I've always wanted to visit, having lived in the neighborhood for ten+ years. I finally had an opportunity to visit. I wanted a turkey sandwich on a roll. The service was good and the sandwich good. The store was sparse for a deli, in my experience. The sandwiches are also a tad higher than what I'm used to, but I gladly forked it over for this rare occasion and to support the neighborhood deli. One thing to note is that they are mainly a breakfast/lunch deli as they close before the dinner hour. Do not order from Grubhub, it took an hour and 33 minutes to be delivered. The driver didn't even come to the door, they waited in their car and made us come out to greet them in the rain. Kind of defeats the purpose of paying a delivery fee and tip for the driver. First the good: The breakfast sandwich and the eggrolls were actually quite good, and we would buy those directly from the restaurant again. Now the bad: The Mikey Boy Sandwich, Pisano Sandwich, and Chihuahua Sandwich. They were all delivered ice cold. The Pisano sandwich was supposed to have roasted red pepper and had one small strip of red pepper. The Chihuahua sandwich is advertised as having Pico De Gallo, but they consider a few diced tomatoes and onions "Pico De Gallo". I hate leaving bad reviews for local small businesses, but the 4.5 star review on Yelp is part of the reason I spent $42 at this place, and literally threw away 3 full sandwiches after waiting an hour and a half for food. Homefries contains BACON it does not state anywhere on Uber eats it contains bacon and I don't eat pork or beef so wtf. It's not even typical for people to put bacon in Homefries so that's definitely something you have to state 2. The toast... wasn't toasted it was raw bread and butter like WTF lmaooo cold bread and butter who wants that is that even toast no more 3. The feta in the Greek omelette.... idk wtf that was but it wasn't feta or there was something wrong with it bc the consistency was not there and tasted not like feta.... 4. What a great convenient deli to get what I need and when I need it. We went to our local big supermarket (which we love) and decided to try a new ham that was on sale. The pineapple flavor didn't work for my wife, so I walked to Wheeler Ave. Deli and they hooked me up with a Boar's Head Boiled Ham. Nice! We get our Breakfast Sandwich there once a week. Easily one of the best sandwich places in the area. Definitely my go to for breakfast or lunch. The deli is fresh so none of the meat is ever stale. They do toast the breads and will heat up the meat and cheese if you ask. So far I've tried the honey turkey, pastrami, prosciutto, salami and the chicken breast. I have absolutely no complaints. I do wish they had pickles and vinegar to add to the sandwiches. But it's still very delicious. I definitely recommend this shop. read more
