Food is mid. I mean your typically brunch spot. Standard overpriced eggs and what not. I do like that they switch up the menu frequently. Do not order pick up. There is no system in place. You pick up at the bar but no one is actually responsible for take out. So you ask the hostess they tell you to go to the bar but the only people there are waitresses and the bar tender. We normally head to The Bungalow for an early breakfast, but the last time we went it was closed for repairs, so we stumbled across this place instead. My first impression was just how big it is! There are multiple levels of seating and a large bar, giving it a lively atmosphere. I was honestly surprised to see how busy it was on a weekday morning, but that only got me more excited, it usually means a place has built a loyal following for a good reason. With only two stomachs to work with, we wanted to try as much as possible. We ordered eggs over medium with bacon, home fries, and toast, a short stack of pancakes with sausage, and biscuits and gravy. I'll just say it, this place knows how to make breakfast. Everything we ordered was done really well, and I honestly don't have many notes. The biscuits and gravy were excellent. The gravy was rich and flavorful, and the biscuit was soft, buttery, and the perfect pairing. I'm not usually a pancake person, but these were fantastic. Add some real maple syrup and a bite of sausage, and it was the perfect combination. I also can't finish this review without mentioning the Bloody Marys. If you're a Bloody Mary fan, these are elite. This place is beautiful inside! The gold and the dark blue walls just really gorgeous. The service was amazing and sweet and very attentive. The menu has a lot going on but covers a-lot of different type of brunch dishes. All the food was delicious and tasty especially the dip for my sweet potato fries. I had to minus 1 star for the sweet potato pancakes because they were super dry (even with the syrup) and falling apart when picking up with the fork. There are two levels and the upper level can be used for private events since it has a bar available to serve drinks if necessary. We were taken to our seats about 10 minutes after arrival. Joining the waitlist is highly recommended. Our servers never announced who they were as many establishments do at the beginning of the ordering process. We were asked for our drinks and they did not have any oat milk available (wasn't delivered yet...we were told). Food were served relatively quickly once the orders were taken. We ordered a millionaire sandwich, a chicken & waffle, a bad Larry sandwich and a butternut & corn soup. The soup was a bit of a let down. It didn't have a heavy butternut flavor which is the headliner. Everything else was ok but nothing out of the ordinary. Prices on the menu reflect cash prices and credit card prices. Food was great, service was just ok. We loved the menu options for brunch and was excited to try for the first time. While the food for the most part was good, service was inconsistent. We had to ask a few times for condiments missing from our orders (gravy, syrup, etc) and water. In addition two dishes didn't come out as described but we were not informed why. Corned beef hash with caramelized brussel sprouts had green peppers instead, biscuits and gravy comes as a Benedict by default unless you ask for it as a side if you just want gravy and biscuits. It's also just one biscuit cut in half not two biscuits. Sweet potato pancakes and waffles are good if you love sweet potatoes otherwise it's heavy and filling so you may want to share. We signed up for the loyalty program but the server didn't ask before we paid and then I was told the points for our bill couldn't be added after. We also were not informed how to take avail of the free stack of pancakes they offer if you sign up. So service to me would be a deterrent to go back anytime soon but the food was worth another visit overall. read more

I tried to find even one redeeming quality about this spot and it is this- the bathrooms are lovely. Very nice bathrooms indeed. But the service sucks, the food is SO bad and why bother when there are at least a dozen other local spots for brekky?! Absolutely delightful! Tanya was our waitress and she was so friendly and extremely knowledgeable when it came to the menu! The ambience is "homey" laid back with a contemporary feel. I want to like this place because I do Like the food and I've gone back several times despite a problem with the service every time . They always forget to bring something. Today was the last straw I went there with my family they brought everybody's food out except my 4 year old grandsons we told 3 different people they assured us it was coming out soon but it wasn't till a manager came out to ask if everything was ok we then mentioned my grandson never got his food. It finally came out after we were all finished eating . They did end up picking up the check but I would have preferred enjoying the meal with my family and paying the bill . So happy they opened a nassau county location!! We loved going to the one in bayshore even though it was a bit of a drive. So when i heard i opened one in long beach, i was like YESSSS! They have the most amazing chicken n waffles. They actually have two varieties and each is as good as the other. I love trying out their monthly specials. The churros french toast February special, needs to be a permanent menu item. From presentation to taste, it was incredible! We always have a fantastic experience here, the service is always great. We came at 11:30am on a Friday, so we didn't think it would be too crowded, but we still had to wait about 40 minutes to be seated. This is just something to keep in mind if you come during the weekend. I didn't really mind the wait though because I enjoyed this restaurant. It seemed like there was something for everyone on the menu - they even have a bunch of vegan options for those with dietary restrictions. I got a salted caramel iced latte and avocado BLT toast. The coffee was amazing. The toast was really good too, and it came with a side of home fries. It says on the menu that it has bacon jam, but I was able to swap this out with actual bacon pieces. The staff is very friendly. We were greeted warmly, sat very quickly and our server Jay way very attentive. Both the General Manager and the Kitchen manager made the rounds to check on things. The food was outstanding (Breakfast Sandwich and Avacado Toast) and fairly priced, especially considering the large portions. House made Home Fries were the star.
