The customer service at this location is lacking. The cashier put my order in as a to go order. I waited for 20 minutes for my order to be called and it never was. Trying to understand it was a busy afternoon, I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt only to find that my order had been prepared and placed in a freezer for to go orders. By the time I got my bowl, everything tasted like ice. The woman in front of me also waited for 20 minutes for her order only to find when she asked that they had never made her smoothie. I have no idea why I haven't reviewed this location. I have been coming here since it opened back in the day. They consistently serve drinks speedily and with a smile. I like the direction that JJ has taken with making the drinks more natural less sweet but you can still ask for the classics. They always make drinks to order so feel free to add, substitute other ingredients and make it your own. I have several favorites and make substitutions at times. I love Jamba Juice and I'll keep ordering from here, but probably not online anymore. Just fyi they don't read the notes in your order. Also the online description doesn't necessarily match what you get. For example PB Wow Cacao dot not list blueberries as an ingredient, but sometimes they add them anyway. (I can't switch it out since it's not listed). And I put it in all caps in the notes no blueberries but my order has a HUGE scoop of blueberries. Honestly.. the worst Jamba location. I've been to numerous Jamba locations and this one is byfar the most messy, unorganized, slow, worst customer service. It almost looks like they're about to close down this location, but for some reason they're still going? Surviving by a thread? It might be a good idea to look into better management, better training, more employees maybe? They take a very long time to make drinks..and a customer made a comment about taking too long for a drink, that he's worked at a Jamba before and that it shouldn't take this long. One of the employees talked back saying he didn't like what the customer said, but... it does seem like this locations takes forever to make the drinks so rather than fighting back, it should be a learning moment to be on top of things. The workers also don't check up on the customers if they're waiting or have any explanation of the items being late. This Jamba Juice has been hit and miss. Sometimes my juice-buying experience is great and sometimes I can't wait to get out of there. Either the air conditioning was off or they had the heater on last weekend (a hot afternoon). I'm not sure what's going on but it's not very refreshing to walk into a Juice store on a hot day to find that its even hotter inside. Honest. It was hotter inside. I've been to this location on Lake Ave a few times and always find myself asking the same question. "How is this place still in business?" It's by far the worst Jamba ever. Completely filthy inside. The windows are dirty, the walls are grimy and all scuffed up with paint missing. The furniture is all beat up. In addition, most of the display cabinets are empty, as if the place is closing down. This place is the best! I come here pretty often and everyone in the store is friendly. When I came in the other morning, Alyssa and Jen were there working with big smiles on their faces. I love Jamba Juice, but the franchise owner (I can only assume it's a franchise location since they're so cheap) must be trying to trim costs at the expense of the customer. I got a Power Size (32oz) smoothie and I asked that it be split into a kids cup and a regular (24 oz cup). I was politely informed by the cashier that they could not give me a kids cup if I did not purchase a kids drink. Now, I have been to tons of Jamba juices in the last year in Chicago, Washington, DC, Boston, and LA. Not a single one has ever told me that I can't have a kids cup unless I get a kids drink. I asked to speak to a manager and she told me that the best she could do is to use one of those clear plastic cups. It's better than styrofoam, but it still has the problem of easy spillage. But whatever - who was I to argue with the obvious cost cutting at this particular Jamba. What really got me incensed was what happened next. The person making the smoothie decided to split my smoothie into the smallest cups that would fit what he made. So he put one in their small cup (16oz) and the clear plastic cup (12oz). Not only did he fit all the smoothie in there, there was still room! My arithmetic may be a bit hazy, but I'm pretty sure that 12 + 16 = 28, not 32. So they were trying to pass off a drink to me that had at least 4 oz less than I paid for. Crappier cups and less jamba is not a way to make a frequent Jamba buyer happy.
