What we needed in the Otay Ranch/Eastlake Area was a solid bottle/beer shop with excellent selections of really good craft breweries. Been to this spot to pick up bottles a few times when they first opened. Highly organized, staff is friendly, and the set up makes it easy to find what you are looking for. I've watched their craft beer selection grow over the years (beer cave located in the back btw!) and now I'm glad to say they carry a bunch of some of my favorite beer selections from some well-known craft breweries around like King's Brewery, Great Notion, Mason Aleworks, and Harland. I would love if you can pick single cans from four packs because sometimes a 4pack is pretty pricy but I'm not sure if you're allowed to pick a few single cans you wanna try without getting the whole pack. But overall a great spot to check out for all your libation and brew needs! read more

This was a nice find. We were ordering takeout from the nearby Luna Grill and I ventured in. The owner was friendly and personable. Despite the smaller size of the store there was a pretty vast selection of beer, wine and spirits. Heck they even had the infamous Alien Beef Jerky from baker, California for sale. You can walk into the beer cooler and find the right beer for you at your leisure Extensive collection of whisky and scotch. Prices were in line with other stores. What's not to like! read more

They take into consideration your likes and dislikes when it comes to alcohol and are able to find anyone something that they might like. Parking: parking is very limited in this area. A lot of popular places make a congested parking lot. Service: always friendly and always welcoming. Prices: are about the same as anywhere else you go. Selections of beer and liquor: they have so many different brands that I've never seen before. Some cool features: -The beer cave is really cool and is a must see! I figure the rent on the facility is high here, but the gall to price things this way being in the same zipcode as Bevmo is beyond me. They have just about everything you could look for, and that's probably because nobody in their right mind will take it off their hands at their prices. Don't get me wrong, the staff is friendly and accomodating, and the selection is VAST, but Scotch and Irish whiskey prices are absurd. For example, a bottle of Green Spot here on the shelf I believe was about $80, at a local Bobar it might be around $60, and at the Bevmo I believe it rounds up to $53. Same deal for Redbreast, Abelour, Highland Park, etc. I'd buy beer here, but not liquor. read more

Avoided this place for the last year. Felt it was too hipster. FYI the people who live here can't drive or park. The employee for this Sunday, very nice and helpful, did not follow me around. The walk in beer fridge and selection was pretty good. It's clean and does not smile of stale beer. Decent assortment of beer and has the biggest selection of Pure Project I have seen outside their brewery. It's some paperback brewery and you have a customer for life. So I think I am dropping BevMo and using this place. Prices are decent and staff is mellow, plus they have wine and liquor tasting towards the end of the week. read more

I thought this was a wine bar, boy was i wrong.. Steven and his wife are awesome, they have wine , liquor, beer, and ice cream. The craft beer cave is killer with great selections, the whisky wall is amazing and Steven (owner) walked me through all of the bottles and what he likes for 15 minutes. Wow is an understatement! This is exactly what we needed in East Lake. Walking in I felt like I was going into a luxury boutique not a liquor store. Everything was so clean and organized I didn't want to leave! The guys behind the counter were extremely nice and helpful as well! They picked out the perfect Cab for my moms birthday. They have a good selection of wines, I go in there for the wine. Harder to find, and regional bottles from Valle de Guadalupe like Monte Xanic and Cetto and Temecula. NO STARS!! I've visited this store only a handful of times and I must say that it is very discriminatory and racist place of business. My guests and I shopped at this store together for the first time and were watched and followed from the time we arrived. We were then followed to our personal vehicle by a clerk who then tapped on my window and proceeded to accuse my guest and I for stealing!! He stated, "are you going to return the margarita mix that you stole from inside? I watched you on the camera". I then exited my vehicle and escorted this ignorant accusatory individual back to the store and pointed out the item he accused us of stealing! My rating is based solely off their prices. The majority of their Liquor selection is priced $10-$15 over what you can get it for in your local supermarket. Went in for a bottle of Four Roses Whiskey they had priced at $29 and right across the street at Barons you can get it for $18. This place is basically like a tiny BevMo with higher prices. read more

Stopped by for the first time this weekend and I am obsessed! I live walking distance so this place is perfect for a quick wine/beer stop before dinner.
