went to the gym and decided to stop here for an acai bowl. My partner and i order the first acai bowl on the menu, the acai primo. We tell him the first one listed and asked for no honey. He took his name tag off but he has mid length brown hair. He gets frustrated when we simply asked for the açaí primo and thought we asked for something else. I asked to not have honey put on the bowl be my partner is allergic. We get the bowls and there's a ton of honey on top like it was drowned in honey. I go back to tell them we had asked for no honey and he corrects me and says " i'm pretty sure you didn't" and threw a fit and slammed the bowl in the back and walked away and i had reassured him and reminded him about how i had asked the first time and he tried to ring us up for a different bowl with nutella and peanut butter. A simple miscommunication lead into him throwing a fit when we responded so nicely and was genuinely confused as to why he got so upset. if you com her make sure you're clear about your order and allergens because he won't hear you the first time and try and say you didn't let them know about removing or substituting anything. read more

I love this location. It is conveniently located in the Safeway shopping center next to other stores and restaurants. There is plenty of parking. The ladies in here are always friendly! They don't have fresh produce to juice which is what I was hoping for but they can fresh squeeze carrot and orange juice. I don't drink the smoothies but they look delicious. They have some kids options for smoothies, my kid got the strawberry one, she loved it. They have wheat grass and supplements you can add to your smoothies or drinks. They have other packaged foods for purchase such as pirate booties. They have gift cards for purchase and other Jamba Juice souvenirs. The restaurant is small with limited seating. My coworkers daughter was selling bogo cards for a school fundraiser, so of course I had to support. Its been about 3 years since my last Jamba, but it worked out that I was visiting family and they thought it would be a great idea to swing in for some smoothies. Very unorganized. Ignored at counter. This location seems unable to handle the load of mobile orders and walk in.

First of all, I love Jamba Juice. In Salinas, there are two locations and this one is the better of the two. Yes, they have the same owner but I always seem to have better service at this location and better quality of smoothies - I like my smoothies to be smooth and not icy and several times in South Salinas I have had to give my smoothie back because it was chunky and icy. Just a tip... parking is a little hectic with this being located on the corner of busy parking lot intersection. Just a heads up. read more

Been here a few times, and I always walk out satisfied. The personnel is always very friendly and energetic, even when they're busy, they take the time to acknowledge you and assure their service to you will come soon. Hey I know they're not octupuses, if they're making smoothies for 2 or 3 other people there, I don't expect to be attended to immediately, so at least being greeted and acknowledged always feels good. On to the products. My personal favorites are Mango a Go-Go, and Orange Dream Machine, the latter of which tastes like those awesome orange creamsicle (YUM!). I recently tried their Sweet Belgian Waffle, and it was amazing. My buddy tried their Parmesan Pretzel and was all smiles, so there you go. read more

Between this location & the other one down on S. Main, I definitely prefer this location. The staff here seems to provide faster service and is just a bit more friendly than the other location. As a company, I love how Jamba Juice has stepped it up with their availability of acai bowls and pitaya bowls. They're one of my favorites!! I do feel they are above average but am only rating four stars as their service wasn't overly amazing or anything special. I usually have no issue here at this location, but customer service tonight could've been better. I was ignored by the female shift lead after walking in. It wasn't until after two more customers came in after me that any of us were acknowledged. Both shift leads (male and female) were busy talking rather than tending to the line. She finally took my order but then had another employee ring me up. Once I received my drink rudely from the female, I was highly disappointed to see that the cup wasn't completely full as it usually is. Never had an issue with using more than one coupon. I was given the two small smoothie coupons that were given to me by the manager, they have taken 2 before the week prior. If that is not allowed then they should tell all employees so that they are all on the same page and avoid bad reviews like these. Been to this location a handful of times. Always received good customer service and a delicious beverage. Been to the South Salinas location once, and as another Yelper stated, this location is better. I too had some chunks of fruit/ice that I did not heart. Hubby and I order the no soy, nondairy juice beverages because we are trying to adopt a vegan diet and we stay away from soy as much as possible. My favorite is the Apples n Greens...my taste buds love the distinct flavor of that drink. He likes the Upbeet and "berry centric" drinks for the tartness. We are really into fresh vegetable/fruit juice combinations and we make them at home daily. Jamba Juice is our "day off" treat where go to have someone else make our morning juice drinks. Wishing they would add more high vegetable/low fruit options. I do the on-line surveys and mention it there as well. Fresh veggie juicing is so damn good for you and seems to be picking up steam in the world, I'm thinking Jamba Juice will get on the train soon enough. On May 13, 2012 (Mother's Day), I purchased two(2) items from the North Salinas store: Spinach 'n Cheese Wrap, $2.95 Berry Agave Bar, $1.50 The cashier, I'll call her Employee A, handed me the receipt. Moments later, another employee, I'll call him "Employee B," told me that "We are out of agave bars." I was confused because I had just seen and purchased the last agave bar in the baked goods display case, and I remember hearing Employee A opening a brown paper bag to place the item inside. I mentioned to Employee B that I had purchased the last agave bar, and he said, "She (Employee A) accidentally dropped the agave bar." Then, why did he tell me they were out of agave bars? I asked Employee B to issue me a refund for $1.50. He printed a receipt. I noticed the receipt did not show an adjustment of $1.50, and it was actually another charge for a $2.95 (plus $0.23 sales tax) Spinach 'n Cheese Wrap. The total on this receipt shows $3.18. I pointed this out to Employee B, who said, "That shows that $1.50 is not on your receipt." I asked him to print me a receipt that shows that $1.50 was refunded. He said, "I can't do that. The computer won't let me do that. There's nothing I can do." I called my bank, and the representative confirmed that I was charged twice from Jamba Juice - one charge for $4.68, and a second charge for $3.18. I went back into the store and explained this to Employee B, who replied, "Are you sure it wasn't a refund?" I asked Employee B to find a way fix this problem. He said, "There is nothing I can do." I asked him to call the general manager, because I wanted to speak with her, and he said he cannot call her. I cannot believe this. I walked away feeling robbed because he refused to refund my money, and he refused to correct his mistakes. I give this store one star because of that one employee. I don't feel comfortable going back to that store with him behind the counter. I sent a complaint through Jamba Juice customer service and a message to the general manager. I am waiting to hear back from her as to how she can resolve this issue. I will not go back to this store until this problem is resolved. read more

It's good but the customer service is horrible and really really slow. They seemed very unhappy even though they're not in a rush.

As a former employee of Jamba Juice, I was disappointed to see that this store's employees did not adhere to Jamba's standards. When a customer is in line, no matter how backed up the front line is, Jamba employees are supposed to take the customer's order first. It took about 5 minutes for an employee to come to the register. She was not very friendly - did not even say hi, the first thing Jamba expects their employees to do when seeing a customer. Additionally, I believe I may have been rung up as "dine in", thus adding a tax surcharge, though I'm not certain because Jamba Juice may have universally increased their prices. The 3-minute rule (smoothie ready and in a customer's hands in 3 minutes or less after the order is placed) also missed the mark, but my smoothie was properly made and the gal on pour was very friendly, so I can award an extra star for that. If a manager of this store reads this review, please take some time to train your employees on customer service. read more

Only been here once, but they were so fast & friendly I'll hit this place again. It was every thing I wanted in a Jamba Juice, and so much more. In fact, I was so pleased w/ them that I went home & researched the company a bit: Their stock's publicly traded (NASDAQ GM, ticker symbol JMBA), though they've only been a public company for a short time. Anyway, the share price & company valuation (market cap) look pretty reasonably priced, so maybe it's time I pick up some stock in this outfit. The stock price has been beaten down a bit due to operating losses, but they have a decent balance sheet, no long-term debt, and very aggressive expansion plans that could pay off nicely. There's a big short-seller interest in this stock (meaning a lot of traders are betting/hoping the share price will move lower), but maybe the company will have a strong summer & prove those negative folks wrong. Anyway, I guess I'll spend my next several Friday nights pouring over their financial statements and SEC filings rather than wasting time cuddling w/ the GF. I mean let's be honest, shes not going to keep me warm @ night, whereas money is something that will definitely return my love.
