Great place! Came in with my fiancé and mechanic to test ride my boat for any detailing needed, parked right on the dock and walked in for brunch. I HIGHLY recommend the mussels! I'm a huge frantic and they beat my favorite spot to go to for mussels! Staff is super! They have banquet style dining available, which I will be utilizing when I plan another trip with a group of friends. My girlfriend and I came to the bungalow one afternoon to grab a quick bite to eat and try a new place. I haven't been to. We come into the establishment and there is no one here. With no one being there, it either means that we are going to get great service or it's a bad sign. Unfortunately, it was the later of the two. Essentially the service was extremely slow, I have to mention again we were the only ones there at the restaurant, the food was way below par and there was a lot to be desired. Usually food in Long beaches, more expensive than other spots on the island, but you expect it to be decent at least. I went here for breakfast with my boyfriend and it was alright. To be honest the worst part about it was our service. Both the lady at the counter and our server were on their phones the entire time. When we wanted to order, needed more drinks, needed the sauce (that he forgot) and even when we needed to pay we had to waive/yell for the server to come back and serve us. This was a great place that we stumbled upon for a late lunch/early dinner. They have a little bit of everything on their extensive menu, so you can literally pop on in whenever for whatever you might like to eat. At first glance, we were under the impression that this was a quick to go spot, but we were pleasantly surprised when we learned they had sit-down service. At the time we went, there weren't many diners, but we opted to sit down outside where a table was set up for four. It was quite comfortable as we were under an awning and had plenty of room. Menus were brought out, and this was a monstrosity of a menu. Although the breakfast items looked amazing, I was feeling more of a lunch vibe. I decided to go for the "Honey Mustard Chicken Panini". I had the option to choose grilled or crispy chicken. I went with crispy chicken and it made for a great choice! Our food came out relatively quickly. My panini came with tortilla chips, which I am partial to instead of fries as I never usually finish my fries. The panini itself was huge and very tasty. You can definitely tell it wasn't just microwaved or sloppily put together. I am intrigued and would definitely like to try other menu items. The place itself has a VERY beachy vibe and a great spot to stop at after all day in the sand. My only critique was that even though the service was good, I feel like they weren't really very friendly. You can tell that it was their "job" to be working and to serve us. You cannot beat $1 flat delivery - especially on a Friday! We spent Friday night working on homework (riveting, I know), and were not in the mood to cook, and couldn't decide on a type of food, so decided to give the Bungalow a try and am super happy we did. I got the black bean burrito with avocado and it was SO good - I'm excited to get it again (I'm always in the mood for a good burrito). We also got an order of sweet potato fries, and regular fries - because of the delivery they were a little cold, but still pretty solid. Between 3 burritos, two sides, delivery and tip it came out to $50 - not bad for dinner for 3 on a Friday night. They have a huge menu, and the smoothies look like they may be something I go back to on a warm day, but I don't doubt I'll be ordering from here more regularly. read more

Having recently become LB locals, we were told by many of our friends to stop by the Bungalow for lunch. Today we finally did! They have a HUGE menu with an unbelievable amount of vegetarian friendly options (score!). We all had a tough time choosing between smoothies, omelettes, wraps, paninis and even burritos. I ended up getting the butternut omelette and we shared the guac appetizer (which was actually pretty big). Mine was delicious and a pretty decent size too. Perfect for lunch! Great smoothies, thats the best thing you can get there. The entrees and apps are average. Breakfast is popular, but theres nothing special about any meals here. Its a bit over priced for what you get, however. Environment is nice, tiki bar style, a plus in summer. This is their differentiator.m, and its nice. Location on too of high speed traffic on East Park Avenue isn't nice. Eating outdoors in Long Beach in summers is nice in general, and they make a good effort with palms and flowers, but sitting a foot or two from disgusting piles of garbage is sickening. After experiencing that twice, I haven't been back. Its smells and is really gross. They also have an annoying $15 or more minimum on credit cards. Fine for a restaurant, which they try to be --but when you run in for a pricey smoothie, its an inconvenience that annoys me in a world fast abandoning cash only. Another reason I haven't been back in months --and I used to have breakfast, lunch or a smoothie a few times a week during the summer. I realize they cant handle the business in the summer and probably don't care, but losing regular customers (Im one of at least half a dozen I know of) over filthy smelly piles of garbage directly adjacent to an eating area, frustrating payment methods (including no Apple Pay) and average food at above somewhat average prices makes a three star review more than generous. If I hear they improved basic customer service and cleanliness fixed, Id try them again. Not before, unfortunately. read more

The Bungalow is one of my go to spots in the west end. It is open early and has breakfast options all day unlike many other places in the west end. Also they have many options and food is always good. My recommendations are the fries, bean burrito, chips and guacamole, and their french toast. However there service could be more attentive, prices could be lower, and I do not like their smoothies. All in all this place is still a nice place to stop at! read more

I've only eaten food from The Bungalow on a few occasions, but it was either to go or for breakfast, so I can't really comment on the service because it's usually pretty quiet at 9am anyway. Either way, the menu is exceptionally vast as far as sandwiches are concerned - you can really get anything you are craving, because they probably have it in a wrap or panini. Their breakfast menu is also amazing - lots of breakfast burritos, pancakes or even shakes for all of you health freaks to choose from. It is a little pricy for just a wrap, but maybe I have been living outside of the US too long, which is why I also think the size of the wraps are humungous! Only one complaint from my English hubby - no brown sauce (HP sauce)! But that is easily fixed by bringing your own bottle if you need it that badly on your eggs! read more

Craziest experience I ever had ordering delivery. I called for a delivery and a woman picked up the phone, when I asked for delivery she said okay hold on and put the phone down. She did not put it on hold so I could hear everything. I heard her making smoothies or something and talking to people. So I hang up after a few minutes and called again and she literally did the exact same thing. So I gave it one more shot since I really was craving the place and she did it again. I couldn't believe it I hung up and called again and was gonna ask to speak to the manager and now the line was busy, obviously from her leaving three lines open. Just a decent place to grab a sandwich if you don't want to belly up somewhere. Bungalow is basically a diner with a beach theme, the menu is sandwiches and burgers and quesadillas. They serve breakfast too, eggs, pancakes and the like. Everything I've had there is just....decent. It filled me up, it was satisfactory, can't really complain. If there was one thing about bungalow that stood out...smoothies. They make excellent fruit smoothies that are surprisingly helpful to your Sunday hangover. And if it's a weeknight and you've earned a protein shake, they make delicious ones. I recommend the vanilla butter, and have heard the blueberry butter is good too. Horrible. Walked in no one greeted us the two servers had their faces buried into their phones. We finally sat ourselves and eventually the waitress begrudgingly put her phone down to take our order. The first dish came out relatively quickly the second dish which I ordered (a salad) took more than 20 minutes (it was not busy at all). The person I was with was nearly done with their meal when mine finally appeared at the window. The whole time both servers were sitting at the counter once again faces buried into their phones one even had ear buds in. We had to call over the waitress to tell her my food was was ready, essentially doing the job for her, she brought it over then went right back to her phone. So pathetic. Was in plain sight of paying customers. Another person came in, sat next to them at the counter but neither one of them seemed to realize. After waiting patiently he had to walk over and ASK to order. Complete disregard and disrespect. Worst part was I could see through the window into the kitchen that one cook was completely unmasked while the others had masks around their chins and noses. Disgusting, reckless and dangerous. Never returning and will spread the word to friends and family to avoid this place. I am making a complaint to the DOH for the lack of mask wearing. I am sorely disappointed. Worst service I have ever experienced in Long Beach. We walked in, only to seat ourselves. Waited while four employees sat at counter talking with one another, giving dirty looks to the patrons. When our waiter decided to come for our order he stood and said nothing. Then he was disrespectful as he said "patience" to my friend. The manager clearly couldn't care less about customer service because she never once left the end of the counter and her cell phone. I have a confession. I don't like burritos. Or wraps. They get too full and they break and it's just sadness all around. But the Thai Chicken wrap sounded delicious, so I got it as a rice bowl! They were flexible with the ordering and all of the ingredients were fresh. The chicken and peppers were chopped small enough that you get a taste of everything in one bite which is awesome. My mom got the Cuban panini and the plain cheese quesadilla. It was our first time having anything from here so we didn't know. We weren't warned. It all happened so fast. So. Much. Food. We could have propped up the quesadilla and camped under it. Two days later and I may just finish this rice bowl (which was only 9.95 ) for lunch. Delivery was quick (30 min). Love this place! Personally like this location more than the one on the east end (despite the parking situation) its just a bit more spacious and cleaner. I always get the Jetty Juice, medium is the way to go because the price is right. Best smoothies!!! The tofutti is everything. Perfect lunch if you're coming back from laying on the beach all day. I always get a wrap, its just so fun and easy to eat on a hot summer day. I recommend the South of the Boarder wrap with avocado, or the Baja Shrimp wrap. read more
