / Jasmine Spa!! I woke up one day with an awful crick in my neck and needed a massage asap. Thankfully, Kelly was available the same day and she saved me! I felt so much better after the massage and within 3 days, my neck was fully mobile and 0 pain which is actually amazing because almost every single time, I leave a massage and feel like my pain doesn't fully go away. She gave me a whole plan and told me when to come back and how frequently, to fix my neck. My next appointment, she suggested I do cupping so I tried it for the first time. I had been having shoulder pain for about 2-3 months, I think from working out, and it hurt to lift my arm up. I've never done cupping before but now I'm a full believer because it seriously cured my shoulder pain!!!! Again, in a couple days it was completely gone and also fully mobile again. If you love real deep tissue work--the kind that makes you realize just how much tension you've been carrying--she's the one to see. I go get massages a lot. And I've tried every kind you can imagine. Shiatsu, deep tissue, reflexology, Chinese cupping, sports massage, lymphatic massage, Thai massage, Swedish massage, etc. There are several establishments in the Herndon/Reston area that I frequent most often. Jasmine Spa is part of that rotation when I need a deep tissue massage. I sit at a desk all day working on a computer. So I have chronic, painful, stiff neck and shoulders pretty much all the time. Once every couple months I go to Kelly at Jasmine Spa because she's the best at getting in there really deep and loosening the muscles. If you're not used to having deep tissue massage, it's a painful type of massage. But the pain you feel while the therapist is getting deep into your muscle pales in comparison to the relief you feel after. So while I don't recommend this for everyone because not everyone enjoys that type of massage, I do recommend this to anyone who can handle deep tissue massage because Kelly is the best I've tried. Don't let her small size or gentle voice fool you. Kelly gives the strongest massage I've ever felt. It's as if she is reaching into my soul and pushing out the irregularities within my body. On top of that, Jasmine Spa isn't too expensive so you really get your money's worth. I have been receiving deep tissue massage from Michelle and I truly recommend her since she is a true gem! Her pressure is very strong and extremely precise on every single pressure point. There is not a single waste of strokes nor with her time allocation and it's amazing how precise she is with each pressure point. I have been to deep massages that were just painful and not relaxing, but she can customize each massage session and adjust her strength by constantly checking in to see whether you are satisfied and comfortable with her strength. Kelly is a muscle pain exorcist! Best and most intense deep tissue massage I've ever had! I've tried many local massage establishments but none have pulled the tension from my body like the 60 minute deep tissue massage I had today at Jasmine Spa. She pushed me to my limit, and for great benefit. Ive had a history of back problems, sit at a desk all day and weight train about 4 times a week, so the wear and tear on my lower back builds up a lot over time. Her amazing work did the trick! I was in town on vacation after a work trip and was pleasantly surprised they had an opening on short notice. Ample parking, clean room, easy check-in. Kelly was fantastic, it's obvious she went to school and is skilled in massage. I had a deep tissue massage. It's totally normal to feel a little tender after this type of massage, as it isn't a gentler Swedish massage. Some of the reviews indicating the pressure was too great may not have known what to expect and it's a bit unfair to fault the therapist. If you're unfamiliar with massage, definitely ask her about the different types and I'm sure they'd be able to find something you'd be happy with. I'm not sure who worked on me as there was no introduction, but by the description, probably Kelly. Her approach is way too rough for me. She asked me the key areas I had trouble with, then proceeded to use feet + knuckles for pretty much everywhere, which is just too much for my body. I told her several times it was too much, to which she just answered 'breathe.' I had to actually grab her hand to stop what she was doing several times as I was having trouble breathing and was physically shirking away. I can appreciate people who love a pain-is-good massage, but a professional needs to recognize that when the client is physically shirking to avoid that spot being touched, their movement is too much. I wasn't offered any water, either--I didn't even see any cups to get some for myself. I will not be back. For those who do go, note that credit cards get 3% added as a courtesy fee. And for what it's worth--my neck pain is still there, but actually feels worse. I see a few days of motrin in my future. read more

9/25/19 Okay, just got done looking at the Jasmine Massage on Yelp, but saw no listings for the styles of massage or her prices. Jasmine's does have a website, but it's for Go Daddy and the listings are for other massage places and not hers...check it out...massageherndonva.com. I called up Jasmine, but she sounded weary with a hint of suspicion in her voice. I was asking legitimate questions...not salacious ones. I suspect Jasmine gets a lot of salacious questions. Jasmine told me her business does Deep Tissue Massage, Thai Massage and Hot Stone. $70 Dollars is what I heard her talk about, but if you have more questions, either call her or go to her office, because her website is non-existent. I am still willing to give this place a try. Maybe Jasmine was having a bad day or something was on her mind at the time I called her. It can happen. I do hope she gets her website updated. This will answer a lot of unnessasary questions about her business. As of now, 3 Stars... Oh, they do WAXING too?!...I will have to take them up on that. Need to find the list of prices too. It wasn't an enjoyable experience for me. I was looking more for some relaxation and a soothing massage but what I got was a football player post game deep painful tissue massage. I asked several times for more gentle massage and she kept telling me "it's ok" I really didn't enjoy this. 2 days after the massage I was in so much pain I felt like I was in a car accident. I even had bruises on my upper back. I almost went to the hospital because I thought maybe she broke my back. I gave 3 stars because they were able to see me when I asked. Well, quite honestly I was crying for most of it. That was one of the most painful "massages" I have ever experienced. I have had softer ones where I usually fall asleep. Today, I could hardly relax. But you know what? It was WORTH it. The relaxing ones (obviously in different locations) usually left me feeling sore after and I just felt horrible. This time, she kicked my butt and knocked out ALL my knots but I have never felt more refreshed. When she was done, I didn't even know where I was. She pressed out all the toxins. It was amazing. And obviously, I needed it. She told me to breathe and as much as I complained, she told me to trust her and I did. All the aches and pains I had before walking in were completely gone. I've always had several stubborn knots around my lower trapezius muscles. They're likely from a combination of a sedentary job that requires a lot of desk-time, less-than-perfect posture, and lifting/working out. Last week, I got the thrashing of my life with Kelly. She used her elbow, knuckles, fists and forearms, walked on my back, using her heels, balls of her feet and toes to dig, smush, and kneading away some of the most stubborn knots I've ever had. She was merciless, shushing away my groans with "just breathe...". Honestly, I've never felt so beaten up by a masseuse. The day after was a study in muscle pain. Two days later, I went out for a run, and I could still feel some remnants of pain in my muscles. So why 5-stars? BECAUSE EVERY SINGLE KNOT SHE TARGETED WAS GONE... AND HAS STAYED GONE. Great massage today by Kelly. She worked on the knots and tension spots of my body. This will now be my go to place for my massage.

This is not a review on the quality of massage provided, but rather their customer service overall. I had booked an appointment about 5 days in advance. Then 3 days prior, called and asked if we could move it to the prior day because I now had a conflict on the day of the appointment. No problem. Again, more that 48 hours prior the original appointment. On the day of the appointment, a couple of hours beforehand, I realized that it was going to have to haul ass from Rockville to get to Herndon in time, so I called to explain I was at risk of being late, and to be safe was it possible to push it out 30 minutes. The woman who answered the phone shouted something unintelligible at me then hung up. I called back, said you just hung up on me, and that I was merely asking if it was possible postpone 30 minutes. If necessary I would end my meeting early and head straight there. She said no, she already gave my appointment away. I confirmed, you cancelled on me because I asked if it was possible to delay 30 minutes? Yes. This is "Soup Nazi" kind of b.s. which made me glad she cancelled on me, as I am sure the massage would be lousy. Will obviously avoid. I then called Chaan Thai Massage, who was able to accommodate me that evening and provided excellent service. AVOID this place. Go to Chaan Thai Massage if looking for massage in Herndon. read more
