"Try it, you'll like it!" The previous reviews are not exaggerating about how great Vicky's Deli is. The owner and staff are courteous, friendly and accommodating. Their hot food includes, but not limited to empanadas, pupusas, enchiladas, tacos, scrambled eggs, home fries, rice and beans. Their egg sandwiches are delicious containing great quality fresh rolls and freshly cooked bacon (it's all about the bacon!). The pupusas are delicious and aren't greasy. They are great about making sure large orders are packaged for convenient and comfortable carry. I'm not sure whether or not they raised the price of items like their cohorts have, but their prices are comparatively lower and I'd pay more to keep this business viable. read more

I tried out this place last weekend for the first time. Saw it on a fellow yelper's account. The woman was very attentive, friendly and helpful. I got the breakfast buffet and a cup of coffee. All very good. I have a deli right near where I live and I wish this place was near where I live instead of that other deli. I would probably definitely stop by for at least coffee in the mornings before work. But unfortunately that doesn't work for me since I work in Uniondale. But I'm sure I'll be back during the weekends for some breakfast or lunch. Glad I tried it out. read more

I'm rating this, husband & wife family owned business excellent for the fact that for what Vicky's local deli is its represents outstanding accomplishments which few establishments are capable of. Food is home style fresh cooking which goes on daily. Prices are super affordable and it's spotlessly clean which is a big thing with me. This business receives a lot of its patrons from the trade profession, construction, electrical, plumbing, painting pros looking for food like fried or baked chicken & pork chops, pasta dishes, rices & all sorts of stews & meats. Vicky's is hands down the best deli in town! I live around the block and am here at least twice a week if not more. Vicky offers a variety of foods from breakfast options like egg platters, bacon, pancakes, and potatoes (which are absolutely to die for) to authentic hot Spanish food (her tamales are incredible) to deli staples like fried chicken cutlets and grilled chicken and a wide selection of Boars head cold cuts. Her chicken cutlets are perfectly crispy and they're the next best thing to my mothers chicken cutlets. She also makes these INCREDIBLE chocolate chip cookies that are SOO ADDICTING! Once you have one, you go back for more. If you don't see something you want on the menu, Vicky will almost always make it for you and will try to be as accommodating as possible. I would describe Vicky's as delicious home cooking when you don't feel like doing it yourself. I've also used Vicky's for family parties and smaller get togethers. I let her know a day or two in advance (depending on the amount of people and food I need), and she never fails! And the food is always presented well, if I may add. Everyone is always surprised when I tell them the food is from Vickys, but do not underestimate this deli - it will become your favorite!!! The service is prompt and the prices are very reasonable as compared to other delis in town. It is run by Vicky and her husband, and they are the definition of hard workers. Everything here is hot and fresh. Delicious. The pepper steak and onions is a must. Get it on top of rice or yuca, or pasta. Be sure and have a tamale as well, they are amazing. The desserts are also delicious. Don't look for prices for the hot food because they're not listed...they'll just take one look at what u got and give u very reasonable price. Asked Vicky about a menu; but they keep such a variety daily, that she does not publish one. Got so much that I had to take about half home in a box. They have pupusas revueltas, tamales de elote y de pollo, desayuno todo el dia, empanada de queso y tambien de carne. Excellent selection of very high-end dessert, (example: tiramisu, and other cakes, etc.). Coffee station, brewed iced tea & lemonade, as well. The flavor of everything was fantastic.
