The original electrician I had called had told me the wire was too small and we would need to replace it all (without actually taking anything apart to see the size of the wire under the cabling) They easily could have taken advantage of someone like me who knows little to nothing about electricity, but instead, they did the right thing and earned themselves a life long customer.

I thought I'd give him another chance thinking he just didn't want to say no when he said he would come on Saturday. He knew we really needed him bc my kiln was not firing and I needed service before the kiln tech could come. And so I thought he didn't want to say no. So we agreed to him coming Monday at 9 am. At 9:45, my husband called and he said (get this) he was late because he inhaled suds while in the shower. He said he was on his way. At 10:30, still no show, we texted him and told him to forget it. He never replied. During this, he wasn't answering his phone and his voicemail was full, too. And these were not even the first time something like this happened. Once before, a couple years ago, he came to give an estimate and during the estimate he fixed a small problem and said he would send us his estimate for the whole job. Then he couldnt come back to do the job bc he hurt his foot. Even though we now had to find someone else to do the entire job, we sent him a check anyway for the small repair he did during the estimate because we felt bad he had been in the hospital. He seemed like a good guy back then. But now I think maybe that was not true either. Anyway, I would not recommend. I don't like leaving bad reviews. But someone else one time posted a review about a company I was just about to sign a contract with. That person saved me from making a huge mistake. So now, when something is really bad, I do a review.

I just wanted to clarify my experience -- short and simple- you confirmed an appt you didn't keep and then decided not to accept a project/work further because my tone of frustration (of which your lack of communications was the root cause ) was not acceptable. You say you "value mutual respect and clear communication in every client relationship. " Unfortunately, you didn't even communicate until I contacted you to ask if you were still coming. You left me waiting without notification so that's already contradictory to what you value. Management then chose not to continue to work with me because they felt the tone and nature of response was not acceptable after an apology The truth is...No one called to apologize or acknowledge the no show until after I called. You can't expect to gain respect if you don't give it. Although you had an emergency at 7am (our scheduled appt was 10am), it doesn't take more than 5 sec to send a quick message to cancel. You had 3 hours to cancel an appt you couldn't make. So it is for the same reason that I prefer not to work with your company. When the electrician arrived, he introduced himself (Dan) with a big smile, he put on his protective booties(raining outside) and started off with explaining the company background. Good information to know. I let him know why I picked their company, etc and he answered any and all questions that me and my dad had regarding the work. We needed a couple outlets put in, got a whole house power surge protector and a light switch updated. Dan gave us the cost, estimated time it would take to complete it and once approved, he got right to it. Once he was done, he explained everything and made sure we were good with this work. He actually found some issues as he was working, but he explained them and gave us his recommendation. Excellent work for a VERY reasonable price. Wiring run to box wasn't tacked up to basement ceiling, only draped over joists. No insulation behind dryer (outside wall torn down to studs) even though we asked for it AND supplied it. Installed a floor drain not recessed. Hot and cold water inputs reversed. Tried to hang a pot rack on a wall that housed a pocket door. Attached dryer vent with tape - it fell off and dryer air has been blowing back into the house and making us sick for the last three weeks. Drainage pipe from roof was chopped off inside laundry room wall and covered with a rubber sock. Husband found it full of water while new contractor was redoing drywall - WHICH WAS MUDDED WITHOUT TAPE. Dismantled old 220 line against our wishes and shoved it into the wall wrapped in tape. Fired Presto when he caused a gas leak in my basement. Sued and won. He appealed and I won that too.
