Went to this place for a surprise baby shower and they got a patron for life. What a great little Spanish bar. The music and atmosphere is traditional Latin theme. The staff was wonderful and fast. I really enjoyed the place. I was even greeted by the owner, Santos, a very nice guy. But let me tell you about the food, In one word.......Amazing! They stick to the classic Spanish menu when the food came out hot and fresh. My favorite was the steak, it was cooked well and marinated well. It held in great flavor and was easy to cut. The buffalo wings were also a hit. They were the first to go, and everyone took some. They were meaty and had a little kick to them. Normally I don't like them that way but they made them well. If I ever have my need to do Spanish food again and I'm in the area, this will be the place I go to. read more

Ate here today...recently moved from queens and i am such a foodie! This place was okay.. The food: it was okay. We had the Bifstec al caballo, mar y tierra, tamal de elote and 2 drinks (patron & cranberry) The pros: the tamal was really good, staff was really friendly and polite. It did not take as long as everyone says it does. The cons: food lacks flavor and...the already included service charge for 2 people before 6pm. We really saw no reason for this service charge. The staff was friendly but friendly and efficient are 2 different things. We had to ask another waitress for water and had 1 waitress take our order that i repeated 2 times and had another waitress run my order. The bill took forever to come...for the surprise of the added service charge. Final thoughts: ill come here only for a tamal to go! Ill drive back to queens for actual food until i find something near our new home. read more

Today I ordered a meal that was 13 dollars @ 6:33 pm it did not arrive till 3 hours later I am serious they accidentally delivered my food to another place and the person paid for it ! I then called the shop but there environment was so loud that got my address wrong then they sent the driver with my food second time and they got the address wrong again ! Yes wow such service was madness then after that the driver calls me back to get full address again because the lady who picked up & owner did not understand me and I speak Spanish what a shame ! Tip (turn down music ) I said yes I like the food delivered and I have ordered numerous times and this was the 2nd time last time was 1 hour & this time it was 3 hours but this is not all Have you in mind if you are late for three hours you would think they would give you the food complimentary nooooo!!!! Not them they reduced it only 3 dollars I guess a dollar for every dollar so if I waited 14 hours for the food I would of got it free ! The place in side is not a good environment for me & all you people can take your chance on that but the service makes me never ever to order from them ever again till I die because it is a shame that the owner did not even seem to care I guess it's normal for them to have such service ..... You'd think that during COVID-19 their goal as a bar/restaurant to become more efficient when it comes to delivering food or preparing food that they wouldn't take so long but they do. It's a nice location, the food is great and the price is fair. The only issue is the food takes a long time to come out. Our waitress was Rosie, she was on top of everything gave us plenty of time to look over the menu, attentive checking on us to assure we had everything we needed, brought over nachos and frijoles con queso fresco for appetizers. No beer on tap here, we had Model and Pinot Grigio (only white wine choice). We ordered corn tamale and beef empanada for appetizer, oxtail soup, tilapia in cream sauce, porgy, coffee and tres leche. Everything was good, I noticed a pool table in the side room, will definitely be back I was told the papusa is very good and I saw another table getting the seafood soup that looked really good. So I walked up to where a man was standing behind the bar and asked for a lunch menu(like the paper that is on the wall when you first enter)... He gave me a dinner menu at 12pm... I've been going to this spot for a couple years now, basically since they opened. They always made great dishes at pretty cheap prices. The only downfall was that the waitresses spoke Spanish, and weren't very good with English. Well, that's pretty much changed and the waitresses are pretty good with English now. They recently changed the quality of food and the way they make some of their dishes (the steak fajita for example). OH MY GOD this place is better than before. If I could give 6 stars I would. Everything here is awesome! The empanadas, steak and chicken fajitas, the soups, tacos...everything. We've never had a bad experience here. This place is a hidden gem. Not to mention their prices are extremely fair for the amount of food you get. I would highly recommend this to anyone in the VS area. read more

I arrive at the restaurant Saturday with a friend who wanted to eat a "sopa de marisco" as he had recommended the restaurant. I ordered the mar y tierra thinking the food would be at least halfway decent. it took almost an hour for the food to arrive, It looked presentable but when i took a bite of the steak it was entirely overcooked it tasted more like liver than a steak. The shrimp tasted like charcoal, the chicken was so dry and the sausage tasted like water had no flavor whatsoever.. i attempted to eat the rice but at that point i was upset. A waiter finally came by and asked if i wanted to take the plate to go as i had only tasted the plate because it was so terrible i didn't even attempt to eat it. I told her i didn't want to take the food home because it did not taste good.. The waiter instead of asking what was wrong just said "ok" with an attitude and took the plate away. The friend i went with also complained his soup had no flavor and was disappointed.
