Tried Toast for brunch and it did not disappoint! The pineapple coconut mimosa was refreshing and perfectly balanced--not too sweet, just right. The carrot cake French toast was definitely the highlight--soft, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. It really tasted like carrot cake in the best way possible.I also had the Bendito burrito, which was hearty and packed with flavor. Everything tasted fresh and well-made. Overall, a great brunch spot with delicious food and drinks. I'll definitely be back!

Went to toast for brunch w my girls and it was amazing. Their coffee selection is delicious, I tried the Nutella banana latte and it was delicious! Love their cheddar grits and I got an omelette which was perfect! Our waitress was a young man and he was great! No complaints

Service lovely. Menu amazing. Food coming out of kitchen looks great. 3 stars for lack of heat. Nothing was even warm. Asked for well done home fries. They were browned but cold. Eggs Benedict also cold. And both lacked flavor. Hubby's roast beef sandwich lacked flavor. The sweet potato fries were cold. Place looks cool inside and wished the food lived up to the menu descriptions and the way the food looks.

I must start by commending how outstanding the sweet potato fries were! Crispy perfection! So glad we ordered a side to share. As for food, I prefer the caprese avocado toast but I'm glad I tried this one. The egg was perfectly runny. Side Greek salad is my favorite side here. The mimosa flight had one clear stand out, the coconut one!

This place is beautiful inside! The gold and the dark blue walls just really gorgeous. The service was amazing and sweet and very attentive. The menu has a lot going on but covers a-lot of different type of brunch dishes. All the food was delicious and tasty especially the dip for my sweet potato fries. I had to minus 1 star for the sweet potato pancakes because they were super dry (even with the syrup) and falling apart when picking up with the fork. I will be coming back to try other things off the menu for sure.

Service was great. But I'm 0 for 2 in my experience here with the food. The roasted peach avocado toast was inedible and the Bloody Mary mix would probably be better coming out of a can.

I am someone who is very particular with thier eggs and enjoyed seeing the Toast breakfast skillets on the menu; softly scrambled eggs in a skillet over hashbrowns- this is my language!! I sat at the bar and my server was very attentive and very nice. She made recommendations and shared a lot of her favorites with me. I had a mocha iced latte, but cannot wait to come back and try the espresso martini when dry January is over! This place is nicely lit and very modern classic in its feel. The location is prime, it's sits directly across from the railroad on Long Beach road! Prices are reasonable!

Fun brunch spot with a big menu. They don't take reservations but you can join the waitlist before coming so it helps with the wait time. Had the Denver skillet and it was good, as was the bloody. My husband had the corned beef hash and he really enjoyed it. Service is friendly and prices are very fair.

Nice place and atmosphere. Much bigger inside than it appears outside. There are two levels and the upper level can be used for private events since it has a bar available to serve drinks if necessary. We were taken to our seats about 10 minutes after arrival. Joining the waitlist is highly recommended. Our servers never announced who they were as many establishments do at the beginning of the ordering process. We were asked for our drinks and they did not have any oat milk available (wasn't delivered yet...we were told). Food were served relatively quickly once the orders were taken. We ordered a millionaire sandwich, a chicken & waffle, a bad Larry sandwich and a butternut & corn soup. The soup was a bit of a let down. It didn't have a heavy butternut flavor which is the headliner. Everything else was ok but nothing out of the ordinary. Prices on the menu reflect cash prices and credit card prices. You save 3% when paying with cash.

A standard diner with lots of options and lots of seating. Make sure you get a reservation because this place will pack out. The food and drinks are good. I had an espresso martini and it was great. I got a breakfast platter with eggs, bacon, home fries and sugar cookie pancakes. I was really unimpressed with the pancakes... icing was only on the top and the pancakes were very dry. The eggs were great tough, the cheese on top brought it together. The home fries are great too.

Great menu with delicious meals all around! Our waiter, Gianni, was superb, friendly, fast and competent. The sweet manager, Gaya, made us feel welcome and the decor is so warm and festive. Lattes are perfect. You won't be disappointed here! 10 stars!

They were packed so they seated us at the last 2 seats left at the bar near the host stand. There was an acoustic singer and guitar player adding to the energetic ambience. We were handed the place mats and menus upon seating. Then it took about 15 min to order a drink. Then another 25 min before we could place our food order. The female bartender was attentive to all the parties around us, and people who came in after us seemed to be a priority. The barback finally noticed us and helped us while he was also busting out drinks. He noticed we were trying to get her attention so he stepped in kindly and took our order. We ordered the Grilled Artichokes, the Burger, and Chicken Carbonara. (Wanted the Bolognese but someone had just ordered the last one by 8pm?!) She never checked in for a second round, so we didn't bother after about 20 min we gave up. The Artichokes came out about 20 min after ordering. They plopped them in front of us, no utensils or napkins. I had to ask the barback for some. The busser seemed disgruntled a said they only had forks. Had to flag someone else for napkins, and they brought us a pile of c-fold paper towels, when they usually have cloth napkins as we noticed with patrons who came in after us. My sis-in-law and I wolf down the 4 pieces of artichokes, using our fork and hands to cut into pieces (no knife). Then another 30 min before our mains come out. Couldn't even ask anyone for a food status update, so just tried to enjoy the live music and each other's company to distract from hunger pangs. The burger and carbonara finally show and looks great. The portions were generous. Fries were a little blonde and just underdone but seasoned enough. The carbonara was delicious as well, nice and al dente. We enjoyed our food and chatted. Music was on the louder side but for a Friday night at 8ish pm, that is not uncalled for. The restaurant started to end their rush and the bar emptied out a tad, but the service did not improve. Asked for the bill and to-go containers as soon as I could flag someone bc I knew it would take awhile to get them. Of course when getting the bill things progressed speedily, so we paid and tried to get out as soon as we were done. The staff there was hot and cold. Barback was helpful and everyone else seemed "annoyed" to have to help us with simple requests that shouldn't have to be requested to begin with. Again I understand rushes happen and staff can become overwhelmed. The bar team had to service the bar and some high tops nearby plus make drinks for the rest of the restaurant, so I understand the volume was high, but again the management team should plan accordingly to make sure the diners do not have to feel the lag in the service. Food was good but left a little disappointed from the service.

The menu is appreciably huge, boasting everything from breakfast to sandwiches to pastas and much, much, more. About the only thing here that doesn't recall a bygone era is the pricing, which is high even by 21st-century Long Island standards. Laurel does at least offer rather generous portions (plus free coleslaw and pickles), but the food is nothing special. I went with a pastrami Reuben and a side salad in place of fries. The sandwich satisfied a craving though the meat was a bit chewy. It feels almost blasphemous, but I can get a better version down in North Carolina for about half the $20-plus cost. To Laurel's credit, the staff were at least attentive and accommodating. For those who grew up with diners like this or simply want a lot of options to choose from, Laurel Diner holds a certain appeal. Remove nostalgia from the equation, however, and it offers neither particularly good food nor a good value.
