However, my issue lies with the experience of getting my glasses prescription filled. From the beginning, I made it very clear that I wanted a basic, affordable second pair of glasses. I mentioned this multiple times--at least three times--but I felt pushed toward more expensive options that I didn't want. When I finally chose a frame covered by my insurance, I was told that my lenses required special processing because of my prescription. The price I was quoted for the lenses was over $500. When I said I couldn't afford that and didn't intend to spend more than $300, the price suddenly dropped to $308 within seconds. Why wasn't this lower option presented to me in the first place? The sudden shift in pricing felt shady and left me questioning the transparency of the process. It felt like I was being pressured into spending more than necessary, and the whole experience came across as unprofessional. I hope this feedback encourages a more honest and straightforward approach in the future. Customers should feel respected and confident in their choices--not pushed into something they don't want or can't afford.

The experience was very positive. Everyone, from the receptionist to the advisor for frames to the doctor were super nice. Dr. McClennan was very thorough and spent a lot of time getting to know my eye needs. The eye exam was comprehensive and I felt good about it. After the exam, there is an extensive selection of frames. An advisor helped my pick one that met my needs. I was happy with the selection. The only downside about this business is accessibility. It is nearly impossible to access if you are going west on Mockingbird. There is no U-turn sign at the Greenville stoplight so you have to turn left on Greenville and hope to be able to squeeze in a left turn into the parking lot. Going east on Mockingbird is much easier, although parking is tight no matter which direction you are going. Overall, I would recommend this business.

At this point I figured I would again ask them when I came in for our appointment in person. So today when we came in I asked them again and the front ladies stated that they didn't check it (even though I asked them too)! So I asked them if they could check it because my daughter in law wanted to come in as a new patient. At this point they said we do not take that and I pulled up the discount site and showed them where Dr Chapman was at the TOP of the list of providers that accepted it. Then they both just looked away and acted as if they didn't care one bit! It's sad because Dr Chapman is great but with staff like this who do not seem to care one bit he just lost a potential new patient and quite possibly my family of five...

I was given a prescription for contacts and one for glasses. Strong Eye Care asked me to send a copy of my current contact lenses prescription so they could see how they had been previously prescribed. I sent a picture with a box clearly labeled with an L to show which was which. I got the new prescription, filled it and got several boxes of contacts. I have been having trouble focusing so I checked the new prescription with my old ones and saw that they were backwards. I spoke with Dr Strong and his fix to his office's blunder was to write me a new prescription. What about all of the boxes of contacts I bought? What about all the headaches and the discomfort of not seeing properly? I seriously thought something had happened to my eye sight. Some moron at Strong Eye Center asked for my old prescription only to ignore it and give the wrong prescription. Simply writing me a new prescription does not correct their mistake. They need to own it and make it right!

I went here for new glasses…read more The experience was uneven. I went in to ask if they do eye exams for new glasses and they said yes but were "completely booked" for the day. It was about 11am. They gave me some options for the following week which did not work for me, so I was just standing there thinking about what to do when the receptionist said "can you come today at 1pm?" I said sure, not questioning why the booked schedule had changed suddenly. I arrived at 1pm and no other customers were in line for an exam or anything else. In fact, during my whole time there I saw zero people there for an exam, so where the "full schedule" came from is a master to me. They tried to start off with an eye exam but their first machine broke or was not functioning. Luckily, I had recent paperwork from my other eye doctor that they could use, otherwise I was wasting my time and would have to come back another time. They accepted my paperwork so we were in business. After the exam was completed, I chose my frames--they have a decent selection with different price tiers--and Issac worked with me on the price. At the point of purchase I was told that they would text me when the glasses were ready. A week later, I had heard nothing so I called and was told the glasses had arrived. I went in the next day to get my new glasses. I am happy with them, they fit well and I can see clearly again. The day after I picked up my glasses I received a text that my glasses are ready for pickup.
