Owner threatened to call the police and get my car towed
Pollie S.

Terrible service towards customers, the guy was angry to help. Went to get some drinks for a party in the area the guys there did not want to help or even acknowledge I was there shopping.

Completely over priced I paid $10 for. Regular candy and small bag of chips! Prices aren't marked!

Nice guy that works there. They have cutwater, if you haven't tried it, strawberry is the best. Be careful just one can get you buzzed.

I came across this beautiful new store while in the area today. They had a HUGE selection of wine…read moreand spirits and informed me their inventory is growing. I was amazed at how many rare bottles of liquor they carried like The Midwinter Night Dram which my family loves, so of course, I had to grab one since it is so hard to find nowadays. This store was very clean, neat, organized, and the customer service was amazing! They have a variety of snacks and a beer cave. They had mentioned that if there is a bottle of a wine or spirit you don't see in the store.. they offered to order some and stash it for me for the next time I came in! Where else can you find service like this?! This is a great addition to the area and I look forward to stopping in again!!

Almost every time I enter the store, an employee or cashier comes from behind the counter and follows customers around the aisles while they shop. I experienced this when the store first opened several years ago, again last year, and once more today. At this point, it feels like a regular practice rather than an isolated incident. Being followed while simply looking at items on the shelves makes me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome as a customer. The aisles are also roped off in a way that limits where customers can walk, with only one designated way to enter and exit the store. The overall experience feels restrictive rather than inviting. I understand that businesses have legitimate concerns about theft, but there are ways to protect a store while still making customers feel trusted and welcome. Unfortunately, my repeated experiences here have left me with the opposite impression. After living in Escaya for five years, I would much rather spend my money at a business where I feel welcomed and comfortable. Ironically, the gas station across the street offers a larger selection of many products and provides a much more welcoming customer experience. For these reasons, I will no longer be spending my money at Escaya Wine & Spirits.

Please come here if you are a sl*t for soups. They have hella soups and even hot Mac & cheese for…read moreyou to scoop your self. The soups are great and my personal fave is Hungarian mushroom. It even goes great on rice. My sis loves the broccoli cheddar. We both love the tomato basil. There's breads made locally and bread bowls available for purchase. They have samples randomly for fresh fruits and pressed fruit juices. And teeny bread samples to sample the extensive selection of flavored balsamic vinegars (and oil I believe). One year I bought a pumpkin spice balsamic vinegar because it was on clearance and that ish lasted me for years. The staff is incredibly helpful with the products. I asked about something and the cashier insisted on getting it for me before I could have a second thought. He went all the way to the freezer for it. It was for cornbread and The cornbread here is tasty. The store is tidy and spacious. I've never been overwhelmed shopping there. Parking lot is easy to navigate, especially since it's a huge mall parking structure. I love how lots of products are locally made. The breads are either house brand or like an award winning local bakery like Bread & Cie, which I believe is delivered daily because they seem to be stocked always. There's cheesecake variety from Incredibe Cheesecake Company off Adams ave. I forgot which rare spice I had to buy that was hard to find, but the price was most affordable here, so i was able to stock up.

Also, I love the selection of items for those of us with food allergies and special dietary needs. The variety is great and the prices are a bit hefty, but worth it to me. The place is always clean and well maintained. You can purchase many different deli items and they even have fresh and full salads. I was impressed with the selection of snacks, it is always a treat. On this visit, I discovered fresh honeycomb! Very very impressive. I stay away from the olive bar because I always see people picking in there with their own hands....and not using the utensils. This place has great customer service as well. I appreciate that they were kind and consistent with each customer checking out. Thanks!
