Jamul 23 is inside the newer hotel wing at Jamul Casino. The space itself is modern, clean, and has great views of the surrounding hills, but the buffet area is small with a fairly limited selection. Their seafood selection of lobster, crab legs, scallops, shrimp, and oysters is fresh and tasty, with multiple lobster options to choose from. There's also carving stations with prime rib and steak, though the steak was a bit dry during our visit. A small Asian section offers rice and noodles, but overall variety is limited. Jamul 23 is a pricey buffet with solid seafood options, but the rest of the menu feels pretty limited. It's worth checking out if you're mainly there for lobster and crab, but don't expect much variety or standout service.

We went for the VVIP on a Wed. $80 per person. (Players discounts available) Seafood was good. Cooked food was just ok. I feel like it was worth it for me because I love a raw bar. My husband not so much. Service was great. The set up was nice.

Celebrated my sister's 75th birthday here. Overall selections could be a bit more but then again the prices will probably be higher. Service was excellent. Ambience is great. The view could be a bit better. Perhaps open the other side where the view was inviting through the wilderness.

Food: 4 Service: 4 Ambiance: 4 I truly miss the classic San Diego casino buffets, so I was really glad to see that Jamul casino has one. It's always nice finding a spot that keeps that buffet experience alive. Jamul 23 Buffet is located on the hotel side of the casino, so be sure to park over there. I didn't realize that at first and ended up walking through the casino. It wasn't too bad, but it's always nicer to park closer to where you're actually going. We went during a weekday brunch and it was very calm. There was a good number of people dining, but it wasn't crowded or chaotic at all. I really appreciated the relaxed atmosphere. The selection isn't as massive as a typical Las Vegas buffet, but you can absolutely tell that the quality is there. And yes, it's all you can eat lobster. I definitely filled myself to my lobster's delight! There was sautéed lobster, fried lobster, crab legs, a seafood station, a carving stations, and even a chilaquiles station. They also had an omelette station, along with freshly squeezed juice and tea available. The dessert selection wasn't as extravagant as I usually prefer, but again, the quality was solid. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here. The food was delicious, it wasn't overly crowded, the service was good, and it felt like a calm, enjoyable meal with great seafood options. I came with a friend and was treated, so I can't really speak on the price. But if you're craving lobster and seafood in a relaxed setting, this is definitely a spot to check out.

Came to check out the new buffet located on the hotel side of the casino. Pretty spacious but limited buffet choices. Great for seafood lovers. Lobsters, snow crabs, king crabs, Dungeness crab, fresh scallops and salmon! A few hot items like stir fry veggies, fried rice, they have some cuts of meat too. Steak and lamb chops, also a pasta station. Looks like they change the meats and pasta station up since it wasn't the same item as my last visit. They also have some desserts and charcuterie station. Overall, worth it if you're a seafood lover, great service throughout my whole dining experience. Walk in is welcome if you couldn't snag a reservation.

This buffet is located through the hotel. You have to take the elevators from the casino to the hotel. You go through a security check and walk down the hallway. The buffet is pretty new. It only opened about 2 months ago. Its really beautiful inside. It looks like there isn't much food, but there is a lot! If you like seafood, this is your buffet! My only disappointment is that the dessert section is very limited. The service is absolutely stellar. From the hosts to my server, they were excellent! My server Alexa was wonderful and kind and had a great smile. The meat carvers and bussers were so welcoming and just so nice! I was treated so well and taken care of! Love it! I love the deep fried lobster and pretty much all the crab. Its 80$ for dinner and 60$ for brunch 8am - 2pm. For brunch you get lobster also but not Alaskan king crib. The quality is superb. I've been to all buffets that claim to have good lobster and crab, but was disappointed bc the quality was just abysmal. Not at jamul 23! Its great seafood and an awesome experience. I like the eggplant and the butter they give you with the complimentary bread! Soooo good! I stayed for about 2 hours and had a lovely time. They have a bar there you can order all the drinks you want. My chardonnay was only 8-9$. My husband loved the clam chowder. They didn't have a big selection of salad and the meats didn't fair very well with me. The duck is too dry and the stir fry chicken was also dry. For what they had in desserts, it was all yummy. I will definitely be coming again. Not to gamble though bc i lost 400$ lmao, but i had a great time! The casino is also very nice, clean, and looks pleasing. Everyone here is wonderful and helpful. Highly recommend!

Jamul 23 located at Jamul Casino, is now the new brunch spot located near the hotel side of the casino. This brunch used to only be available on Sundays at PrimeCut but, now it is available 7days a week. Customer service was amazing and the food selection is better at this new location than before. The only difference I noticed is that you pay ahead of time rather than after your meal. They offer an omelet station, 3 styles of lobster tails, crab legs, shrimp, oysters in the half shell, skirt steak, a variety of Asian cuisine, some pastries, and regular breakfast items such as potatoes, sausage, bacon, etc. A full bar is also available for those who drink starting in the am hours as well as some machines to play while enjoying your brunch meal. It costs about $69 per person to dine. Which can be worth it as long as you enjoy seafood.

Had a solid experience at Jamul 23's buffet, it's definitely not a Vegas-level buffet, but what they do have is pretty good. There's a nice focus on seafood: lobster and crab legs were the stars of the show, and the omelette bar added a fun, made-to-order touch that's great for brunch. I did find the overall selection a bit limited compared to what you might expect from a classic all-you-can-eat buffet, but the items that are offered did have good variety. The beef rib roast was a overcooked, unfortunately, still edible, but not as juicy as I hoped. And while they had dessert options that were genuinely good, I really missed having a proper salad bar or more vegetable choices to balance out all the rich options. Service and atmosphere were pleasant, and the whole setup feels a bit more elevated and scenic than your typical buffet, which makes it a nice place to go for a weekend brunch or special meal. Definitely worth trying if you're in the area and craving seafood, but go in with realistic expectations about variety.

Loved this buffet! There wasn't a huge variety of food options but having lobster makes up for it! They had an omelette station, steak, different seafood. I came in for lunch with my dad & will definitely be back. Good view, good service, & good food!

The seafood buffet at Jamul 23 was absolutely amazing - steamed and fried lobster tails, shrimp, and Alaskan King Crab legs topped the menu, but everything was fantastic. Cindy, Ray, and Aylen provided incredible customer service with friendly smiles and checked in with us regularly. The restaurant is lovely, as well! Loved it! Will definitely be back soon.

Currently my favorite seafood buffet. I've been here twice in less than a week. They have all the proteins that I love: lobster tails, king crab, snow crab, steak, and prime rib. I mostly came for the seafood. The steak was too dry and cooked for me. The prime rib was just right. They had a good selection of fruits, but not much for dessert. The customer service was awesome. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and everyone made us feel welcomed. I am looking forward to my next visit!

The buffet is amazing! They have lobster prepared three different ways, a variety of fresh seafood, salads, and more. Our server was attentive as well. We had a beautiful table with a spectacular view and even were able to see deer traveling by in the distance. This was such a great way to spend a Saturday.

We came here celebrating a birthday after seeing good reviews of this place. The service was great (not just at the buffet), we weren't entirely sure where to go when entering the casino and the security kindly pointed us in the right direction. Upon getting seated our sever Alexa was attentive, letting us know that she had been given a large table in the front and for us to not worry about her delayed check ins with us, and even gave us a little tip on the speakeasy they had! (Called Fly Room, I will be providing another review for that as well) As for the buffet, it was a little smaller than we had expected, but they had plenty of seating, with little food options. (I do understand that they probably have different food options on rotation so options may vary) Although the food was appealing, some were very misleading. The crab legs (dungeoness, snow, king) for example, a lot of the ones we grabbed were empty/lack of meat, shells were flimsy/flexible which was a little off putting (we've never had to peel crab legs apart), and the steamed ones were bland. I will say, when they had a new round of king crab legs, it came out a lot better, more meat and more flavorful! So it could be that we just had an unpleasant first round. As for the lobster, it was good, but like I mentioned earlier with the crab legs, the steamed ones were a little bland so we would recommend going for the fried one for more flavor. Continuing, the pepper beef was a little tough and the beef rib was pretty rare (but that's probably because of my preferences), but overall both well seasoned. On the other hand, a little expected and not fully surprised, but gratefully appreciated and enjoyed, (due to another birthday celebration before ours) they brought out a celebratory Happy Birthday cheesecake plate topped with a sparkler and sang happy birthday with a few nearby servers and other staff who were around the table at the time, which I thought was a kind gesture, which definitely made the birthday special and memorable.

I have never had salmon this good in my life--hands down the #1 dish of the night. If you're a fan of fish, skip everything else and just get this. The Sea Bass was fresh and the quinoa it came with was actually really tasty, but honestly, it just couldn't compete with that salmon. As for the Tomahawk set, the steak itself was great and the lobster was super fresh. However, the grilled oysters were a bit of a letdown. I get that they put salt on the bottom to keep them warm, but these were just way too salty. We also tried the Seafood Pasta, which was just "okay"--it was a little dry and came out kind of cold. On the plus side, the fried calamari was solid. The service, however, is what really makes this place. It's always top-notch here, and Ricky was especially awesome and super nice to us all night. Final thought: Even though the Tomahawk was a cool experience, I think I actually prefer the $100 set more. It feels like a better balance of flavors for the price. Still a great night out!
