My son has been here before and recommended it for our brunch/breakfast - it was a Friday. Took awhile for any one to acknowledge us and get seated. Service did improve after we got seated. Food was good and nice portions, although pricy. $75+ (including tip) for two - two plates, a coffee and a Bloody Mary. read more

We normally head to The Bungalow for an early breakfast, but the last time we went it was closed for repairs, so we stumbled across this place instead. My first impression was just how big it is! There are multiple levels of seating and a large bar, giving it a lively atmosphere. I was honestly surprised to see how busy it was on a weekday morning, but that only got me more excited, it usually means a place has built a loyal following for a good reason. With only two stomachs to work with, we wanted to try as much as possible. We ordered eggs over medium with bacon, home fries, and toast, a short stack of pancakes with sausage, and biscuits and gravy. I'll just say it, this place knows how to make breakfast. Everything we ordered was done really well, and I honestly don't have many notes. The biscuits and gravy were excellent. The gravy was rich and flavorful, and the biscuit was soft, buttery, and the perfect pairing. I'm not usually a pancake person, but these were fantastic. Add some real maple syrup and a bite of sausage, and it was the perfect combination. I also can't finish this review without mentioning the Bloody Marys. If you're a Bloody Mary fan, these are elite. Seriously, one of the best I've had. We'll definitely be back. read more

They set the standard for brunch! The wait is typically long so I join the wait list before I leave the house. Once arriving I was sat quickly. I always love the seasonal/specials menu! It's a pretty decent sized spaced with an upstairs and downstairs. It reminds me of First Watch. Overall i'll continue to return! read more

I love this place! As a Latino, I was pleasantly surprised to see a breakfast with pernil on the menu!!!! The staff is super friendly and the place is super spacious. I'm not sure how long toasted has been here on Long Beach but I certainly hope it has a lot more years in them because this place is awesome! read more

Tried Toast for brunch and it did not disappoint! The pineapple coconut mimosa was refreshing and perfectly balanced--not too sweet, just right. The carrot cake French toast was definitely the highlight--soft, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. It really tasted like carrot cake in the best way possible.I also had the Bendito burrito, which was hearty and packed with flavor. Everything tasted fresh and well-made. Overall, a great brunch spot with delicious food and drinks. I'll definitely be back! read more

Service lovely. Menu amazing. Food coming out of kitchen looks great. 3 stars for lack of heat. Nothing was even warm. Asked for well done home fries. They were browned but cold. Eggs Benedict also cold. And both lacked flavor. Hubby's roast beef sandwich lacked flavor. The sweet potato fries were cold. Place looks cool inside and wished the food lived up to the menu descriptions and the way the food looks. read more

I must start by commending how outstanding the sweet potato fries were! Crispy perfection! So glad we ordered a side to share. As for food, I prefer the caprese avocado toast but I'm glad I tried this one. The egg was perfectly runny. Side Greek salad is my favorite side here. The mimosa flight had one clear stand out, the coconut one! read more

This place is beautiful inside! The gold and the dark blue walls just really gorgeous. The service was amazing and sweet and very attentive. The menu has a lot going on but covers a-lot of different type of brunch dishes. All the food was delicious and tasty especially the dip for my sweet potato fries. I had to minus 1 star for the sweet potato pancakes because they were super dry (even with the syrup) and falling apart when picking up with the fork. I will be coming back to try other things off the menu for sure. read more

Always a good time and worth the wait. There's a lot of tables and it's never as long as they say it will be. Food and drinks are delicious! Always a friendly atmosphere with familiar faces. Chill vibes and a great way to start the morning. read more

My friend and I stopped at Toast after the beach because it caught our eye and we wanted to give it a try. Unfortunately, the experience was really disappointing. When we walked in, the restaurant didn't seem very clean, which made me a little uncomfortable, but we decided to stay and give it a chance anyway. Then my friend found a huge hair in her food, which completely ruined the experience for both of us. Between the cleanliness of the restaurant and finding a hair in the food, I was honestly grossed out. Personally, I would never step foot in this restaurant again. I really wanted to like it, but unfortunately our experience was enough for me not to return. read more

Service was great. But I'm 0 for 2 in my experience here with the food. The roasted peach avocado toast was inedible and the Bloody Mary mix would probably be better coming out of a can. read more

I am someone who is very particular with thier eggs and enjoyed seeing the Toast breakfast skillets on the menu; softly scrambled eggs in a skillet over hashbrowns- this is my language!! I sat at the bar and my server was very attentive and very nice. She made recommendations and shared a lot of her favorites with me. I had a mocha iced latte, but cannot wait to come back and try the espresso martini when dry January is over! This place is nicely lit and very modern classic in its feel. The location is prime, it's sits directly across from the railroad on Long Beach road! Prices are reasonable! read more

Fun brunch spot with a big menu. They don't take reservations but you can join the waitlist before coming so it helps with the wait time. Had the Denver skillet and it was good, as was the bloody. My husband had the corned beef hash and he really enjoyed it. Service is friendly and prices are very fair. read more

Nice place and atmosphere. Much bigger inside than it appears outside. There are two levels and the upper level can be used for private events since it has a bar available to serve drinks if necessary. We were taken to our seats about 10 minutes after arrival. Joining the waitlist is highly recommended. Our servers never announced who they were as many establishments do at the beginning of the ordering process. We were asked for our drinks and they did not have any oat milk available (wasn't delivered yet...we were told). Food were served relatively quickly once the orders were taken. We ordered a millionaire sandwich, a chicken & waffle, a bad Larry sandwich and a butternut & corn soup. The soup was a bit of a let down. It didn't have a heavy butternut flavor which is the headliner. Everything else was ok but nothing out of the ordinary. Prices on the menu reflect cash prices and credit card prices. You save 3% when paying with cash. read more

Food is mid. I mean your typically brunch spot. Standard overpriced eggs and what not. I do like that they switch up the menu frequently. Do not order pick up. There is no system in place. You pick up at the bar but no one is actually responsible for take out. So you ask the hostess they tell you to go to the bar but the only people there are waitresses and the bar tender. So it takes forever to flag someone down to get your food that you can see is just sitting there lol. read more

A standard diner with lots of options and lots of seating. Make sure you get a reservation because this place will pack out. The food and drinks are good. I had an espresso martini and it was great. I got a breakfast platter with eggs, bacon, home fries and sugar cookie pancakes. I was really unimpressed with the pancakes... icing was only on the top and the pancakes were very dry. The eggs were great tough, the cheese on top brought it together. The home fries are great too. read more

D E L I C I O U S ‼‼ Woahhhhh this place does it right!!! F'N BREAKFAST!!!! First time here and i already know i have to come back. The menu is expansive! I mean it will hit every desire you can have and you know me, i order two meals for myself always, but, im coming back for sure. Decorate very cool and the place is hugeeeeeee but beware it does seem to get packed and there will be a wait. They do offer a waitlist option which i def recommend and although you may wait.... WELLLLLL WORTH IT !!! I ordered a mimosa flight to start, not my normal but it looked delicious and that it was. Theres a few different choices and you get yo design it yourself. For my meals, plural yes, i got brooklyn french toast (cheesecake stuffed) and an order of the grilled cheese trio with sweet potato fries. I did not go wrong!!! Large servings and super tasty!!!! Ill include pictures because i mean it was beautiful. I cant wait to fome back to this spot, beyond the food everyone was super friendly and very smiley woth just as nice of a crowd. Theres a bar area to sit and eat but has not so many seats and was already fillex up by the time my buddy and i walked in. read more

Food was great, service was just ok. We loved the menu options for brunch and was excited to try for the first time. While the food for the most part was good, service was inconsistent. We had to ask a few times for condiments missing from our orders (gravy, syrup, etc) and water. In addition two dishes didn't come out as described but we were not informed why. Corned beef hash with caramelized brussel sprouts had green peppers instead, biscuits and gravy comes as a Benedict by default unless you ask for it as a side if you just want gravy and biscuits. It's also just one biscuit cut in half not two biscuits. Sweet potato pancakes and waffles are good if you love sweet potatoes otherwise it's heavy and filling so you may want to share. We signed up for the loyalty program but the server didn't ask before we paid and then I was told the points for our bill couldn't be added after. We also were not informed how to take avail of the free stack of pancakes they offer if you sign up. So service to me would be a deterrent to go back anytime soon but the food was worth another visit overall. read more

I cannot fathom why people come here. I tried this spot THREE times against my better judgment and each time was worse than the last. The food tastes so awful-- I'm sorry but it does. I tried to find even one redeeming quality about this spot and it is this- the bathrooms are lovely. Very nice bathrooms indeed. But the service sucks, the food is SO bad and why bother when there are at least a dozen other local spots for brekky?! The last time we came here, a glass of water spilled on my child's food so they offered a new plate, which we graciously accepted. They ended up charging us for both plates lol. I cannot make this stuff up. Just go to the diner or literally anywhere else !! read more

Absolutely delightful! Tanya was our waitress and she was so friendly and extremely knowledgeable when it came to the menu! The ambience is "homey" laid back with a contemporary feel. Currently my favorite place for breakfast in Long Beach. Food is absolutely delicious every-time I go and portions are large. I love that they always have special drinks and a special menu. I really enjoyed our time here . We had no reservations and had no clue how busy it would be so when she said the wait was going to be an hour and a half I was completely upset (mainly because I was so hungry) but the bar was 1st come 1st serve and a couple was leaving , that was my queue . We sat , ordered and waited . The bartenders were nice , and heavy handed (which helped) the food was tasty. My french toast selection was alittle too sweet but who told me to order apple strudel french toast anyway . Our drinks were good tho . I dont even drink coffee but that flight was interesting (rough but good) would I come back ? Eh maybe . read more

So happy they opened a nassau county location!! We loved going to the one in bayshore even though it was a bit of a drive. So when i heard i opened one in long beach, i was like YESSSS! They have the most amazing chicken n waffles. They actually have two varieties and each is as good as the other. I love trying out their monthly specials. The churros french toast February special, needs to be a permanent menu item. From presentation to taste, it was incredible! We always have a fantastic experience here, the service is always great. I want to like this place because I do Like the food and I've gone back several times despite a problem with the service every time . They always forget to bring something. Today was the last straw I went there with my family they brought everybody's food out except my 4 year old grandsons we told 3 different people they assured us it was coming out soon but it wasn't till a manager came out to ask if everything was ok we then mentioned my grandson never got his food. It finally came out after we were all finished eating . They did end up picking up the check but I would have preferred enjoying the meal with my family and paying the bill . Unfortunately we will never go back. read more
