I will say that Jamaican Flavors is now a bi-weekly thing for my family and I. We all LOVE their boneless jerk chicken with coco bread. I'm going to add something else to our order next time. I have to read some more reviews on their other foods. Alex is the man at this place

    Mild Beef Patty! Delish!

My kids and I tried this location for the first time about two weeks ago and have been addicted since! We tried the mild beef, bbq chicken, curry chicken, and chicken patties, along with the coco bread! The patty quality is great and the staff are always pleasant! I wish that the owner would consider opening a bigger location in Baldwin or any of neighboring villages, because it draws a crowd and sometimes you have to wait upwards of 30min or more for the patties to be ready. This happens when I drive just 10min to Baldwin or when I decided to do DoorDash or UberEats... that's the only frustration, but it isn't the staffs fault. The demand is there and the size of the Baldwin location can only prepare and put out but so many patties at one time. They often run out of things... it's simply supply and demand. I hope the owner reads and takes heed! Open a bigger location, offering all the food items you're known for, along with the patties. You guys have A LOT of Caribbean folks on the Island.. and even those of other races that love Caribbean food, just do it already! You'll make the money and have the support of ppl such as myself! Blessings!

The food here hit the spot! Service was great and the staff is very friendly. I'm glad I came across this location because I will definitely be back whenever I'm in the area.

Vegetable patty - cabbage, carrots, broccoli and corn. Wheat crust.

The patties here are wonderfully seasoned and baked. I've tried most of them but today I was hoping to get the ackee and salt fish patty but they were no more. So I chose the veggie patty and I couldn't be happier. Try the for yourself. PS: the cakes a great also. Super moist and fresh baked. Today I shared the carrot cake with 2 others.

I feel like the people around me know food better than I do. There recommendations have been spot on. My brother's friend told us, we never tried beef patties, until we try "Jamaican Flavors" patties. Me being busy, I didn't go right away, but my brother did. He called me as soon as he tried it and said it was amazing. Well, at that point, I made it my business to go. We got there early because Yelp said they opened at 10am....but that is wrong, they open at 11am. No worries, we just sat in my brother suv and talked. Once we got to the door two people came behind us. They were waiting as well. When the door opened at 11am on the dot, the line of five turned into a line of fifteen. I couldn't believe it. The building is small, it has no seating, and there's only to people taking orders. But the food was cooked early and hot. They took our order and mentioned if you buy ten, then you get two free. Between three of us, we made it work. We got ten and as promised two free. The young gentleman behind the counter was friendly and quick. He took our order and made them quick. When it was time to pay, I loved that they took Apple-pay. We got the food and headed out. Sitting in my brothers suv, it was a mistake to eat them right away. You couldn't just eat one. The flaky outside was perfect. The meaty inside was seasoned with there own seasonings and it was incredible. I couldn't believe I never came here sooner. It was the most delicious beef patty I ever had. My brothers friend is vegan, and you guyed it, they offer vegan pattie's. This place is worth the trip. It was recommended by enough people in my life. Just make sure you get there early yo avoid the line.

this my 3rd year getting my daughters birthday cake from them & they get better every year. the picture speaks for itself!

    Partially eaten ackee pattie, sorry
    Melissa W.

Stopped here to get a box of frozen uncooked patties for a friend because they said these are the best. They also sell them cooked as individual patties . I got one with ackee in it and it was very tasty and delicious and they don't skimp. It's a nice size filling. Try it if you are looking to try authentic Jamaican patties

We clearly agreed that the cake would match a reference photo, including specific colors and Spiderman eye decorations. The manager reviewed the image with me and allowed me to take a photo of her phone showing the exact design we agreed upon. When my husband arrived to pick up the cake--after the promised pickup time--the cake was brought out, but the manager quickly asked for it to be returned to the kitchen because it was not ready. At that point, it was clear the cake was also missing the agreed‑upon decorations. I spoke directly with the manager, who then denied ever agreeing to include the Spiderman eyes, despite having reviewed and approved the design earlier. Most concerning, my husband later observed the manager alter the photo on her phone, removing the decorations we had discussed. Additional requested decorations were also not put on the cake. It has now been weeks, and no one has followed up, despite being told the owner would contact me. For the price and the importance of the occasion, this level of disorganization, lack of accountability, and dishonesty is unacceptable. I expected professionalism, transparency, and follow‑through--and received none.

    ### 5-Star Review for Kookaburra Coffee Co…read more **Absolutely the Best Coffee Experience - Hospitality That Warms the Heart!** I popped into Kookaburra Coffee Co. while visiting the area, craving a good coffee and a few pastries to go with it. As I reached the counter, I noticed the sign: cash only. I realized I didn't have any on me - oops! The owner couldn't have been kinder or more generous. Even after I mentioned I don't live locally and wouldn't be back for months, he insisted on giving me the coffee and pastries on the house. What incredible hospitality in a world where that's rare! And the treats? Phenomenal. The coffee was hands-down the best I've ever had - rich, perfectly brewed, and full of flavor. The cornbread was insanely delicious, moist and flavorful in a way that elevated a simple classic. Then there were these gorgeous pretzel threads (like delicate, twisted pretzel bites) that were addictive - salty, crunchy perfection. This little gem in Long Island (with spots in Rockville Centre and Malverne) is worth seeking out. Pro tip: Bring cash! But even if you forget, you might just encounter the kind of genuine kindness that makes the visit unforgettable. I'll be dreaming about that coffee until my next trip back. Highly recommend!

Visit Date: April 28, 2026…read more I came to Kookaburra before my endocrinologist appointment. It was in my LI Cafe Passport book. I've noticed some reviews say they are cash only, I paid in cash but I also saw some customers using debit cards. I got my dad a bag of coffee because I have Christmas money I had saved to take him out and we only went to Panera a few times so I've been buying him bags of coffee from the nice coffee shops. I got an iced cafe mocha with half and half. It was very good, creamy, chocolately and it gave a nice buzzzz. The coffee shop itself is very small, most of the space is dedicated to their coffee machines and food service. There is limited seating outside but it's not a place where they encourage you to stay and hang out after you get your coffee. It's still good though. It's more of a grab and go coffee spot. They also have no bathrooms but if you ask for a bathroom they will refer you to the train station or the cathedral near the coffee shop. I would recommend coming here for coffee it's really good but if you're looking to linger you can't.
