I think I would prefer mozzarella to the cheese blend (the menu clearly indicates this, it wasn't a surprise) and might see if they can substitute it next time but did want to try it the way they intended to serve it. I think it's a really good value price-wise for an 18" specialty pizza under $20 when other good pizzas are smaller and more expensive.

They have a big menu of grinders/subs too, but I wanted to try the pizza. The pizzas are all the same size - about 10 inches, enough for one hungry person or to share with a friend. The crust is crunchy on bottom and melty and soft with cheese and toppings on top. You can get one topping at a time adhoc, or pick a specialty - I got the veggie pizza - olives, peppers, tomato, onion. Delicious! Service was fast and helpful for newbie. Good for any size or age group. Recommended!

I was surprised that when I picked it up, there were two full pizza boxes. The pizza is a fried Sicilian, not too thick, with tasty sauce and cheese and lots of onions. (You can also order without onions.) The slices on the edges and corners are the best! Very good pizza . About $34 for a full tray. The only negatives are that it is takeout and cash only. Give it a try and I think you'll like this different method of preparing a pizza.

Thin crust and crushable, but still sturdy with substance to it. The cheese/traditional sauce was flavorful and outstanding right out of the oven piping hot. I got half pepperoni, but in my opinion this pizza is so good it needs no help with toppings. Next time I will stick to a plain cheese pie and might try the sweet sauce. I highly recommend skipping the takeout if you can and eating this there in their cozy restaurant right out of the oven. Perfection. For context, I'm a pizza snob and tough grader. My local faves are Sabatini's and Pizza L'Oven in Exeter pending what style I'm in the mood for. Whistle Stop was outstanding and every bit as good as the best NEPA has to offer. I'm not a score guy, but if pushed it was easily 9 out of 10. On the Portnoy scale, I bet he would give it mid 8's. Maybe upper 8's or better.

I ordered a slice of cheese and a white slice with broccoli. Both were of decent size, and were warmed in the oven before serving. The cheese slice was absolutely delicious, man I missed pizza like this, I cannot get it where I live now. It was hot, greasy as a good cheese slice should be, but not overly so, the crust was thin but crisp, with excellent texture and chew. The white slice wasn't as good, but still delicious and quite hearty. It had cooled a bit so that was a factor, had it been as hot as the cheese slice, I'm sure it would have been truly excellent. Service was friendly and efficient, I highly recommend this place if you're in the area.
