So I took my mom and myself to a new dentist. We don't have to tolerate abuse and be LIED to by the dentist himself. First off he told my 86 yr old mother that she need her 4 bottom front teeth pulled and a plate with teeth to wear. WRONG! Our new dentist shook his head and said....NOPE! I'm so glad you came to me. A good deep cleaning will secure those teeth because her jaw bone is just fine! Now I've also been complaining about a crown he put on one of my molars. The day after getting it I noticed it kept hurting so I ran my tongue across the back of it. There's a opening between the cap and my gums where food is getting in....SMH! I told dentist at Jangs and he had the nerve to tell me just to keep it clean and use a toothpick to pull food out! I knew he was full of it. Even our new dentist said its a ill fitting crown which he took pictures of and is submitting them to have it replaced and show them what Dr Jangs office did to me. I kept telling Jangs office that the crown wasn't right. I should have to be in pain after getting a cemrown and I definitely shouldn't be getting food in an opening! Then he yanked some of my teeth telling me they couldn't be saved and crowns were denied. Crown were denied because they could have been saved and I realized that when he had the audacity to ask me....." Don't you want dentures?" Fuck no....do you? Then they kept trying to push us to get my mom's teeth yanked....NOPE! Plus I waited about 2 months to where they were supposed to submit the paperwork for approval for my mom's work and heard nothing. So I would call only to have that bitch that sits in front be rude. She's lucky I bit my tongue quite a few time because she doesn't realize she playing with fire. 2 of the ladies that work up front need a good ass whipping and one day someone is gonna give it to them. I told the one who submits all the paperwork to her face after she had the nerve to be rude to me on the phone that she better never talk to me like I'm her 5 year old child again. Watch out people! Lots of scamming going on at this dental office. Money hungry and they don't care who's mouth they ruin....because they ruined mine and ALMOST my mom's. Its sad how people complain about some of the staff up front and nothing is EVER done about it. Even a few of the girls that work in the back said their very rude to clients. Please look up Bliss Dental Products. I healed 2 cavities with their mineral toothpaste plus healed my receding gums with the gum massage treatment. The staff didn't make me feel like a valued patient at all. They were not friendly and the appointment felt rushed. Then the dentist came in and spent about 4 minutes with me and left without making it clear what the plan was. Dr. Jang and his associates and staff are professional and welcoming, and technically, he is a great dentist as well. I have had an implant and several crowns replaced, and all are holding well. He is also affordable. He only charges half of what Bay Area dentists were asking for an implant, and that comes with an in-office CT scan to determine the viability for an implant for insurance approval - and you don't have to leave the country or risk your health for the affordable price! You just have to get to Barstow (a 2-1/2 hr drive or bus ride from Las Vegas or L.A., or an hour drive from Ontario airport). His office manager is a genius at getting the insurance companies to cover their share. I always owe less than anticipated. Apparently they put me on hold and went to lunch. i didn't see them changing gloves as I even saw one of the drs go from one patient to another never changing gloves . Love the friendly staff and how updated their equipment was. Very clean bathroom and rooms for everyone. They even have a game room in the back for kids to entertain. The doctor explained what needs to be done and make sure we understand what to expect. They're experts with dental works you can tell by the works they do here . Dr. Jang offers nice facade; clean office, staff is professional, well groomed. it's a thriving Medicare practice. You expect top care. I started treatment. I fell prey to their game. A loser like me was lucky to get free treatment, not entitled to explanations. I did as I was told. But the way I went through treatment seemed suspect. it made me think back to visits with dentists in the past. Every denist was at the ready with the exrays the first visit , had me there to see what was going on. We discussed options. Back then I had coverage. With Medicare and the state of my mouth I realized all I had was this. I felt like trash every time I went in. I was desperate for new teeth. I couldnt piece it all together then but Dr Jang did things that amounted to fraud Why such a long time to do whatever we were doing? Why a girl who clearly lacked skills was assigned to ex rays that took 3 visitShe was jamming things in my mouth like a monkey. I didn't want to discourage her so I sucked it up . It took months with an appointment every two weeks before I was done. I wondered why these were made for mistakes and pointless reasons I waited hours for. He came around a few times to work but most visits were pointless He pulled out a few of the bottom molars during one exam . They were likely a problem, I was impressed by this extraction. Tooth was problematic; but out with little pain, Jang is a genius with needles full of Novocain. It negated doubts I overlooked his lack of consultation and settled for " There is a lot going on there." He knew what he was doing. With my front teeth crumbling in my neglected, I knew what I looked like. Some druggie living on the dole with low intellect. I wasn't what they thought, but if I was didn't I deserve decent dental work too? My leg was crushed, I stayed months in the hospital then two years in a wheel chair, leaving me without the calcium and vitamins to keep the teeth strong. No dental covered where I lived I moved and got dental that told me why I was losing the teeth so quickly, we talked about partials. problem on mend . Then the pandemic hit. When I got to Jangs, I wasn't expecting miracles. i was losing my front teeth. There were molars left, a possibility for Partials I thought while he was mumbling something about an aversion to take teeth. I never was consulted about treatment. We did as he asked They recommended him, I ignored their bad grills. I went in to wait for months. No plan. Though I came for exams every two weeks, little was done or said to me. I came to these appointment , spent an hour in the waiting room then another hour In chair Then someone made a mold or a fitting ; five minutes later I was gone. Assistants stood around awkwardly, put the wrap around me and fidgeted. I asked why I was there. They had no idea. They asked in back and came back to make a mess with mold mixture. I could hear Jang in the quiet office with other employees talking and laughing in their own language. At one point I was asked to write a review of his office. This is when I was getting frustrated with the lack of information. I praised the office. I had one complaint to offer. No consultation. I'd been there jthat afternoon for one. Jang evaded The review was up less than hour before Dr. Jang himself answered with effusive apologies-- he said he'd been on vacation. I expected to have a talk when I returned for my next exam. His vacation nagging at me. Maybe I mixed him up with another guy. As soon as I arrived I was sent back with a older woman who treated me as if she were a prison matron leading an unruly inmate to the hole. She sat me down , loomed above with menace. She told me Jang was there-- on what day? We argued, clearly pointless ; she'd be there to support any lie. It implied no one would believe me. She was right. I accepted the form she shoved in my face saw neat writing of being consulted in fresh ink.. I scribbled something that wasn't my signature. Nurse Ratched marched off in victory. I should've left then but I would get no where with Medical. Two girls came in, looked in mouth with brazen disgust. More molds that I moaned and squirm through as they produced blobs to toss on the table. When they tried it again, I said, No more. They scampered away. I went out For my next appointment. Next time Jang came around I spoke of implants. " Not for you." It sound like an indictment. I tried to explain grants, but he started putting tools in my mouth. He yanked one tooth. I never agreed to the whole mouth, but expected he'd pull them all, I wanted this over. An older man sitting behind the reception scoldEd me as I left."You come on time. " "Show up" I was never late and called in once because of cold sore He looked at me like something he stepped in. One day I came in and Jang started yanking out tooth. The staff are friendly and caring just a all out very good dentist. I couldn't feel the shots to numb me and the people who worked on my mouth were very gentle it's just the best dentist office I have been to when they were working on me they didn't want me to feel pain. Once you are taken back , the whole vibe just changes and they make you feel so Welcomed ! Stephanie was so amazing. She took very good care of me. I came to this dentist for a tiny cavity and a cleaning. I was seen for a consultation and then rescheduled to fill my cavity for a month away. Fast forward to my appointment today and I go in and they tell me that they didn't "save my appointment" and the soonest they could see me would be June 11th. They did offer to clean my teeth today but I declined because I really just want my cavity filled before it gets worse. Super unprofessional, everyone I know says great things about this place but I just haven't had the same experience. Looks like I'll be finding a new dentist. read more
