When I arrived at my meeting, I discovered that three custom bowls were missing. For an order of this size and value, this level of carelessness is unacceptable. I reached out to Blue Bowl and gave them the opportunity to make this right, but they refused to rectify the mistake. Poor customer service is one thing, but failing to take responsibility after being given the chance to resolve the issue is even more disappointing. I expected much better from a business that charges premium prices. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I can't recommend Blue Bowl.

They have their house-created favorites such as Amazon, Cacao, Mango Chamoy, Dragon, Green Goodness, Island, Tropical, and Very Berry Bowls or you may build your own (BYO) acai or fruit bowl. BYO works like this... you choose a size (12 oz $11, 16 oz $13, 24 oz $15 (this is a steal!), select up to two bases (acai, pitaya, matcha, coconut, cacao, and selective fruits), then fill the bowl with the toppings you want. You pay for the size you want, not for each topping that fits inside the bowl. Bases are made without cane sugar and granolas are certified gluten free. I went with the BYO 16 oz option. I had a reward for a free small smoothie on my account, and since I haven't had the best of luck…read morewith my local Jamba, I decided to try this Jamba instead. This Jamba is located on the southwest corner of Carson and Atlantic. Parking isn't too spacious here. I think I got real lucky because I saw only one spot open when I came just before 6 PM on a Tuesday, and literally a minute later, I saw a car pull into the lot and pass by; I don't think that car was able to park in the lot. They have a couple of entrances: one by the parking lot, and the other facing the intersection. I took the long way around to see the other businesses in this small plaza, and I entered through the latter entrance, where the front counter and menu were directly in front of me. A couple of customers were already inside waiting for their mozzarella sticks while another customer was at the register placing her order. That gave me ample time to decide what smoothie to get. They have two sections of smoothies on the menu, and the Super Blend section was more expensive, and likely healthier, than the Whirl'd Famous section, so I wanted something from the Super Blend section. Since I wasn't planning to eat much vegetables for dinner that evening, I wanted something with greens. There were only two smoothies on their menu with the word "greens" in the name: Apples n Greens and Greens n Ginger. I had Apples n Greens at the Cerritos location, but didn't think it was anything special, but the Greens n Ginger sounded interesting enough that I asked the first employee at the register about it. That first employee seemed to have an indifferent, and borderline condescending, attitude towards me and didn't seem as knowledgeable about the menu because she recited the ingredients of the Greens n Ginger in a rather dubious manner. I still went with it since it sounded like a winner to me. It didn't take too long for the Greens n Ginger to be ready, but that's because the customer before me had also ordered that smoothie too, which I didn't know until the second employee making the drinks said it was for the other customer. The second employee only said the drink name, which made me think that was mine even though I had a feeling it wasn't because that would have been quite a large size for a small! This is a commonality at any Jamba you go to, and I wish their corporate office would have the mindset to think of such a scenario happening at any of their locations. I made a verbal comment about the odds of such an occurrence happening, but neither employee really responded. The first employee seemed to be annoyed when I asked her a question, and she didn't really show much courtesy or even appreciation for my business. The second employee was done making my drink, and when she placed it on the pickup counter, she said they decided to make a Large for me instead. Wow! Suddenly, the vibes turned a 180 as I got a much larger drink than I deserved! I suppose they must have felt bad about pulling my leg on the other customer's drink that they thought upgrading my free drink for free would make amends? I took a sip of the smoothie, and wow, it was much more flavorful than the Apples n Greens from the Cerritos location! I didn't like, however, that it was too thick, but it was only a minor nuisance at best since I was spending a great deal of time in the shop drafting this review on my phone lol. The first employee spent some time cleaning the floors and was much more polite when she asked me to move so she could sweep the area around me. However, she and her co-worker had way too much fun with the music, which was kind of disruptive to me, but not too much. They have three tables, each of which could seat three, but the chairs don't have back rests on them. They are arranged so that customers would be facing Atlantic Ave. I probably would have given 3 stars, but I'll give a 4th since they decided to upgrade my smoothie from a Small to a Large. Also, my reward still remained on my account somehow lol.

I had a Free Birthday Scoop reward to claim on my Baskin-Robbins account. With so many…read moreBaskin-Robbins in the area, I chose this one since it was on the way to where I was planning to pick up dinner. First and foremost, don't get this location on Atlantic Ave confused with the location by the now-closed Vons in the Bixby Knolls Shopping Center. This Baskin-Robbins is in Bixby PLAZA on the southwest corner of Atlantic and 36th. CVS is the anchor store there, but Baskin-Robbins is on the other end of that strip mall, adjacent to Atlantic. I made sure to clarify the location when I gave them a call to confirm they would honor the birthday scoop. A couple reviews of the *other* Baskin-Robbins said that location doesn't honor the birthday scoop, a confuzzling mind boggler as I believe such a dishonorable act reflects upon the stinginess of a grumpy owner/manager. This location, fortunately, does honor the birthday scoop, but the girl over the phone (Amerie?) mentioned I'd need to show ID. Okay, I guess. When I got there, there was already another customer inside the shop deciding on what to get, but there was luckily a second employee, Amerie, to assist me and answer my questions. There were about 3 ice cream chests that ran the length of the shop, so you have plenty of different flavors to choose from! I thought about the Oreo 'n Cold Brew flavor, but when I asked if it had caffeine in it, Amerie answered affirmatively. It was about 6 PM when I went, and I definitely didn't want caffeine at that time of day. They do have two flavors that are NSA (No Sugar Added): Caramel Turtle Truffle and Pineapple Coconut. However, I've tried both before and was willing to try something sweeter even though I had been trying to cut down on sweets. The Reese's Peanut Butter Cup was calling my name because Reese's have been my favorite chocolate candy ever since I was a kid. The tub of Reese's was just about full, which almost made me wonder if nobody liked it as much? I was more than willing to give it a try, however! Amerie asked if I'd like a cone or a cup, but I went with a regular cup, though it confused her a bit when I accidentally called it a bowl instead. She also offered a lid as well as a takeout bag, both of which I accepted even though I would have been willing to sit inside at one of the few empty tables by the windows. As I went up to scan my rewards code, Amerie asked to see my ID. But then she muttered that she needed to write down my name and birthdate on a slip of paper. I didn't think much of it at the time after going through a pretty long and tough week, so I was like whatever. After I enjoyed my birthday scoop, I couldn't help but wonder why would they even need to keep track of my birthdate? I've been to several other Baskin-Robbins before, but this is the first time I've been asked to do this. If I had known that she'd need to write down that information first, I probably would have chosen a different Baskin-Robbins to go to as well as a different place to get dinner at. As for the ice cream itself, I took it back to my car to eat. I liked it! I could definitely taste the Reese's in the ice cream, though I thought there could have been a little more flavor without fringing into the "too much good is no good" zone. The pink spoon I was given was small, but surprisingly sturdy enough to use for my takeout dinner that evening. However, I didn't get to fully enjoy that scoop because I kept wondering why they needed to write down my name and birthday when the other locations I've visited before didn't do this. I sent in an inquiry to their customer service team, who passed it onto the team overseeing that shop and requested them to contact me. But get this, it was the *other* location on Atlantic that tried to reach out to me, so even they get their locations confused. I was also offered a receipt, which doesn't always happen when you redeem a free reward, and on the bottom of the receipt, there's a survey code where if you fill out the survey, you can save $1 on your next purchase of $4+. It's similar to what Dunkin' does on their receipts where you can earn a free donut with a drink purchase. This doesn't come as a surprise because Baskin-Robbins and Dunkin' are owned by the same company, hence why my Baskin-Robbins receipt looked exactly like a Dunkin' receipt! With Baskin-Robbins being a dime a dozen, I don't foresee a return visit to this location. It was nice to try, but my next birthday scoop will be redeemed at a different shop instead.

Came in and was immediately presented by a girl with an attitude lol. She was literally picking her…read morenails.. super disgusting! I was watching to see if she used gloves... and she did! But the food was ok nothing to rant and rave about. Got a number 2 and a number 17. Both croissants were overly toasted. It was HOTTTT in there July 2024. I think that's why she has an attitude lol. The place looked clean and it was quiet considering the neighborhood. All in all id go back if I'm in need of some food.
