I had a reward for a free small smoothie on my account, and since I haven't had the best of luck with my local Jamba, I decided to try this Jamba instead. This Jamba is located on the southwest corner of Carson and Atlantic. Parking isn't too spacious here. I think I got real lucky because I saw only one spot open when I came just before 6 PM on a Tuesday, and literally a minute later, I saw a car pull into the lot and pass by; I don't think that car was able to park in the lot. They have a couple of entrances: one by the parking lot, and the other facing the intersection. I took the long way around to see the other businesses in this small plaza, and I entered through the latter entrance, where the front counter and menu were directly in front of me. A couple of customers were already inside waiting for their mozzarella sticks while another customer was at the register placing her order. That gave me ample time to decide what smoothie to get. They have two sections of smoothies on the menu, and the Super Blend section was more expensive, and likely healthier, than the Whirl'd Famous section, so I wanted something from the Super Blend section. Since I wasn't planning to eat much vegetables for dinner that evening, I wanted something with greens. There were only two smoothies on their menu with the word "greens" in the name: Apples n Greens and Greens n Ginger. I had Apples n Greens at the Cerritos location, but didn't think it was anything special, but the Greens n Ginger sounded interesting enough that I asked the first employee at the register about it. That first employee seemed to have an indifferent, and borderline condescending, attitude towards me and didn't seem as knowledgeable about the menu because she recited the ingredients of the Greens n Ginger in a rather dubious manner. I still went with it since it sounded like a winner to me. It didn't take too long for the Greens n Ginger to be ready, but that's because the customer before me had also ordered that smoothie too, which I didn't know until the second employee making the drinks said it was for the other customer. The second employee only said the drink name, which made me think that was mine even though I had a feeling it wasn't because that would have been quite a large size for a small! This is a commonality at any Jamba you go to, and I wish their corporate office would have the mindset to think of such a scenario happening at any of their locations. I made a verbal comment about the odds of such an occurrence happening, but neither employee really responded. The first employee seemed to be annoyed when I asked her a question, and she didn't really show much courtesy or even appreciation for my business. The second employee was done making my drink, and when she placed it on the pickup counter, she said they decided to make a Large for me instead. Wow! Suddenly, the vibes turned a 180 as I got a much larger drink than I deserved! I suppose they must have felt bad about pulling my leg on the other customer's drink that they thought upgrading my free drink for free would make amends? I took a sip of the smoothie, and wow, it was much more flavorful than the Apples n Greens from the Cerritos location! I didn't like, however, that it was too thick, but it was only a minor nuisance at best since I was spending a great deal of time in the shop drafting this review on my phone lol. The first employee spent some time cleaning the floors and was much more polite when she asked me to move so she could sweep the area around me. However, she and her co-worker had way too much fun with the music, which was kind of disruptive to me, but not too much. They have three tables, each of which could seat three, but the chairs don't have back rests on them. They are arranged so that customers would be facing Atlantic Ave. I probably would have given 3 stars, but I'll give a 4th since they decided to upgrade my smoothie from a Small to a Large. Also, my reward still remained on my account somehow lol. read more

I had the pleasure of meeting General Manager Stativa (I hope I'm spelling her name correctly) who was working the front of house -- which I was REALLY impressed by -- and one of her staff were working back house. Stativa was so kind and personable -- making my smoothie all the while continuing our conversation. The fact that Stativa was out on the floor taking/ making orders AND holding conversation with patrons... It was REALLY refreshing to see such a down-to-earth display. 01/07/25: i went to order a drink and get two shots, i ordered a strawberry Surfrider with extra strawberries. The young lady who helped me had nails ( black and white ) then their was another lady who looked like she was fairly new making the drinks. Also Jamba Juice, you all gave a gift card that was sitting in my wallet for a month and the letters completely faded! Terrible experience today. Sadly this is one of many. This location is a few blocks away from my home, which is why kept going back. Today is the last time I waste my money here. I am usually embraced with poor attitude and a hurried unprofessional meeting with employees. Today, after again noticing that my large cups continue to be short at least 2 ounces of the juice. I asked why the drinks are consistently short. "Carlos"and "Devin" responded by saying each recipe only makes 28 ounces, and there is nothing they can do about it. yet, they still serve you in and charge you for a 30 ounce cup. This location is knowingly charging you full price for a large, but cutting the ounces you receive based on "the recipe?" Both Carlos and Devin were extremely disrespectful and rude. I asked for a refund. Devin threw a "temper tantrum" changing his tone and demeanor because he did not know how to issue the refund and because he was unable to control where I placed my cups while waiting. He grabbed my cups, anxiously walked them near the exit, sat them down hurriedly and told me to wait 15 minutes? After waiting, they refused to provide a receipt documenting my refund and "said" a refund would be completed later. In closing, this location should not be charging anyone for an amount they knowingly are not selling... I am also a business owner. The Jamba Juice on Atlantic opens at 8 AM. I arrive there at 8:20. There were two ladies parked outside telling me that the gentleman told them that he had to use the bathroom. Both doors were locked. Worst experience. Went here to get a juice since the original juice place I wanted was closed and then definitely realized this is why I don't go here. The cashier didn't even say anything but are you ready. Then went ahead and ordered a ginger shot along with a green juice but was told that they only had cucumber then I went ahead and asked for another juice and then he said we only have cucumber and shows me the bucket of a cucumber and a half not even an apology for not having anything to make any of the juices on the menu. Underprepared! Normally this Jamba is pretty fast and on it. However, do not go in on a Saturday morning. Got here at 7:25 AM (they open at 7 AM) and the guy is barely clocking in and turning on the machines. He's running around like he has no idea what's going on. To be honest it looked like he just showed up. After I order, he tells me my pretzel might not be warmed up because the machine has to warm up and I say it's fine I'll just take them as is, no need to warm them up. He goes to the bathroom, come outs and looks at the toaster oven panicky and I repeat "It's okay I can just take the pretzels without being warmed, just go ahead and start the smoothies." He proceeds to grab the blenders. Another person walks in to order and he hasn't even started on my smoothies yet. This is about 7 minutes later. The person leaves and he finally starts on my smoothies. Talk about unprepared! What would you have done if I showed up at 7 AM when you opened? About 20 minutes later my smoothies are ready and they are over filled and spilling everywhere. Of course there are no napkins out because they are not prepared. I ask him for napkins, he says sorry, and hands me a couple and makes me clean them up. I had a poor experience with one of the girls whose name was Stephanie, she made my drink with the wrong milk and when I politely asked for a remake of the drink she gave me attitude and kept asking what was wrong with the drink even though I kept repeating myself.
