Amazing location, beachside by Newport Beach! The desserts are nostalgic and delicious. I got a hot fudge sundae with cookie dough. The ice cream was creamy and the cookie dough added a nice texture and sweetness. The hot fudge was smooth and heated perfectly. The service was fast and it was great being able to eat the sundae on the pier! read more

Good location right by the beach and a part of Newport's nightlife scene, but the food was mediocre. I tried the Chili Cheese Fries and Cheese Dog. -I was not a fan of the Chili Cheese Fries. The review pictures showcased saucier fries that did not match what I received. There was not as much cheese as I hoped for and even less chili. There was a moderate amount of fries. -The Cheese Dog was small but mighty. It's handcrafted, they make it in front of you. The dog featured cheese pulls and was delicious! -Moderate prices. -I was here at 10pm on a weekend. The area was busy and it was moderately difficult to find parking. -TIP: Park further down the street, not in the beachside parking lot. Less pedestrians and more parking spaces. -The business was somewhat busy, food came out at a moderate pace. -There is no seating here, only a small bench outside. read more

Jane's Corndogs - Chili Cheese Fries (I added extra powder) & Cheese Dog - Food Stands Near Me - Newport Beach, California

Must try! We had a corn dog and cheese on a stick (pepper jack, maybe). So, so delicious. Store was kind of dirty, cluttery, old. Employees were just randos who weren't super friendly or welcoming. In fact, it took like 60-90 seconds before I even saw an employee. Get one. read more

This place has gone downhill. I'm sorry to say that I won't come back. I used to really enjoy the chili cheese fries here back in the day!! I miss the old fries, taste etc. I paid $10.00 for those and it was not worth it. Such a shame. It was gloopy soup in a small box with super soggy fries that were not crispy. I would not recommend. read more

My friends and I were hanging out in Newport Beach on a Sunday night. Caught by my surprise it was super packed at the Newport Beach Pier. After we spent time at a bar, we got super hungry. We didn't want anything too big. Just something to snack on. Came across Jane's Corn dogs and let me tell you it hit the spot. For $6 it was worth every penny. You can't go wrong with an all beef corn dog. The batter was super tasty with a little crunch while the beef hot dog is juicy inside. Perfect for a midnight snack. Service was quick and I'm excited to revisit when I'm back in Newport Beach. read more

Best corn dog ever... here's why: I've been coming here since high school, so this place has been around for a long time and it's still one of my favorite quick stops in Newport. Look at the pictures. This corn dog comes out perfectly golden brown with that deep fried batter all the way around. When you bite into it the outside has that crisp crunch, but the inside is soft and fluffy like fresh cornmeal batter should be. The hot dog in the middle is juicy and cooked just right, and the whole thing is big too, not one of those skinny little ones you get at other places. If you want to dress it up, they've got a little condiment station where you can load it up however you want. Ketchup, relish, mustard, onions, jalapeños, different spices, all that kind of stuff. What I also like about this place is they've got everything. hot dogs, funnel cakes, banana splits, all the classic snack stand stuff. Perfect spot when you're walking around Newport and want something quick that actually tastes great. If you're in Newport Beach and craving a real old school corn dog, this place is hard to beat. read more

This place is a relic from the past and it's positively adorable! I was craving a chocolate covered banana and they have so many fattening treats here! If you want to eat healthy, they have popcorn! I'm sure it's more fun in the summertime. It's super cool and retro. read more

We were walking around after dinner and there was a long line for the other ice cream shop so we came across this one. About 2 people in front of us but they were quick to get their corn dogs and funnel cake so we were able to order quickly. My son got 2 scoops of chocolate ice cream and was content with the serving size. He actually liked this ice cream better than the competition around the corner because he said their ice cream melts too fast. He said he would definitely go back for ice cream here. Next time I will try the funnel cake. read more

I stopped by Jane's Corndog Stand last night and unfortunately had a pretty disappointing experience. My group and I walked in and spent about 2 minutes looking over the menu, trying to decide what to order. Without any warning or polite notice, an employee abruptly shouted "we are closed" at us and told us to leave. The tone came off as rude and unwelcoming, especially since no one had mentioned they were closing when we first walked in. I completely understand businesses needing to close at a certain time, but a simple and courteous heads-up would have made a big difference. The interaction left a negative impression, and I hope they can improve how they communicate with customers in the future. read more

Awful people working here. The cashier with his AirPods in was mocking my child with Austim. This is inexcusable

Not worth $5 for a microwave corn dog. Also, the discrimination was sickening. For one, there were no signs saying cash only. And we noticed people prior to and after us paying with card/tap. they clearly have a debit machine that says they take square, both at the register and outside in the door. but after we ordered, after we got our food, for us, the cashier said cash only. We had to go to the ATM outside to get cash out. When asked why the people before us paid with their card, he said "no, for YOU, cash". & continued to ignore our questions for his reasoning. Not sure what his reason was to single us out, but that mixed with the terrible customer service. For food that was not worth it. Would not spend my money here again. read more

This place is the bomb! Located at the Newport Beach Pier right next to the chili restaurant. You can park and pay for parking or park somewhere else and walk down. They have a variety of snacks and small foods here: ice cream, frozen banana, corn dogs, hot dogs, fries, etc. The corndogs cost $5 for one and I paid cash. No tax was added while paying cash so that was great. You can find a ketchup and mustard dispenser along side the window with some napkins. They make the corndogs fresh and they're really good! I would definitely come back to try their other treats. They accept card, unsure about apple pay, but cash seems to be the way to go if you want to avoid the tax. read more

I recommended this place to friends and we were all excited to go. I ordered first and the cashier said they were out of corn dogs so I ordered something else. I had enjoyed this place in the past but after this experience I will not be back. read more

Would be 5 stars but they ran out of funnel cakes. However it was close to closing time so I look forward to my next visit

please don't serve milk tea AT ALL if you guys don't make it good. places like these are why i'm a firm believer that random shops shouldn't sell milk tea + boba if they're gonna treat it like it's pure sugar milk. i had the unfortunate experience of getting milk tea here, and aside from their limited selection, THEY ONLY HAD ONE FLAVOR ACTUALLY AVAILABLE. and not only that i noticed that the workers just pull out a premix out of the fridge and put it in a cup. this caught my eye after i asked the worker to adjust the sweetness, and he just told me they can't do that, but tried adding "milk" to it just for it to taste like straight sugar. this is just odd to me as milk tea is literally tea, so it's supposed to taste like it especially if the tea part is what i want! not only that but the boba wasn't even fresh; it felt like i was biting into tiny black gumballs. i really tried to be optimistic about this place besides all of these red flags, hit if you're an enjoyer of milk tea and boba, this place is not for you. i encourage to take a detour to the nearest boba shop as this place is not it read more

the best spot on the newport beach for food. some homeless people hang around there, but the corn dogs are the best i've ever had.

Overall: 6/10, nice for latenight snack but steep for the food, if you're a couple drinks in it'll be really good though. If you're sober, it's just really mid. Good, definitely not great, but most certainly not worth $5 for a corndog (I might not be educated on price of corn dogs). Went there pretty late, around like 12:30am, had no line or anything and got 2 corndogs for $10.50 so $5.25 per corndog. Food tasted like it was kept under a warm light, definitely not fresh, my assumption is the made them over 30 minutes ago, which is very iffy for me if im paying $5 for a corn dog and they don't take long to make. Now the corn dog is a good size, a bit too heavy on the batter and because it was left out it was soggy, but had a good fry (minus it doesnt matter because its been out for so long). If I'm paying $5.25 for a corn dog I would want them to be like, actually made to order not kept warm. I would compare it to a costco hotdog, even the batter is a little sweet and the dog is pretty sizeable. Super small store, no inside sitting but they have a bench and the pier outside, people don't know how to funnel out of the building and decide to clutter the inside, can't teach common sense, but it blocked all the condiments. Condiments are just standard, ketchup mustard relish and small container of onions, kind of dissapointing. read more

I stumbled upon Jane's Corndogs in Newport Beach in the best way possible. I saw a girl on the pier eating a corn dog that looked way too good to ignore, so I asked her where she got it and that's how I ended up here. I ordered the World Famous Fresh Hand Dipped Corn Dog, and wow... it truly lives up to the name. It was made fresh and hand-dipped right on the spot, then cooked immediately. You can absolutely taste the difference perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside, and piping hot. Nothing frozen or premade about it. I also ordered the funnel cake with strawberries, which was another huge win. It was freshly made, golden, crispy, and topped generously with strawberries. Sweet, warm, and totally satisfying perfect for sharing, but I honestly didn't want to. The location is super convenient, just a short walking distance from the pier, making it an easy stop while strolling around Newport Beach. The service was amazing friendly, fast, and welcoming. You can tell they care about what they serve and the experience they give. Definitely check it out if you're craving for something sweet or savory. read more

Best corndog and cheese on a stick i ever had. i got the jalapeño flavored one 10/10.

My family has been coming here for over a decade. It is consistently good. You might not expect much from a small establishment on the beach that exclusively sells fried food, but the corn dogs here are so good. The homemade lemonade is the perfect drink to have with your corndog. It tastes like lemon drop candy in liquid form. I don't even really like lemonade but I love Jane's. The service is friendly, and the place is cute. It has that fun, vintage beach vibe. read more

Carnival food in Newport Beach?!?!? I have to admit I was overly excited about this little foodventure at the base of the pier. Honestly I was looking for a frozen treat but instantly changed my mind when I saw that they had battered and fried jalapeño cheese sticks. This unhealthy but soul lifting choice was exceedingly clear. Wow wow wow!!! The batter was crunchy yet fluffy and moist. The cheese was hot gooey and stringy. I would have posted a picture but it was so good that I gobbled it up before my partner could take a photo. read more

Bring back the old size corn dogs!! We love this spot ever since I was in high school

I went there on a Monday and it was raining so they were closed. They are open 11am to 12am everyday and 230 Friday and Saturday. I showed up at around 1pm in the afternoon on a Friday, there was no line, the guy working there was really nice and the corndog and cheese stick was really good. If i go back again i will stick to the cheese sticks. My daughter had a icy cone watermelon and she loved it. This place is popular and the line can get big real quick. If your having a craving for corn dogs this place makes a pretty good one and cheese stick. read more

On the pier/beach, on the go sweet treats and snacks to enjoy. Some beachside classics: corn dogs, cheese dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, pickles, ice cream, frozen bananas, ice cream bars dipped in chocolate with rainbow sprinkles (they pre make them in the morning they said and sit in the freezer for more convenient purchase) , candy applies, shakes/smoothers, nachos too I believe. Usually a line out the door, but their service is pretty quick for how crowded it can get. read more

When I hear corndogs, I think of the fair. When I think of fair, I think of funnel cakes, which I love. The menu houses them along with chili cheese fries, nachos, ice cream sundaes, ice cream bars, etc. Plus, they're open till 3am- we already had plans to get some. Around midnight, we brought back 2 strawberry funnel cakes and 2 ice cream sundaes to our nearby Airbnb. The deep fried goodness was crispy, sweet and nostalgic of the days when I used to go to Marine World just to get a funnel cake. If you have a thing for fair food like me, definitely drop by when hanging in Newport Beach! read more

It kinda looks run down and casual, but it's a really great late night spot by the beach esp with the seaside line. Also, fair food without having to wait or go to a fair?? Lit We got the cheesecake on a stick. It's kind of unassuming in the freezer stacked with a ton of other assorted goods. I was craving ice cream but not as cold you know, something sweet. We picked one out ourselves and quickly bought it, usually a chill singleton who runs the shop. It taste like the coating of a drumstick ice cream at first, a bit icy and not as creamy. But the more you chew and eat it, the deeper the cheesecake flavor gets, esp around the crust. It turns out to be a pretty thick piece. It's not like cheesecake factory rich, but pretty decent to make do for a ice cream but not ice cream craving. read more
