Marco, our server, may have been the most pleasant person I've met in a long while, and he was super attentive. Also, we came in at weird time between shifts, and they had a huge event coming up. Our food still was easy and-- most of all-- delicious! Those albondigas blew my mind. And my mind is not easily blown. Also it's like, totally family-owned, and I support the hell out of this. I know what you're thinking "that place is never open", well, on Sundays they are and it is worth the price of admission (approximately $17per person). The food was legit - buffet style includes the basics such as rice, beans, enchiladas, but then steps up to their game with a few delicious guisados ( stews), Birria, machaca, and finishes it all off with menudo and two types of pozole. Include water and coffee and you'll walk out of there a happy customer. The service is way nice, the chef (Georgina) is super engaging and the place is tastefully decorated, one really feels the passion they put into the effort. The owner & her family are very nice & welcoming, telling you their recommendations, to feel free to ask for anything, etc. The food is a decent spread of Mexican dishes from the traditional rice, beans, and enchiladas to the more authentic birria, eggs rancheros, chilaquiles, chorizo, etc. There's also a nice pot of menudo with all the fixings. They also have an omelette station where they'll make your omelette & eggs to order, as well as handmade tortillas. There were a bit of flies buzzing, however, it's east county summer and we're all dealing with them, but getting those in check in an eatery would be better too. For $17/person, it's really a decent deal & bang for your buck. It's by no means luxurious or decadent food, nor would I expect it to be. Horrible place, food is just okay, but service was horrible. The place couldn't keep up with the food (buffet) many trays were empty and the area where they had food was discussing. Someone left their dirty plates in the buffet area, no kidding they were there from the start and they were still there when we left. The trays of fruit salad were empty and unattended from start to finish. Server never came to take a drink order so we had to go to the bar and order, I saw another woman who did the same. We had breakfast yesterday (12/12/21) with some family who live right around the corner from this place. They love it and have been here many times since it opened. Our first time has made us fans too! Location- I wouldn't have expected a place like this to be in the somewhat rural area of Jamul. It is located in a small shopping center next to a liquor store that has amazing jerky (FYI); plenty of available parking. Pretty unassuming from the outside but very fancy and interesting decor on the inside that slants more feminine style in a very tasteful way. There is outdoor dining and a small cafe next to the main dining area that isn't really large but the tables are spaced out enough where it doesn't feel crammed. There is also a bar area Staff- the owner and all the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming as well as being effecient Food- we ordered the chilaquiles (both the red and green) and both were amazing; we also got the scrambled eggs and chorizo which were very good; our 2 family members have been here for lunch and have enjoyed all the items they have tried on that menu as well Prices- a little on the high side but worth it for the quality of food, service, and the unique decor read more

We had our wedding at the Chandelier Lounge. The restaurant is very cute and didn't need any additional decorations. The food was good, but the portions are very small. My guests complained that they only got 1 asparagus on their plate and it was 1/2 a chicken breast, so they ended up having to eat after the wedding. It was disappointing to arrive early to take pictures, as scheduled and still see that they weren't ready for the wedding. There wasn't any paper towels in the women's bathroom- they never put them in, a wide passage way was not cleared for our entrance, the waste paper baskets in the bathrooms were not empty. We had been assured that everything would be ready the day before when we dropped off the drinks, and cake, but it was just not done. Another issue was that we had discussed the use of the restaurant's piano that they were going to fix, but a couple of days before the wedding the owner said that the piano would not be fixed because the repair was too much for their budget. Since it wasn't written a the contract that we would have use of the piano we had to scramble to get a play list, speaker and see if our piano player would bring a keyboard. Our minister also left our wedding program with the staff because he had to leave immediately after our vows and we were never given those vows by the staff. It was a chaotic. Considering that we scheduled the wedding with roughly 80 guests a month prior, it was a fair deal, just very stressful. read more

The entire experience was gross. The buffet was cramped, filled with greasy low quality food, and frozen food (pancakes). They had plenty of open seating, but they sat us on a small bar height table where there was no light, and discarded restroom toilet seat protector holder right next to us. I was so excited to go try this place and was quickly disappointed. Showed up to Sunday brunch halfway through it. The pans had hardly any food in them and they were not being refilled. This restaurant has a little coffee shop inside. The coffee shop is open daily and is better than the nearest chain coffee shop. The pastries are baked fresh daily. And this is in a cute spot in Jamul where we don't have much. I highly recommend getting your coffee here and supporting a local small business. read more

Excellent service & delicious food. We were able to sit outside & enjoyed the chilaquiles (Georgina recommended we do half red & half green, so we could try both and see which was our favorite - both were great! The green was a little bit spicier than the red, but not an overwhelming spice). Our son had the Chicken Fried Steak & enjoyed all of it. I had the Eggs Florentine, and that was perfect...nice creamy and slightly tart hollandaise sauce, perfectly poached eggs, and the house potatoes are amazing. Went for Sunday brunch special. As we got there we got sat down and greeted. When it came time for us to go to the buffet there was nothing. Scraps of food left over. I asked if they were going to refill the food containers . I was told they would . The food left was cold literally cold. I had 1 pancake the rest of my party had just scraps of food left of whatever they could find. We went there hungry of course and left hungry. Someone came to our table and asked if we needed anything else. I never ever complain but I had too .: how could I literally pay 16.99 for NOTHING. They apologized and said they received more people than expected earlier and food was gone. Well why sit more people ? Maybe count a capacity it's an actual buffet and I'm sure people serve themselves more than once. They gave us a "discount " i had to pay for my toddler who didn't eat . Literally didn't eat because there was nothing left and we still got charged. Very disappointed I was truthfully looking forward to eating there and maybe having my wedding there. Not anymore. Now here I'm looking for a place to eat because my toddler is starving and so am I. Waste of gas and money spent on nothing. This is this place on a Sunday for their brunch. 16.99 was not disappointed. Great choice of foods from eggs, rice and beans, beef, pork pancakes. And other menu items salad, fruit salad. For the buffet, the food was extremely tasty. Well seasoned compared to most other buffets. For $16.99. it's well worth it. Location: It is located in Jamul, a little out of the way from downtown SD and just a few miles from Eastlake but the drive via Otay Lakes road was a nice scenic ride. It is located near a shopping center, no too crowded, plenty of parking. It has an outside dining area. Atmosphere: Inside decor is very elegant with numerous tables and chandeliers. There is two sides , a cafe and dining room area. The bar area is cozy. I haven't seen it yet at night but from the set up there are lights on the ceiling and the chandeliers lights. Food: The menu has various options from salads to burgers on the lunch menu. There are specials menu items for your choice to try. We ate the CLC club sandwich and the chicken ciabatta, French onion soup. All were good portions. Staff: The staff were kind and helpful. The owner Georgina was very nice and greeted us with her warm demeanor and attitude. Our server took our orders and it didn't take long to get our food. It was good portions. In my and my family's opinion, the restaurant brings a great set of attributes. Among these, quality of food. The family has put together a pretty good menu, simple and delicious. A good variety of food for everyone in the family. Ambience. The place brings a pretty good environment that one cannot imagine could exist in Jamul. We thought by the decor and owner's pictures it would be a spectacular place. If you are seeking an event it would definitely be recommended but not for an anniversary dinner or family dinner. Pictures online are actually not on the menus most reviews are from the owner and it is expensive compared to other restaurants featuring same dishes, but for less quality. Been here many times at different times of the day, and every time we come here is better than the last! Went there this morning with my family for breakfast, and everything was quite delicious. Georgina, the owner, is extremely welcoming and goes above and beyond, and that also applies to the servers we have dealt with. Their veggie omelette, chilaquiles, and motuleños were all out of this world. There is also a coffee shop attached to the restaurant that makes delicious drinks to top it off. I am not going lied; we have been waiting for our reservation which is finally today we went and we were exciting until the vibe change and felt so messy, the server wasn't organized, inside was so hot temp, our drink was just water without ice, the plates and silverware was so dirty, the foods buffet was pretty messy like we didn't really want to eat since we felt disgusting. We left after 10 min to go another place to eats. I was exciting for hidden gem but this place is such messy. Even we can see the dust and dirty sheet. Ugh never come back again. The restaurant staff is courteous and friendly. On Mother's Day it's hard to find a great spot that offers great service and this place is amazing.
