The buffaloe chicken crepe was ok. The blue cheese was watered down, no chunks, and no sign of REAL BLUE CHEEESE .. It was pretty bad. Great find after a day at the beach! We were looking for a place to grab coffee and dessert before catching a train. Fresco has great options (an extensive menu with sweet and savory crepes, milkshakes, and wine and prosecco). They offered an incredible mimosa flight with fresh squeezed fruit purees. Good for coming with one other person for quiet conversation. The place could be a bit warmer-feeling (the temperature is fine, I just mean it's a little sterile, the seats aren't cushy). It is many many many years later and I am still frequenting this fine establishment whenever I am in town. Although I usually stick to my favorites, I went a little bit crazy tonight and had a Dubai Chocolate Crepe. Adding the scoop of ice cream is a must! Chocolate ice cream, specifically. I will probably order the apple crepe next time just because my friend I go here with insists on it (and we always split our sweet crepe because they are so filling), but for tonight, I was the queen of Dubai, and the "more chocolate and more pistachio" that they put on top of it was my kingdom. Absolutely delicious. I definetly can see myself working my way through this entire menu. At first we were going to dine in, but opted to order to go - it was too beautiful of a day to not take this food to go and eat on the boardwalk. The restaurant is clean and the staff were very kind. We ordered: The grilled Portobello Mushroom [Savory] Crêpe, the Dulce De Leche with Fresh strawberries [Sweet] Crêpe, a large Cappuchino and a Large Mint Tea. The food came out very promptly; and we were very pleased because everything was Delicous. Needless to say we both were very happy with what we ordered. There crepes are not even folded correctly as French crepes. 2 square crepes with a little piece of ham and 1 small pieces of cheese. There J's more salad than there is crepes. Very expensive for what you get at this location. I also order Cafe Au Lait I also had a coffee business and I have never had this in a milkshake glass before. The proper way is in a very large mouth coffee cup and it's coffee with allot of steam milk. read more

Decided to stop at Fresco's for a light lunch. The crepes never disappoint! We split the ham and cheese crepe and the chicken crepe with spinach and tomato. Both were absolutely delicious and filled with flavor. Each plate comes with a side salad tossed in a light dressing. We had unsweetened iced teas with lemon and for dessert we split the Dulce De Leche crepe which was the cherry on top of a fantastic lunch. Highly recommend if you're in the Long Beach area! Only pain is they are cash only however there're is an ATM inside. This rating is based on my first and last visit to this place. I've had crepes before and I don't think I've ever had a bad one. Anyway, upon entering there are no lights on and it's mid-day in February/March of 2022. There are no dividers between tables and you can reach out and touch the tables to the right or left. We should have left but we drove kind of far to get there. Cash Only sign upon entering but there is an ATM machine in the back that can be seen from the front door (very small place). No music playing, just very light chatter from the other patrons. Very dry atmosphere. Ordered the banana/Nutella crepe and 2 coffees...meh. Place wasn't inviting. Boring, no frills atmosphere and waiter was unenthusiastic. read more

Never knew this place existed until a couple of months ago. Been having a craving so decided on Crepes for dinner since we had a huge savory lunch. I got Banana Nutella and they were out of this world. The crepe itself was cooked to perfection. The bananas were the right texture and also cooked perfectly. I just ordered a strawberry banana Nutella crepe and found it to look weird. Still, I have it a chance. Now, I don't understand if it's a culture thing, but, this crepe was crispy and had sautéed strawberries. Never had I had a crepe with Strawberries that look this way. The taste was weird. I'm heading straight to Tornado crepes. See the difference. It's fresh. I'm under the impression my crepe was microwaved. You know it's really nice to have a spot like this here in Long Beach. As long as the "Crepe Place" never closes down, I will be a happy camper. Being one of the few places in town where you can get a consistently healthy and greaseless meal without the temptation of oversalted french-fries, I'd say 5 stars. The food is always excellent and I mean excellent. Fresh, creative and tasty. Every savory crepe comes with a house salad tossed in the best balsamic I've ever had. Honestly the proportions are as they should be, healthy. I just can't resist and usually order a cup of lentil or tomato-white bean soup too which are both divine. My favorite savory crepe is the chicken, spinach and cheese which I occasionally have the cooks add mushrooms too. Favorite sweet crepe (because I need desert after my dinner and soup) is the banana nutella with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This will knock your socks off. That is if it's snowing out and you're wearing socks. Tasty blended ice coffee drinks, real good san gria and a nice wine selection. Coke comes in an old fashioned style bottle. You get the picture. This place is my favorite for a reason. The cooks work behind a five foot tall bar. You know what this means: no secrets. You'll never get anything old, stale, bitter or soggy from here and if you lie and tell the staff you did, they'll give you something different to keep you happy. Without an eyeroll. Seriously these are nice folks. They've been there for fifteen years. No nonsense, they get you what you ask for and don't bother you with small talk (thank God). Place is on the small size and could be considered cozy during wintertime with the big windows in front overlooking Park Avenue. Has a modern-style look, dim lighting and some magazines to borrow for a screen break. No televisions (thank God again), just some quiet music. In my opinion, Friday and Saturday nights in the summer and around Christmas time are a bit busy, other than that usually a laid back feel with local patrons who've got some cash handy. Take my word for it, being a kitchen queen and prime foodie, this place is top notch and worth a trip to the bank: cash only (which I've actually come to respect). Depending on what side of the table you sit on; your view is either "modern" facing the kitchen or visiting grandma facing the wall decor. The chairs aren't comfortable and I had to dodge dried jelly on the floor. The food is incredible. The crepes are delicious and the drinks are rich. Maybe this is why they're so slacker-buster. The service was slow and kind of like a brush off. There isn't a friendly, chill vibe in here. Country Crepe is really good. This is one of my favorite restaurants on Long Island. Its inexpensive, and the food is heavenly. Plus its located a few blocks away from the beach/boardwalk so you can walk off all those calories! On average the dinner crepes are about $8.99 The portions are not too large which is just perfect because- trust me- you don't want to get stuffed before dessert! If you are in the mood for just a salad, they have large specialty salads that look delicious! The menu is not very large but consists of dishes that include chicken, veggies, mushrooms, seafood, cheeses, soups and salads - guaranteed you will be able to find something you like. Dessert crepes (sweet) are about $6.00 each. My favorite is the banana nutella crepe. It is to die for. If you like sweets, chocolate or desserts this is a must. Its just amazing. Some others to choose from are fresh preserves, honey, dulce de leche, dark chocolate, lemon, etc. They have great drinks as well. This is a great place for a first date, reading a book by yourself, or just hanging out with your friends. It is casual cafe style restaurant where you can come in sweatpants or wear a dress! The staff is very accommodating and always super nice. No matter what day or time Fresco always has a table available and offers great service. My only wish is that this restaurant took credit cards. They do not, CASH ONLY! I would recommend parking in one of those lots in the middle of Park Ave, unless you can get a spot right in front! You've been warned. ) Fresco for me is an in between sort of thing; it's like am I hungry or do I just want something small to hold me over, but I'm sort of hungry are you hungry? So for me this fits the void actually quite nicely. The interior is simple without to much going on, service is efficient with a nice simple menu that moves things along with ease and a good selection between savory and sweet meals that hit a great balance. Their salads are excellent and a great portion that can easily be split if you weren't starving, their crepes are fantastic, and I don't generally care for crepes.
